THE WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. You will see 90% of reviews are BAD about this outfit. They claim to require FULL NAME on credit cards when you arrive, and then make you pay for the car in cash on a debit card. They are now under investigation by my lawyer in the UK and we will be looking to bring proceedings under the consumer protection act EU/Poland. See you in court Global….your contracts are full of holes under EU & Polish law and they are therefore baseless in my opinion, and we will fight to prove this in a court of Law !!. You are coercing people to take insurance so you can earn commission from them. You have 1050 reviews with 90 "Bad". Is this a coincidence? I don't think so !!! All "in my humble opinion" until proven guilty (as advised in law), so we will see what the court decides !! People and other customers……be warned !!

Horrible experience, wish I had read reviews before.

It was exactly like others wrote – they refused to take my card and essentially forced to pay double for the car which was packaged as "full insurance + fuel" followed by misogynistic comments how I don't need to worry about any accidents or scratches since I'm fully covered by insurance

Absolute scam!!
They Didn鈥檛 want to accept any of my bank cards as and did not accept my fianc茅 credit card
Therefore We had no choice to pay an extra 拢370 To hire the car To cover an additional insurance they insisted we had to pay for As a consequence , on top of our already purchased rental agreement of 拢280

Our original agreement was a Volkswagen Golf with all aspects of the car covered, in the end we got something completely down graded and paid almost 拢700 For.

It鈥檚 just heartbreaking , fianc茅 was crying and I just didn鈥檛 know what possible choice I had.
They showed no remorse , complete animals crocodiles / sharks

We rent a car from the company who clearly take advantage of their customers. They try the best to rip off people as much as they can . For reasons like our credit card did not had full name on the card that鈥檚 why it wasn鈥檛 accepted. What a joke UK credit cards dose not have full name on the card. Being on airport at midnight with newborn baby we did not had choice to purchase full insurance that doesn鈥檛 need our credit card anymore. Which will cost you 25 euro a day. So that was the only way to be able to travel to our hotel which was 2 hours away.
In my opinion this company should be investigated as it doesn鈥檛 comply with any standards of trade or services that they provide . How surprising is that almost all customers been ripped off for such small reasons !!!! I believe that they are just looking for excuses like that to be able to take advantage of people and charge them money . I am not gonna be one of those people and I am taking this further as this is total disgrace .

Paid 拢80 for a car for a week, Wroclaw airport got a Kia Ceed petrol with lane assist. 拢40 in petrol for 600km. Perfect for the money.

Horrible service. A week after returning the car, I noticed a charge on my credit card statement. I contacted the broker company – Argus Hire – who were very helpful and sent me all the details. Global charged me over 拢100 for a missing plastic wheel cap when it was missing on pick up! They did not contact me at all, I have never even heard from them. Absolutely horrendous.

Very Bad Experience, I bought full car protection with car rental but that protection been without paint scratches protect, so if you will scratch a car you are not protected at all and if you are renting a car you need that if you don't want to pay any penalties for scratches. So at a place, I paid for insurance again with a different insurance company.
So i rent a car with “full protect“ for 180 pounds and i paid extra 200 more for insurance at pick up car place.
Also, i paid extra for gasoline but i chose insurance and gas will be on this price, after couple of days i go there for a refund for an extra gas what i paid and they say i need contact with the same person who charges me extra, don't receive a refund because i wait for the plane in that time so i cannot wait a day or two more to speak with this guy, its a joke company. If you rent a car there you will be paid a lot of money more than you think

It appears I was one, of many, scammed by this car rental agency. Global/ Flex Rent a Car claimed I returned the car with four new damages. Upon inspection of the time stamped videos/ photos I took before and after, as well as the knowledge I didn't have any issues with the car, I looked into the reputation of this car rental agency online. I was distraught to see ~800+ negative reviews of this companies operation in Poland (on Trustpilot/ Google Reviews/ TripAdvisor) and upon looking into specific reviews, a theme becomes noticable: they bait foreign customers with low prices and add bogus damage (either 1. Pre-existing and not marked , so they can claim it was your damage or 2. Damage that simply doesn't exist, in the hopes the customer doesn't carefully document ALL angles of the car ). When you check-out of the garage, there is NO employee to mark additional damage with, which is part of their ploy. They only have one worker in the office, about a 10 minute walk away from the garage. The customers only course of action is to take pictures and video, which fortunately I did. However, such videos/ pictures have no audience with the customer service team which either doesn't respond to emails or responds with boiler plate.

Upon further research, Global/ Flex Rent a Car in Poland has a reputation for renting out high mileage vehicles and identifying existing very minor scratches that it will claim was made by the customer. The customer is initially unlikely to take a picture of a small scratch, that is hardly visible to the eye, as they would deem it to not be necessary.

I also paid a surcharge to return the car out-of-office hours. I believe clients like me are further targeted because we can't prove our defense with an employee. I never signed any documentation closing out the car rental agreement, but they have still deducted money from my security deposit.

Another lesser, but still relevant part of their scam, is to charge customers fees if a car is returned clean or dirty. Fortunately, I knew this unique policy, so I made sure to return the car cleaner than I received it. Needless to say, they marked that I returned the interior dirty, which is simply not the case as I vacuumed the interior and washed the wintermats.

For those who see this, copy and paste your review of the company on the Google Maps page of the location that scammed you! Help fellow consumers avoid this unethical company.

Very bad, never again!!!!!!!

The rental conditions of this company state that a credit card should have the first name on it. Unfortunately, I only have 3 credit cards. NONE of them state my first name (!). How on earth is this possible? I could prove it was my card but they just didn't accept it.

The rental was possible but then I would have to pay all kinds of extra's which I didn't want or needed. Like a full tank of gas upfront. It just didn't feel right and I cancelled the whole thing.

This line in the conditions is just a way of getting more money from you than they offer. And when you ask about it they simply reply: You should have read the conditions and will not help at all.

Scam company avoid. This is the second time i used them as I thought my first experience was just a one off and as they seemed cheap I would try again but I didn鈥檛 learn my lesson. Two years ago I rented a car a car from krakow and they tried to charge me 拢300 for a scratch I didn鈥檛 cause but my cc company didn鈥檛 pay it. Fast forward to another skiing trip this month. They would not accept my credit card because it was only valid for two months not three so I had to pay a non refundable deposit of 拢165. I checked all the rental companies in the airport and they were fine with a credit card with only two months expiry but not good old Global scam car! I should have read their t&cs but hey ho! Apparently this includes a risk free excess and a free tank of fuel. So I returned the car last week and have just seen a pending transaction for 拢60 on my debit account. I haven鈥檛 received an invoice or anything so this is an authorised transaction which is illegal and I have no idea what it鈥檚 for either. I go to Krakow a lot and even global seem cheap upfront, it really isn鈥檛 worth the hassle dealing with their fraudulent after costs. The reason why they only accept credit cards with three months expiry is so that can rip you off after. Avoid like the plague otherwise you will get ripped off. Ryanair should not promote this vile company.

I got a car from Global, through Booking and then I read all the horror stories, and went to Munich airport expecting to be robbed in daylight.
The only negative was that they made me make an extra insurance (worth about 60 euros) because I only had debit cards and not credit cards. Technically they do specify you cannot rent with a debit card, so I'll take the blame for this. However it was not all bad, as they only reserved 250 euros instead of the regular 1000.
Then they asked me if i was willing to get one of their newer cars (a Skoda Kodiaq) that had been used for only 300 kilometers, so i accepted. There was some small lie there (one of the guys said it was a 4×4, but it was not), but the car itself was pretty good and it was only 2 weeks old (checked the car certificate)
Having read all the stories about scratches I have looked for tiny scratches on the new car, and once i found one i told the guy supervising the cars about it. He actually came with a lantern and spotted another 3, in areas i had not seen, and marked them in the papers.
When I returned the car it was a rainy day so obviously the car was not in pristine condition. I was kind of expecting a long haggle to get my 250 euros reserve back, but much to my surprise i got it about 24 hours after i returned the car.
My experience was a solid 4 (maybe 4.5) and not the 1.4 average i see here.

Do not use this company!
Told me my booking isn't accepted because my credit card had my initials not my full name.
Asked me to cancel booking with broker and rebook at the desk which I did.
Couldn't cancel booking as abroad.
They then told the broker I had took the first booking and double charged me.
Car had been smoked in, wasn't full of fuel and was dirty.

Car was damaged from the outside and dirty inside.
On return the office was closed and noone was picking up the phone on number provided. After 30 minutes of waiting I left keys in the box. A few days later I got charged for damages which I didnt make. They are just slealing money.

Nie polecam – samoch贸d brudny i z uszkodzeniami. Przy zwrocie biuro bylo zamkniete i nikt nie odbieral telefony na infolini. Po 30 minutach czekania zostawilem kluczyk w skrzynce. Po kilku dniach zotalem obciazony za rzekome uszkodzenia auta.

Be very careful I can鈥檛 believe Ryan air would use these horrible people

Wroclaw Airport
fantastic service from Global Car. I didn't like the car (my personal preference) and they have done great job to find better replacement.
I had a free upgrade and cheaper insurance just to make sure that I would leave satisfied.
Thanks Global Car – defo will use you use your service again.
