I just got a full refund of the 330 pounds that Gigsberg was trying to steal from me. I got it no thanks to Gisberg, which continued to the end to make lying promises about how my money would be refunded (perhaps in the afterlife), but thanks entirely to John Lewis, issuer of the Visa card with which I paid for my tickets. The Gigsberg goofballs, having no shame, actually tried to dissuade me from turning to John Lewis for help, claiming that many card issuers refuse to grant "chargebacks." Do pursue this avenue, and NEVER do business with these jokers again. Lies are their stock in trade.

No answer to phones, automatic email response telling you that a representative will contact you asap. That does not happen, after numerous emails to them.
Small claims court cannot help as they do not have a UK address.
Their policy states full refund.
I am so sure that I will not get my 拢363 back, that if I do. I will donate all of it to charity. It won't happen.

STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. Should have checked reviews before buying tickets.

Edit: The tickets were purchased for 258 euros and Gigsberg deems the resale value to be 61.90 pounds.

Emailed management:

Hello XXXXXX,

Thank you for responding. We are both aware that the concert was postponed. I just find it unreasonable that you would hold on to 258 euro of my money for another year for the sake of holding on to it. Doing business comes with small print like you are referring to, and I am aware of that, but it also comes with good customer service.

Put yourself in my shoes. I planned this a year in advance having saved up. I had to make sure kids were taken care of while away, had to arrange for plane tickets, plan time off in collaboration with my job, plan accommodation while in Ireland etc. etc. It is not an easy making everything fall into place.

You are essentially telling me oh well, just make the same arrangements next year. It is not like I live down the street and can show up any time I want – I live in another country. With that perspective in mind, please issue a refund.

Thank you for your reply and for voicing your concerns.

Because the event has been rescheduled to the new date and according to our Terms and Conditions, which you agreed at the time of the purchase, it does not meet the criteria for restitution at this time.

We do, however, provide you with the opportunity to list your tickets for sale on the Gigsberg platform, should you find you are unable to attend the newly scheduled date for any reason.

With the event a year away, should you decide to list your tickets for sale, we anticipate they will sell successfully, however, we are hopeful you will have the chance to attend the event as you originally intended.

At this time we ask for your patience as the date of the event gets a bit closer before making a decision, as there is still ample time.

As all of us are affected by this global situation, we wish you to stay safe and well and please let us know if we can answer any further questions.

I got a ticket for UFC London which got cancelled, then they lied to me via emails saying they have refunded my money but it鈥檚 stuck somewhere and kept on lying to me until recently they told me they gave me a coupon code and stopped answering my emails. The most ironic part is they tell you to stay safe cause of COVID even though they stole the money that I need now badly in this harsh times.
I鈥檝e never seen anything like this even in the Balkans where scamming is so common, I am simply devastated and can鈥檛 believe this is happening in United Kingdom and they can get away with it.

I am just echoing every other 1 star ratings. My hubby got me tickets for GNR and as the concert has been cancelled due to COVID 19, they will not refund and are saying we can resell tickets when we have a new date (if it ever happens). I am now worried the company goes bust and we never have a chance to get some money back. Will try Visa and see if we get lucky that way. Will also report to BBC watchdog.

Hi Loverly friends.
If you have paid by Visa you can claim back your money
you will need proof that you have paid and they won't give you your money back. To claim, phone your provider tell them you have been charged by Ginsberg and they are refusing to refund your money/
Use the wording that you want to claim under section 75 of the fraud act. Banks have a duty to pay you back and they can debit Gigsberg's account.

Do not buy tickets from Gigsberg!

Although their website say that all tickets for concerts cancelled because of COVID-19 will be refunded, they refuse to reimburse anything. Their excuse is that financial institutions take more than 3 months to implement payments. Their customer service is useless. Will report them for fraud.

Absolute scum. Impossible to speak to anyone, all they do is copy and paste their terms and conditions. Brought tickets for a concert that has been postponed by over a year and now clashes with a wedding and they will not refund.Suggest I resell but won't release the money until after the concert so holding my money for over 2 years. They encourage and support illegal ticket sales. SCUM!!!

The fact i have to give them 1 star is more than they deserve. For 2 months they have said my refund is being processed and every chaser is the same excuse about financial institutions not having the bandwidth to process payment instructions….as someone who has experience of payments infrastructure I am very cynical.

Another person here who has been offered vouchers for 120% of ticket value but NEEDS THEIR MONEY BACK. Spent several hours trying to get through to Gigsberg customer service but get cut off after 5 minutes on hold. They don't answer emails either. There's only a certain amount of time you can use the COVID19 excuse when you are withholding people's money illegally without them getting angry

The website states that they will refund money in full if an event is canceled. Well, my concert was canceled and they were responding to emails with a prewritten response that stated my order is in accounting and being processed. That was a few months ago. Now they don't even respond. They are stealing money from people that could desperately use it in these times.

MY money is in their "accounting department". They said this on april 10 or 24 march…They said i havent get my money because of the "financial instituts." No financial institut is so slow even in times like.this. They are lying… Dont book with liars. Book at your honest local store…. They let others look bad because of their bad financial situation. Thats not the acting every economy needs in times like this. Let them "die"… They should have just say the truth to me and everything would be fine… scams…

Brought tickets for guns n roses concert cancelled can't get through to anyone apart from there WhatsApp keep being asked for my patience but when your not working and owed 340 pounds for a cancellation of event its tough. Will never buy from this company again. Ticketmaster refunded me for a Kasabien concert that was due to take place this month weeks ago. Poor poor customer service

Disgusting liars. I too was promised a refund. Same story no reply to emails or phone calls. They have illegally said they will not issue a refund for the White snake tickets I bought for my daughter for Xmas. I have reported this on the .Government website for fraud. DO NOT buy from this company they are theives

Gigsberg and cancellation don鈥檛 seem to go well .
The 鈥榞igsberg guarantee鈥?seems to have failed miserably !
Watchdog logged and chargeback via bank applied for after constant emails sent to them over the last 6 weeks stating 鈥?I don鈥檛 want a voucher worth 120% of my original purchase!! I鈥檇 like a refund please 鈥?surprisingly no response .
Will be keeping well away … never again!!!

They still have not refunded me for UFC 171 fight night canceled at the 02 arena that was supposed to happen on the 21st of March. – 3 Months ago.
They should change their name to Scamberg

Like many of the other posts listed on here, I too was assured of a refund from the reseller when I made a purchase of tickets to see Pearl Jam perform on the 10th of July in Hyde Park. Despite the event having been cancelled and assurances previously from the seller that I would be given a full refund, they have since fobbed me off by trying to issue me with vouchers, which I have refused to accept! I have checked the status of the seller with STAR (Society of Ticket Agents and Resellers and it doesn't appear that they have registered with them. I may now try my luck with Trading Standards or the Citizens' Advice Helpline. I feel that we must pursue this as a matter of principle! Absolutely disgusting for the money I have paid!!
