Shocking treatment. The last two visits that I had made to this Dentist have been running late. One of 30-35 minutes, the other was 25 minutes. This morning was no different. The Dentist sauntered in at 09:25 (the time that I should have be starting my treatment 鈥?I was the second appointment of the morning) smiling and with a cup of coffee. She obviously had enough time (despite being late) to get a coffee from the local Starbucks! When I spoke to the secretary asking if they were running late, she said that she didn't know if the Dentist was in yet or not. I remarked that she had turned up late and maybe that it was her job to know if the appointments were on time and if the Dentist had even arrived! Eventually I was seen 20 minutes late. No apology, no smile when I went in. She spent 30 seconds looking at my teeth. Said that I needed a filling replacing (I knew this… this is why I had booked in to see her and this was the filling that she had done only last year) and that my lower teeth needed some extra cleaning. Then that I should re-book. I asked if it was possible to do the work now? 鈥楴o鈥?was the answer without an explanation. Before I left the room, I asked if it was normal for her to be late into work as all of my previous appointments had been late. She replied that she was only 7 minutes late that that was not late for her. I replied that everyone else was here and that she was setting a bad precedent to the practice and customers. She just replied that it wasn't that late. My reply was that late is late, no matter how much and that it wasn't good enough, also that I still had not had an apology. 鈥業 am the customer and I'm paying you.鈥?She said that she would not charge me the 拢21.60 for this morning (for 2 minutes work) and that I should look elsewhere for a Dentist. I would seriously reconsider going to Genix again. If you want a proper service with fillings that don't fall out, staff that know when they're Dentists have arrived and Dentists that actually care about getting to work and looking after their clients, I would look elsewhere. A total disgrace. A shambles from the beginning and complete lack of respect!
