They stole my money. They didn't send one of my lizards and then the 2nd one was dead because they didn't send it overnight which I had paid for. They ignore all emails.

I would not buy from this site ever again! They seem like a good website to buy a tortoise form, but they sadly arent. First of all their customer service sucks, when you email them something about your order they won't email you back until the morning at 6am. They tortoise i received was in DECENT condition. It did not seem to be very energetic and the shell had little pyramiding. Overall DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!!!

I ordered a few various reptiles, read all about their shipping guarantees, etc. My credit card was charged within 24 hours. Never got a tracking number, never got a confirmation email, nothing. Finally I emailed them (which trackign down an email for them is next to impossible) and was told they were out of stock. I requested multiple times then to cancel the order since they were not able to give me a time when they would be bakc in stock. So I was out $200 and had no animals or even a timeframe of when they would have them. I finally issued a complaint with the BBB and they did refund the money then.

My advice, stay far far away.

I ordered a pair of rough green snakes, they were packed very well to make sure that the animals were protected during shipping. They were shipped exactly how the website describes and they followed up after the purchase via email to make sure I was happy. I would definitely use them again.

I ordered one baby albino leopard gecko from this site. Like it was already said, the glowing testimonials on this site make it seem legit. While they promise only the healthiest animals, the one I got was shipped also substandard. The gecko was sick before even being shipped. He was thin, inactive, and lethargic. He only weighed half of what he should have at his age.

About an hour after receiving the lizard, I sent generalexotics an email, describing how disappointed I was in the condition of the animal. I provided pictures. The poor gecko died about 10 hours after I received him. I sent them an email the next day, explaining that the lizard died. I insisted on a refund of my money, including shipping. I thought it was ridiculous that they would even ship a gecko that was so obviously ill and undernourished.
I waited two days.
Sent them another email, explaining my two previous emails, re-linking all the pictures (including one of the gecko now dead) and insisting on having a refund.

They have not replied to me a single time. I would never recommend this site to anyone.

still waiting on my crickets and its been 9 days. i never got a tracking number like they advertise only 1 email after several to them saying they dont know when ill get my crickets and that they dont get tracking numbers. i mean really? who doesnt get a tracking number when they ship something? the phone number on the site is just a fax so now i have to fight just to get my money back. do not deal with generalexotics.com if you want your purchase to come to you alive.

Total Scam. I ordered a kingsnake and after a month I still don't have it. They won't respond, won't refund my money, stay away from this place.

Poor customer service. Shopped online for Tiger Salamanders. Found this website. Read all the glowing reviews written about their animals and customer service. The website had only three types of salamanders "IN STOCK." Tiger Salamander was one of the three indicated as "IN STOCK." Made my purchase, but did not hear or receive any shipping confirmation for the remainder of the week. Had to contact the website directly. Eric advised me that they were out of stock and apologized. He said he would contact me on Monday after the weekend as to whether or not they would receive any stock in the near future. Monday came and went without any contact. On Tuesday I, again, had to initiate contact with the website. Eric responded that he "forgot about me." I cancelled my order and requested a refund. Obviously, this company needs to update their stock in real time to prevent purchases from being accepted. Also, past performance is not necessarily indicative of their current ability to fulfill orders. Customers don't care as much about how well you did in the past, if you cannot live up to that performance in the present. Would not recommend this company.

I have a few frogs that eat me out of house and home where crickets are concerned. I purchased 500 crickets from generalexotics.com and I was disappointed with the mortality rate upon delivery. The next time I ordered 1000 thinking that it would help offset the ones that died in shipping. I'm not going to imply that I counted my crickets but I received approximately the same number of live crickets as I did with the smaller order. Last week I had to order crickets again. This time I ordered from Fluker Farms and the order cost about the same but the shipping was substantially more than generalexotics.com, which is why I ordered from them to begin with. To make a long story short, I was very pleased with my Fluker Farms purchase. I had very few casualties and healthier crickets from Flukers. I will never order from generalexotics.com again.

For a company that states they have an experienced vet that visits weekly and 30 years experience in shipping animals i would say they fall short in both catagories. I recently ordered some tree frogs.The shipping methods were extremely substandard and unfortunately one did not make it and was dead on arrival due to a heat pack being placed directly on top of the deli cup the frog was in. The two surviving frogs are in very poor condition, bacterial infections of the skin most commonly associated with a dirty enclosure. which would of been present before being shipped. I e-mailed the company about the situation, and requested any information i could get on the frogs, i.e. diet, age, possible exposure to disease, etc.. all i got in response was, ok we'll ship you a new one, they were all alive and healthy when we shipped them, things happened. No where in there did they express any concern for the two still living animals, nor did they even acknowledge my questions about the background of the frogs. This was also the second request i had made about the background of the frogs. Previous request was also ignored. I would definately reccomend avoiding this company, unless poor service and sick animals is what you want.

This website is possibly the worst I have ever visited. In the beginning, they seems as a pretty legit and good website, so I made a purchase of two lizards from them for a total of 80$. I received the lizards in decent condition and had them for 2 weeks, then one died..They say in their About Us section "An exotic animal veterinanarian stops by at least once a week for checkups and what he recommends is what is exactly what is done. A healthy diet is provided to each and every animal. The rooms and cages are clean and sanitary environments. We never ever ship pets that we know are not 100% healthly." That is a quote directly from the source, and here is a key sign…1st off, they spelled Veterinarian wrong, I'm not sure how the hell you can do that, and spelled Healthy wrong…If you know anything about lizard care, you know that any disease that takes over a lizard bad enough to kill it takes over 2 weeks time, which ensures that they DO NOT have the care that they say, as well as they DO ship animals if they are not 100% healthy. When I tried contacting them with my concerns about this topic, I have still not been able to receive an email back from them at all, which is stupid…I asked for a $15 refund (the price of one lizard) or a replacement lizard yet no response. So now, I am planning on filing some form of a lawsuit if possible, and reporting them for inability to comply to their own terms. So if you are ever thinking about buying an exotic or even normal reptile at all, AVOID THESE PEOPLE AT ALL COSTS!!!!!
