Just saw a video on YouTube where a Delta flight attendant was incredibly rude to a passenger DeAnna Lorraine whose mask had slipped. She was told she was banned from Delta by attendant who should be fired. Trying to get rid of customers obviously. Fair enough. Will not use when in the States.

Our experience of Delta airlines in flying to New York, Las Vegas and Atlanta has been nothing short of fantastic. Reasonable prices compared to their partner Virgin, good service and welcoming staff at airports and on flights. The one thing that changed our view even more was a refund sent to our credit card because they changed our seat to a row behind. This was the same seats that we had booked, but due to a different plane the configuration was different. We did not have to ask for money back, we did not expect it, but Delta advised us that they felt that they had let us down. You guessed it, if we fly again to the USA it will be with Delta rather than Virgin or BA.

Like so many others, Delta Air Lines also published on their website that their top priority is the health and safety of their clients blablabla鈥?Therefore they would not charge any cancelation or change fees during the Chinese coronavirus outbreak. They did indeed waive the change fee but when rebooking the business class fare was 2.5 times more expensive for the same flight. Understand this correctly: the fare was 2.5 times more expensive when rebooking, but not when booking a new flight on that same date. For a new booking the fare was the same as for the original booking. So I canceled. Instead of waiving the cancelation fee as promised on their website, they charged a US$350 cancelation fee. Hypocritical crooks! No more booking with Delta. Ever.

My flight from the Bahamas to Boston got in early on March 15th. I was scheduled for an over three hour wait but I noticed an earlier flight to my next destination of Raleigh-Durham. I asked if I could be put on the earlier flight, and although I did not have a flexible ticket, a supervisor made the switch. I was thus able to get to my hotel early enough to switch to a better room and pick up some supplies before stores closed. THANK YOU Delta!!

Wow, talk about getting the run-around. We had booked 2 flights through Westjet (as serviced by DELTA) to Washington D.C. to see my sick father-in-law. We had a meager 3.5 days to handle several crucial legal and health matters related to his care (this was all we could afford to take from work). Our connecting Delta flight was cancelled due to a mechanical issue. Needless to say we spent several hours in limbo waiting to hear when the next connecting flight would be arriving. It ended up that the soonest flight to connect us to D.C. would mean spending the night sleeping in airports and we would lose almost 24 hours in total from our trip- which was NOT a feasible option. So we ended up renting a car and driving down to D.C. from Toronto (it was a LONG drive, but it still shaved off well over half a day). We called Delta and Westjet right away to cancel our connecting flights to D.C. and were told by 2 Delta agents that we could reasonably expect a refund due to it being the Airline's error. After more than 6 phone calls between Delta AND Westjet, they kept passing the buck and saying it was the other's fault (what is this – recess at the schoolyard ?). What an utter waste of time. And no refund, no sympathy or apology even for the issue. I will think twice before making ANY booking through Delta or Westjet since they clearly do not care whatsoever about customer service, they were not even willing to liaise with one another to handle/resolve the issue. Terrible customer service – and it was already a massively inconvenient situation !

I strongly recommend that you avoid Delta airline if possible!!!

I was traveling with my child from Phoenix to Copenhagen and I had an awful experience with Delta airlines.

I had 2 tickets (my child 4 y.o. and me) with 23kg (approx 50 lb) each. Because I was traveling alone with a small child i have decided to pack everything in one checking luggage. When I checked in, my luggage was 54lb, and i proceed to drop off. After 30min wait, the lady there ( Teresa Murray) told me that the luggage is 56lb and i need to pay 95USD for overweight. I told her that I have paid for 2 x 23kg and she told me that i need to check 2 bags or pay the 95 usd. I wanted to repack my hand luggage and check it in, but she told be that I need to go back in line. I had no chance to get in time for the plane, not to mention the tired 4 y.o. child at 5AM.
I told her that it is extortion and that the scale is not correct. She was rude and told me that it is not true.

After I paid 95USD we could get on the plane to New York.

At the airport I could see that i am seated away from my child and if I wanted to seat to my 4 years old child I had to pay 55USD more!!! Again, I paid a full price tickets from Europe, I travel quite often, and never had experienced such a rude and extort attitude from an airline. After talking to 3 persons and pointing Delta's rules for travel with children, I got seated by my child!

I really think Delta should try to educate the people working for the company.

Kind regards

Myself and my wife travelled from anew York to Boston on NYE. When I got to our seats on the aircraft there was a air stewardess stood at my seat I looked down and there was food all on my seat that hadn鈥檛 been cleaned off. I looked at her as if to say am I supposed to sit on that or clean it myself she just looked and walked back down to the back of the plane. I wiped the seat down myself and then the plane was delayed 3 hours while we were sat on it due to an engineering issue. All round a poor and inadequate service from these guys I wouldn鈥檛 use again unless I had too!

Recent trip from BWI to SHV and return:

CRJ in SHV had no discernible air from the overhead vents while on the ground during sweltering heat….Buy some air conditioners! Complained to FA about the lack of air and she answered " yeah, this is a known crummy plane "…… but they keep flying it!
MD88 ATL to BWI had no water in the restrooms for handwashing while on the ground…a serious sanitation issue.
Same plane had frayed seatbelts and also a loose plastic cabin panel in the passenger compartment.
Also had to sit next to an enormous fat woman whose bulk spilled over the armrest onto me. Big people need larger seats to keep the rest of us from being crushed.
This airline has a fee for everything. If they could figure a way to charge you for the air you breathed on their crummy, dirty planes. they would do so.
Avoid! Take a train

I can't believe all these negative comments. Really, we had a great flight from Zurich to New York and back. Very friendly and gentle personal. No problems, everything was okay.

Beware Delta airlines!
I booked a flight earlier this year directly with Delta, I entered all my details, credit card stuff etc then hit 'buy'.
Immediately a box opened up saying that there was high demand for these seats and I either pay approx 拢100 extra per passenger or lose the seats, as we wanted the holiday we had no option other than to pay the extra.
When we got home I contacted trading standards, they told me to contact ATOL, which I did but they said it's nothing to do with them, best try IATA, which I did, they told me it's nothing to do with them either but I should try ATOL….
So I tried free legal advice who told me it's a bit of a grey area, if my money has been taken from the card then Delta can't change the price, but I have no way of proving whether the money has been taken or not. They did say though that even if it's legal it's not ethical.
So I wrote to Delta, they basically said tough luck, that's the way we operate.
There was nothing on the site to say prices may be subject to change at the last second but I'll bet that if I'd changed my mind a millisecond after hitting 'buy' I wouldn't have been able to say I didn't want the flights!
I've booked many flights, my wife booked thousands as part of her job as a pa and never heard of it, so I guess that being professional scumbags is just part and parcel of being Delta airlines.
Best avoided if possible,

I'm not sure what the best method of contact is as your staff on the gate clearly aren't the right way.
Due to the bad weather Atlanta was having (09/08/18) our plane circled over the airport as we weren't cleared to land. I understand this is out on Delta's control but everything afterwards was.
When we eventually landed around 40 minutes later, we had to wait another 25 minutes to get into a walkway as no other flights had left. Again, not Delta's fault or ours.
Us and around 10/12 families rushed to the Delta gate to catch our flight to Manchester (Flight 536) to see the plane still at the gate but we were refused entry. I understand there are certain policies but the flight delay isn't our fault.
Your app told us there was a delay, yet your pilot wouldn't be able to find that out? I find that very hard to believe.
This was only the start of my problems.
Salvatore was the only person from the whole of the Delta crew that wasn't completeley unhelpful, rude, ignorant and obnoxious. He tried his best and eventually managed to get us re routed from our direct flight from Atlanta to Manchester and took us to Orlando and then Orlando to Manchester, not ideal but acceptable.
Salvatore also gave us a 30% hotel reduction as we had to spend overnight in Atlanta.
We eventually found a hotel ourselves as no staff would help us with that, we had to find our own way there, again with no help.
The 30% coupon was worth the paper it was printed on as when we checked the prices online that we paid they were the eact same.
We later found out from other families that were in the same predicament that got seen to after us not only got FREE hotel rooms but also got free food aswell. Can someone please tell me why i was treated differently?
You'd like to believe this was the end of my bad experience but it wasn't.
When we eventually arrived at Orlando and boarded to go Manchester we found that the seats we had paid extra for to be sat together and also for extra leg room hadn't been put on because that was for the flight we missed through no control of our own.
Even though on this flight there were spare seats.
Is this the standard you set at Delta? If so then i won't be using you again.
I would like someone to get in touch to rectify the issues I've experienced.

My wife, infant daughter, and I flew delta to NY to see family. The airport staff were amazing and the flight crews were even better. They knew it was our first time flying with a child and they did all they could to assist us. I will definitely fly with them again.

My flights were booked through Delta, who affliliated with WestJet for two of my connecting flights. The WestJet legs of my trip were stressful and unpleasant due to extreme heat on the plane and terrible customer service. (I reviewed WestJet separately.) Delta was very helpful resolving an issue with a flight delay involving my WestJet flight on my return home. Where I received zero assistance from WestJet, the Delta representative was very helpful. However, I will not book through Delta again if they choose to affiliate with WestJet for bookings.
