Continental Jewelers

Continental Jewelers is our"go to" for fine jewelry and important repairs. They have repaired/refurbished prongs on my wedding set and the "Dream Fit" bands are amazing with slightly larger joints, over the years.

I have a personal story about Chrysa and Continental Jewelers. I purchased my wedding ring (which is beautiful) from Diane at Continental. Diane is so kind and helpful!! She even sent us a wedding card! Right before my wedding, my engagement band broke, but I didn't have enough time to get it in and fixed before my wedding. Soon after my wedding, I brought it in to get fixed and get more gold added. I also wanted to make my wedding ring a bit bigger. I hated to be without both rings, but I knew Continental would make them perfect for me, as they have with my other jewelry they have fixed. I was told approximately two weeks for the repairs. During this time, my step-son suddenly passed away. It was a terrible accident that left us shocked and so sad. While planning his arrangements, I was near Continental and I called to see if my rings were ready. I happened to get Chrysa on the phone when I called. She checked and they weren't ready yet I burst out crying and went into the whole tragic story of what happened to my step-son and how I just wanted my rings for the funeral. Chrysa made sure my rings were finished that day. Not only that, she got in her car on a Friday night and drove my rings up to where I live in Pennsylvania. She stayed and talked to me and hugged me. It was like we were old friends, when, in fact, this was the first time I ever met her. I could not get over her kindness and compassion. She went above and beyond what any store owner would do. I was so grateful!! So very thankful!! Continental is my jeweler for life. Not only do they take perfect care of your jewelry, they take care of their customers hearts!

Three generations of our family have been Continental customers. After using other jewelers what we value from Continental is that they have always been very honest with us. While they stick to their prices, they also have never tried to up sell us over our budget. One a couple of occasions they told us getting a higher quality stone at a higher price would not be a good investment in the piece we were designing. They helped me design a one of a kind ring for my wife for our 25th wedding anniversary that has nothing but rave comments.

DiAne is super to deal with but we have found everyone from Krysta the owner to Katy in the office to be professional, customer focused, open and welcoming.

I searched all over Newark and Wilmington to find a place where I felt comfortable enough to leave my grandmother's heirloom ring to have it sized. I was not going to leave my irreplaceable diamond ring with just anyone! I visited several well known jewelry stores in the area who all tried to sell me a new setting for the diamond… and I left all these places insulted by the thought of then wanting to "modernize" my grandmother's ring! This was NOT the case at Continental Jewelers.

The people at Continental are honest and fair. They did not try to convince me to buy a new setting, but instead commented on how timeless and pretty the setting was! I felt completely comfortable leaving them with one of my most prized possessions knowing my ring would be in good hands. Their quality of craftsmanship and customer service are unbeatable!

Continental is absolutely the best jewelry store! Having had experience at both local and out of state competitors I can say at confidence they have the best selection and nicest staff. This is my third time working with Di Ane and she truly is the best. This time we reset my engagement ring and it was such a fun and stress-free process. Di Ane listened to me and really provided that expert level of support as I picked out my new setting. The store is beautiful and the rest of the staff were all very friendly. My ring was ready in the promised time and I'm thrilled with it. I will continue to do my jewelry business at Continental and in this day and age it's also a great feeling to support local small business!

We had a wonderful and satisfying experience with the team at Continental Jewelers. They worked with us as a same sex couple and helped us design our own unique and special rings for our wedding. We have been going to Continental for years in my family because we do not trust anyone else! My fiance got my engagement ring from a place in NYC because that's where we live and it was too difficult for him to go to DE for it. Well, we learned our lesson because I ended up having 3 small stones come out before I had had it for 1 year 🙁 I took the ring to Di Anne at Continental and the jeweler was able to build up the prongs and I have not had ANY problems since then! We both got our wedding bands with Di Anne and could not be happier! She is so professional and knowledgeable, and what I love is that she is eager to educate customers–I feel like people in this industry would rather keep people in the dark, but Di Anne wants you to make a decision after having ALL the information. We will continue to go back for years to come!

I shop here frequently for Pandora and I also have used them for repairs. The staff are all very friendly and willing to take their time with me while I search for the right piece. There is an excellent selection of reasonably priced estate pieces. They don't really discount on their new stock, but they have a fair no-interest layaway policy that can stretch out your payments a bit and allows me to buy the pieces of my dreams. It's a great small business with friendly faces that remember you and what you like. I like this so much more than the chain stores.

Chrysa was absolutely AMAZING in helping us create the perfect custom engagement ring. She was always in touch and kept me updated during the entire process. The ring was absolutely gorgeous but the reason why I will continue to go back is the personal vibe I received the entire time. Believe me, as a guy, there are other things that you might think you would rather be doing, but I was extremely excited the whole time & Chrysa was just as excited for us & that made it a FUN process. I purchased an engagement ring, 2 wedding bands, and a necklace from Continental Jewelers and was extremely satisfied with Di Ane's service, however I have found the other staff members to be less friendly or accommodating. Di Ane provided me with so much personal attention and helped me in picking out the perfect diamond. She even contacted the designer in California that made the ring that I was looking for and had them ship it to the store. I highly recommend Di Ane to anyone looking to purchase jewelry in a no-pressure environment. The only downside is that they are not willing to negotiate at all on price and despite the fact that I had spent a lot of money in their store, I was still charged to do something as simple as removing a link from my watch. One other thing… they engraved my wife's wedding band upside-down and then instead of admitting they messed up, one of the owners tried to place the blame on my wife by saying that she wears her ring backwards.
