Connected Van Lines

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! MOST OF THE
REVIEWS ARE FAKE.

Pickup was relatively quick, though they were a
FULL day late getting there Sunday night at
730pm (they were originally supposed to be
there Saturday between 4 and 6pm, then
supposedly confirmed for Sunday between 2
and 4pm). The movers were incredibly slow so
the two of us helped load everything and
finished around 1030pm.

The bigger problem is you'll never get your
stuff back. I requested drop off May 19 and I'm still getting the run around. The only benefit is they've taught me that I don't need my stuff to be comfortable since I've gone without for so Iong.

After leaving this ^^ review, Rachel told me she could no longer work with me because of my negative review, per her boss. Not surprisingly, everything Connected Van Lines told me was inaccurate. They supposedly had confirmation that my items were on a truck headed my way on June 17. After speaking with the moving company directly, Connected Van Lines markets themselves as movers but they're brokers, I learned the truck ACTUALLY left 6/24. My items were finally delivered on June 26. I've filed a complaint with the BBB which I'm sure Rachel and her boss will likely ignore. Clearly they didn't uphold our contract as they were so incapable that they couldn't even organize drop off of my items after a month of trying.

Before I signed a contract with Connected Van Lines, they informed me that they typically deliver items 4-7 days after pickup. When pickup day arrived (5/23), the movers from American Home Relocations had us select which day we wanted our items delivered. We selected 5/27. They also charged us an addition $871 for alledgely going over the original cubic feet. When 5/27 came and went, I called Connected Van Lines and spoke to Victoria, and she informed me that the movers should not have told me that my items would be delivered on this day, rather this was the day they start preparing the manifest. I called after a week (6/3) had passed, and the manifest was still not prepared. I was informed it would be prepared at the end of that week. I called again on June 5th, and was informed by Rachel that the riots in Atlanta are preventing my items from leaving the city. We were informed that the company had until June 10th to deliver our items, or pay a late delivery spread fee. When wednesday came, we were informed by Victoria that we would not be receiving our items on Wednesday, but that the truck was leaving that afternoon. When we called on Thursday (6/11) to make sure the truck left, we were informed by Rachel that the truck left on wednesday, and we will be receiving a call from the driver. On friday June 12th, we called dispatch at American Home Relocations and they informed us that our truck did not leave on wednesday and it was sitting in the lot. I called And emailed Connected Van Lines to discuss this mis-information and never received a call back. At 4:19pm, I called Connected Van Lines, and spoke to Adam. He stated that my manifest was still being built, and that he had no other update than that. I asked him about the discount, and he stated that the moving company has 21 days to deliver our items before a $25 fee is applied for every day they are late. We told him that Victoria told me that we would have a discount after June 10th, and he stated that was incorrect information. On wednesday 6/17, we were informed by Heather and Nick at AJ Pro Logistics that our items will be delivered the next day, but that our items were on a truck that could not fit through my complex. They made this determination after looking at pictures of our complex online. We we told that we could rent a uhaul and unload our items ourselves for free, pay $1000 to have them transport our items into a smaller truck and then deliver them to our home, or have our items sent to Chicago and sit in a warehouse. When Nick arrived to deliver our items, the truck was stuffed and poorly packed. We had a storage container with the top missing, and another persons items taped inside the container. So far, we have 2 broken mirrors, a couch with black stains on it, 2 dressers with chipped wood and loose handles, a bed that cannot be put together because a piece is now missing due to the many handlings of my items, a washing machine with a missing leg, and a dryer with a broken knob. They did not fully explain how the shipping delivery dates worked, and became non-responsive and unprofessional after pickup. Rachel and Victoria had unprofessional attitudes when we called and inquired about our shipping status, and talked over us while we were trying to air our concerns. Adam did not return my calls to discuss the delivers attempting to charge us more or a reimbursement. Connected Van Lines contracted the move to American Home Relocation, and American Home Relocation contracted the delivery out to AJ Pro Logistics. When it was all done and said 3 different companies were dealt with to pack and deliver my property. They state that they are here to work for you, but they lie to get your business. They assured me they were working on my behalf and would be available if any issues occurred during this process, but were unresponsive when AJ Pro Logistics asked for more money. This company has terrible communicators and is constantly being "mis-informed" by dispatch.

My experience with this company was the absolute worst experience I've ever had with moving in my entire life. I wanted to cancel my move because the state I was in was in lockdown and the state I was moving to was in lockdown. These people told me that I was overreacting and I needed to calm down.

They sent me companies that flaked on me more than 5x.

One company showed up with a full van that had no space for anything else, and still wanted to be paid!

Oh and Connected Van Lines is a broker, not a moving company.

Don't use them.

Just don't.

I promise you'll regret it.

This time with Connected Van Lines, my move went super-fast and best. They finished in 8 hours! Incredible! They really hustled. Too bad this is the last time I want to move, but if I ever do move again.

They arrived on time, worked fast and even made an additional stop to drop off a dinning set for donation. They took my stress away and I will hire them again if I need to move anything. Amazing company, amazing crew.

The Connected Van Lines helped me move my 1 bedroom from NY to FL and I was unbelievably pleased. They were right on time and literally were running loading my stuff. They did everything so fast and so efficient. I am so impressed with them. They are great. Highly recommended.

Its funny how some companies think that every negative review they get is FAKE! but never seem to complain about the positive of course, seriously I have used your services and they were BAD! instead of taking it out on us maybe look at your company and who you are employing instead. over all from my experience with this company is – damaged items and rude employees. 0 stars

I called this company and Orlando was so pleasant and polite, and really wanted to help me with my move. They are a broker and really do not honor the agreement. They schedule the movers to pick up my furniture and they were on time and that is where my nightmare started with this company. I was told by Victoria
to have a certified check for $1421.00 for the driver and I did have a check for that amount, I had already paid $2089.86 before my household goods were transported to Arizona. The driver told me he needed more money…..I called Connected Van Lines and the nightmare continued with Victoria and Adam. I had previously put a review up regarding the unprofessional customer service and how they continued to increase the cost of their services. Victoria told me if I took down the review they would honor the original contract of $4931.58, so at the time of delivery I would only owe $1421.00.
The driver did not even take all my household goods that were on my inventory list and I have the inventory and pictures of belongings he didn't transport to Arizona. I should have known when he came in a Enterprise rented truck I was in trouble, I had a job waiting for me in Arizona, needed to get out of my house I sold and had not given $2089.86 already would have cancelled CONNECTED VAN LINES. I had to rent a U haul 6×12 at an additional cost to me. Victoria is a gem…she was going to get additional monies taken off because I had to rent a U haul.
IT NEVER HAPPENED…..I PAID more MONEY when my furniture was delivered or they were going to hold it hostage. NEA VANLINES LLC picked up my household goods however SOUTHERN VAN LINES delivered my household goods. I had to even purchase a special box for a stand up large mirror….IT WAS IN PIECES WHEN DELIVERED. My furniture left wrapped and came to be unwrapped, including my mattresses which were in cases. Boxes were torn and broken down. My wine glasses that were given to me by my husband as a gift from Italy for being gone a year during Desert Storm, broken….I can't replace the glasses and I'm almost sure I won't get much for there breakage of my wine glasses and other items, too long to list. I had my belongings delivered to storage until I get my house and the driver of SOUTHERN VAN LINES could not even drive the semi, I was told to get a different storage unit so he could deliver my furniture, he didn't know how to drive a semi…The storage managers had to come down to my unit because he was being irrational to me. I have been threatened by Connected Van Lines, YELLED at by NEA VANLINES LLC and told by the driver of Southern VAN Lines he could sell my housegoods because I had nice stuff…and I have a witness who heard this man say this to me. I have every email with Connected Van Lines, voice mail from Victoria screaming at me and pictures of everything left behind for me to move.
My EXPERIENCE WAS MORE THAT A NIGHTMARE!!!!
BEWARE

The movers were slow and did not work together. It took twice as long and they charged me way more than was estimated. Plus they broke three pieces of furniture! Adam refused to take responsibility and would not refund any money. Do not use them.

I moved with them recently, and I liked the experience. They were polite and approachable, yet very professional with the relocation work they worked really hard to move me to my new place. However, when you have guys like Connected Van Lines, there is no need to worry about anything.

Not sure how many of the 5 star reviews below are legitimate. But i am customer who moved in Feb 2020 from Maryland to Florida and they increased the price by 50%. In the call they quoted $2100 since i have only less items. But on the day of my move they made me to accept for $3000 without which they said will not pick my stuff. Customer service folks will give you incorrect information while signing the contract. Once you sign the contract Customer service will be very rude when you call for any information.

They sub contracted my work to NEA van lines who handled the stuff very well but i ended up having lot of trouble since they have only one truck. When you have to move you can go with NEA van lines rather than paying this Connected Van lines which is a broker company in the middle which will save you lot of money.

They made sure all of our worries were gone before move day. They explained everything to us in a language that we understood. They handled the entire move and didn't break a thing. I am so happy and pleased that we went this easily with them instead of another company. Thank you Connected Van Lines for a great move.

Camron helped me and my wife move from Indiana to Florida. He was very prompt with his responses through the communication we had, and took a lot of the weight off of our shoulders. To make it all better, there wasn鈥檛 any need for negotiation on the fee because it was very reasonable and didn鈥檛 require much work from me and my pregnant wife. We moved from Indiana to Florida and I actually visited camron once I moved down there. Very personable guy and would recommend to anyone looking to move out of their state.

This company did not reveal themselves to be a moving broker. They turned my move over to another company, American Home Relocation. My move was scheduled five weeks in advance. The day before the move, I was contacted and told the movers would be a day late. From that point on, over the course of the weekend I was lied to, had my calls ignored and did not have my calls returned after being told I was get a call back. Finally, on Tuesday, I was flat out told the movers were not coming at all and was asked if I would like to cancel. When I said yes, I was hung up on. This has been the most upsetting experience I have ever had with a company.

I told cody I would leave a review and refer my friends if the move went well so I will give my honest feedback as promised. The movers that showed were very nice and happy to be as accommodating as possible. They loaded everything in pretty good time giving the amount of stuff I have accumulated over 35 year's living in the same location. I did need a large tv packaged and I was actually impressed with the level of skill the Packers had w
wrapping it up with cardboard boxes and building a box for it. Cody let me know since I was going 1200 miles it's can take up to 2 weeks so I prepared for that amount of time. My furniture came in just over a week and delivey was nice. Even though I had two stairs leading to my entry way they waived the fee. I would say it was a good decision as the experience was good and I saved a few hundred dollars.

So I ordered my move of 18 boxes and 1 luggage from NYC to FL. My stuff were picked up on December 2 which was Monday. People on the phone told me that my delivery day would be on Friday, December 6. The person who came to pick my stuff up told me that my things are suppose to get delivered on Thursday, December 5. Long story short it's now Monday, December 9 and all I was able to get is "wait for the call from the driver, you should get contacted soon". I'm going back to NYC on Wednesday and if I wont receive my items by the end of tomorrow, Tuesday, December 10, I will file a complaint with BBB and possible a civil lawsuit because I want to make sure noone else goes through this hell. I hope my stuff are not lost and I could get them before I leave the state. This company knew of my timeframes and that noone would be here in FL to receive my items. So I dont understand why they take their sweet time delivering the item I needed since last Friday as they guaranteed the delivery time (by the end of the week and so December 8). I'm beyond angry and very disappointed in the service.

Do not use this company. I had other companies that warned me about using Connected Van Lines and I unfortunately did not believe them. They will tell you what they think you want to hear, take your deposit and then basically disappear or act disgusted if you require further assistance. My furniture was picked up in a trailer, not a professional moving van. They did not have experience with certain items as promised. The quality assurance adviser Kris became irritated with me when I asked for assistance. The trailer then broke down before delivery and it was literally thrown on a rented Enterprise truck with different drivers and a day late. There was a huge language barrier and there was as much damage during assembly of some furniture as there was of that coming off the Enterprise truck. The response you will hear from Connected is "we will drop the moving company if they do not do a good job", however, that does absolutely no good for the person in the current move, left with damaged goods and little to no consideration or assistance from Connected Van Lines. No one called to advise, give schedule changes and representatives became rude and or unresponsive. I had two dressers delivered and both were damaged. Wheels on chairs were broken or missing. Assembly of some furniture was damaged because they did not use blankets underneath during assembly. I have yet to try out my expensive exercise equipment of open all of the boxes. The bottom line is this is a terrible broker moving company that will take your money (deposit) and then provide little "quality assurance" for the move. I have moved 4 times and this is by far the worst experience I have ever had. Now that I am requesting to file claims I was given an incorrect email address and then CSI – Customer Service Dept. returned my initial request telling me they do not deal with the moving company that Connected used to move my furniture. Final words of advise-Do NOT use this company!!

Really great customer service. I was stressed about my move, but their profesional representative walked me through the process and really put my mind at ease. When I realised I had more to move then I first thought. They requoted me with no problem. I can't say enough. This is a five star operation.

Connected Van Lines are the real deal if you are looking for an interstate mover. I have never had a good experience with movers before, so my expectations were very low. From the start though, my husband and I were fairly impressed. The pre-move steps, tips, and reminders were very thorough and helpful. Our team was amazing- our move was on a very hot day but they did not complain or drag out the clock once. They were really nice guys, very considerate of our things, and the move was actually completed 1hr ahead of schedule. We highly recommend Connected Van Lines!!

Not happy! This company contacted us after doing an on line search for movers! Very aggressive salesperson gave us what we believed to be a fair estimate! Spoke with Quality Assurance several times and even sent pictures of our stuff! Price went up an additional 3000 dollars! Day of move movers showed up 5 hours late! Then they had the audacity to tell us the price was an additional 5000 dollars and they weren鈥檛 sure they could even get the overly large truck which we told them wouldn鈥檛 work up our road! I believe these good reviews are bogus as on other review sites others have had experiences similar to ours!
