They were rarely available to give me appointments after buying it as all practitioners have a filled timetable.
They have many branches and said I would be able to go to another branch for my appointments, this is important because at the time I was moving but stuck with that branch because the manager reassured me.
After payment, no more replies, no more assistance or help with anything.
So I was having to travel and take trains just to make the most out of these non refundable sessions I paid so much for.
It would take hours for me to commute and I would have to go past a Colaz near me every time that I wished I could be going to instead.
Transport after from the branch was so also very inconvenient for the type of treatment I was getting. This is why why I made sure to have that discussion before making payment so that for when I move they would change my branch and transfer my payments across.
However they did not, they would always say they would call me to book an appointment but never did.
I remember hearing that any unused sessions will be reset or removed after a year or so.
So now that I have reached the end of the year spending over 1000 pounds and having many sessions left.
Having to constantly deal with being passed around and hearing sorry there鈥檚 nothing we can do or there鈥檚 no appointments, please call back later.
So the only thing they could do was commit fraud and hold their heads high acting like a legitimate service.
Honestly speaking, I鈥檝e never written a bad review. This felt compulsory so no one else gets trapped. I鈥檓 sure there are branches which are great and have brilliant staff.
Today is the 31st, New Year鈥檚 Eve, I placed an appointment last week with them after a very long period because they said they would call me after the corona restrictions are over but they didn鈥檛 and I was worried about my sessions being lost and hadn鈥檛 had a call in months. I was assured an appointment for the 31st. Today. I鈥檝e now travelled to a closed store with all phone lines being shut.
I understand the tier 4 restrictions are new to businesses but even according to the Colaz website, I should have been contacted by the manager to re-arrange my appointment or been told that it was cancelled. No email, no text, no call. Despite me getting deals on their new services every week. I鈥檝e cancelled plans. I鈥檝e paid extra for each session because of the extra travel. I鈥檝e wasted so much time. What I was promised was a lie. This is fraud 101.
But from my experience they do not have your best interest after taking your money. With everything in mind I will remove this if Colaz resolves the situation.
As of yet, my experience is only getting worse and I advise everyone to start the new year of without Colaz. Thank you.

I had an IPL session for my rosacea on the 19th of August at Colaz in Derby. Long story short I had a horrific experience.
Pam, the lady that was doing my IPL session, literally got so close to my eyebrow that it burned some top part of it. I felt and smelled the burned hair – the shock of it was quite strong. She did not say anything about it, I felt her a bit nervous but then she kept going and finihsed the treatment.
This is unacceptable from someone who calls themselves beauty specialists.
She did return my money back, but still went home with half of my eyebrow. I was so worried that my hair folliculs wouldn't grow back anymore. The area was very red and hurt a bit for a few days. More recently I have noticed that the hair started to grow back but it still looks bad…
What a shame of a beauty salon!
Never in my life would I ever recommend these people!

The customer service is quality and everyone鈥檚 really helpful.
Saran has been really great with my treatment plan and is amazing at dealing with my million questions about the process.
They鈥檝e also made laser hair removal more accessible to people as they not only have really good deals, but they also offer flexible payment options.

The staff are so unhelpful. I've had 15 laser hair removal sessions and close to no difference in my hair growth. They promise they will monitor hair growth and recommend sessions accordingly but have done none of that. I've had 4-5 weeks between every session and no improvement. I've gone to another clinic and within 2 appointments, I now go back after 3 months. On several occasions, they also don't laser properly so I'd end up having spots of hair not being layered.
Secondly their machines keep breaking down. You have to book appointments 7 weeks in advance then 1 week before they ring and say their machine has broken so you cannot come. This does not get fixed for 2 weeks at least! Sometimes they don't even contact you and you find out when you get to the clinic!
So many times they have double booked me too and I find out when I get to the clinic.
Due to the machine failure option above, the previous owner gave me 3 free sessions then they changed owner and suddenly these 3 sessions disappeared.
They are the WORST for customer service. A complete waste of money – I'm not one to complain about a service but they were terrible. Zara was my therapist and she acts very professional when getting your money but is terrible for delivering the service.
When you complain, they ask you to email the paddington Colaz email address and say they will forward it to head office. I never heard back despite complaining 3 times…

I had one remaining laser treatment left, which was confirmed to me when I booked it by the admin Saba. Upon my arrival and having been sat in my underwear awaiting my treatment, she barged into the treatment room whilst I was half naked, with no apologies and accused me of having had all my testaments, when confronted that this was I corrected ahenthen went on to present 鈥榚vidence鈥?Which was a sign in sheet without my signature (the branch claims their process is that customers sign after each treatment, there were a number of treatments she claims I had but non of them had my signature against them, her response was that therapists 鈥榝orgot鈥?. I explained numerous times that I had one left and she had imparted this to me on my last visit, she agreed but said oh well must have been a mistake, you have no treatments so we won鈥檛 be treating you so get dressed (as I sat in my underwear).
I was humiliated, shocked and so angry to be treated like a theif having spent so much money at the salon for so many years, to be treated like that by a ill mannered little girl who lacks any sort of customer service skills, let alone charm is beyond me. I鈥檝e complained to both the police and trading standards at her fraudulent behaviour and swindling me out of a treatment. Be careful when you sign up because they have no systems in place at all and lack any way of serving their customers properly.

Ive had laser done and the lady was amazing really great .the atomphere is relaxing calm and very proffessional.
I defo will do more treatments here. I would recommend it to anyone as they carry out the work accordingly to your need plus they listen and advice at the same time .They also help and support what one needs if your unsure and make you feel at ease.

The staff are friendly and welcoming and always try and keep your sessions with the same specialist for continuity.
Rohini is currently my specialist and she is amazing! I will definitely be coming back to this branch for further treatments.

I was recently invited to the Hydro Facial open day which was brilliant and welcoming, lunch and refreshments were provided – The actual treatment was brilliant and i've ended up buying 12 more sessions.

I had a RF Facial+Micro with LED Light. I found the branch very welcoming and Adrienne the therapist very professional. She took care to understand my skin issues and worked on the specific areas. The facial was explained after my health review and Adrienne explained the treatment step by step. I found the surrounding relaxing and comfortable and will be coming for facials here regularly now. I would highly recommend this clinic to my friends and family for treatments. The prices are affordable and the locality of the branch is convenient with ample parking on the side road of the branch.

Recently I went for the first time for full body waxing with Raj and I was very pleased! Job very thoroughly done! The salon is very clean and hygienic with gorgeous and very different treatment rooms! I normally get spots after waxing but wow this time I got none!
I normally find it hard to find a good.waxinf therapist but I was very impressed my Raj. I think I've found my new regular waxing salon.
I managed to get a very good offer this time too. I'm sure I will be back here for more waxing and for other beauty treatments too, which will hopefully include laser and some nice facials!
