We just rented Villa Castillo, from July 18 to July 26, 2020. We came yesterday and you have no idea how does the house looks, I have never seen such a thing and I put down a YouTube Link where you can see in your own eyes. We have young kids who were attacked by spiders, the Villamar didn鈥檛 want to give us another location nor reimburse us based on the contract we signed. The house looked like it was not occupied in a long time, the fridge smells, the pool is not filtering water, the beds have moist all over, The kitchen is dirty, the floor ………the videos can show you everything.

We left the house today Because it is just impossible to keep our kids there.
Please avoid them as much as possible, they are not professional and they will steal your money

Unfortunately, this company will not take anything into consideration and did not offer any refund or even provide alternatives for a change of date.
We had other plans for summer 2020 and every other company we had a reservation with either refunded us or offer alternate options.
I personally judge a company when something goes unplanned not when something goes as it should…
I'd recommend using more trustworthy company for your vacation.

In the week leading up to our holiday I emailed the Club Villamar team if it would be possible to arrange an early check in, ahead of the 4pm standard, but I was told it was something that had to be arranged on the day. So when we landed in Gironi airport on the Saturday afternoon, I called to ask and was told that the villa would be ready around 2pm. We arrived at the villa slightly before 2pm but were happy to wait outside until the time we had been told, but when it was past the time and we hadn鈥檛 heard anything I called up again to query the delay. I was told the villa was not ready and that I would be contacted once it was. At 15:51 I received the code to access the front door key, which only enabled us to have a 9min early check in. I understand that early check in鈥檚 are not always available, and we wouldn鈥檛 have had a problem with that, but because we had been told differently on the day we would have appreciated a more realistic answer so our first day could have been planned differently.
Prior to flying out, we made a point of checking to see if the villa had a cot and this was listed as an amenity. We had also supplied all our guests ages, with the youngest only being 1 year old. However when we checked in there was no cot and we were told that we would have to pay 鈧?5 for one, which was frustrating as the listing stated there was one. When we questioned the caretaker of the property about this they said that it states on the Clib Villamar website that this has to be requested. Seeing as we had booked the villa through Air Bnb we found it quite unfair that it was presumed we should check an alternative website.
Also whilst checking in we were asked for the 鈧?00 deposit but were told we could only pay it in cash. We asked if we could pay the deposit by bank transfer, which we were told was not possible. We were also told that the deposit would be paid back to us by bank transfer 10 days after check out. There was no details of this on the listing so we hadn鈥檛 accounted for this when exchanging our currency, which meant we had to withdraw the money from an ATM and incur additional charges.
On the Sunday night we used the downstairs bathroom which completely flooded the bottom floor of the villa. We then had to spend time mopping up the flood which was not ideal as we had planned to go out.
On Monday morning we woke up to find we had no electricity and the boiler had to be replaced which meant that we also had no water. With no access to electricity or water we were unable to cook for ourselves. We appreciate that sometimes these things happen but when we have paid a substantial amount to stay in the villa it shouldn鈥檛 be us that looses out. When the boiler was replaced the maintenance men left the broken boiler discarded on the lower outside area.
On the Tuesday night we used the upstairs shower and that same thing happened as previously and half of the top floor was flooded. Seeing as we had already reported an issue with the drainage it became even more of a frustration that we were again spending our holiday mopping the floor.
On Thursday night the majority of our party went out for a meal and whilst out I received several abrupt text messages accusing us of taking the sofa outside. We contacted the remaining 4 of our party, 2 of which are under 3 years old, who confirmed they had been inside all night. I responded to the text messages and explained that a mistake must have been made but we didn鈥檛 even receive an apology for the interruption of our night or for being wrongly accused.
This is completely out of character for me to complain but I鈥檓 sure anyone can appreciate that the combination of things that went against us did impact on our holiday. I also reported each of the issues that had happened at the time they did, and apart from the boiler being replaced nothing else was done or said to us to apologise for the inconvenience.
To top it all off Club Villamar then deducted 鈧?20 from our deposit for broken/missing items. We left the villa spotless, infact cleaner than when we arrived, and the issues they charged us for were nothing that we were at fault for. We were deducted 鈧?0 because the bottom of the salad draw on the fridge was cracked, but when this hasn鈥檛 been taken out all week how would we know this was cracked in the first place when we checked in. Then we were charged another 鈧?0 for a missing shelf in the fridge, but if this wasn鈥檛 there when we checked in how would we know this was missing? I asked the villa to provide evidence that these were there when we checked in but nothing was provided.
The combination of the poor communication and outright rudeness spoilt what would have been a great holiday.

1) The villa is detailed to be suitable for 12 people, however only 4 sunbeds are supplied and only 6 dining room chairs, this is apparently the owners wishes. We had to use garden chairs as dining chairs and 1 of them snapped whilst being sat in, lucky person was not badly injured, we reported this issue and a replacement chair was bought the following day
2) we had a major problem with ants every night in one of the bedrooms.
3) Curtain rails were hanging off walls, making it difficult to close curtains
4) A shutter collapsed in of the bedrooms when trying to close it.
5) The patio doors from the lounge are extremely difficult to open, need to be strong to open it
6) only seating in the lounge for 4 people, totally inadequate, pictures show 3 sofa's when there are only 2
7)Plug missing from the kitchen sink, makes it difficult to wash up !
8) On arrival the pool floor was dirty, we reported it and was informed it was due to rain prior to our arrival, we disagreed, maintenance team arrived on the monday and fixed the broken filter and cleaned it.
The villa is advertised as spanish & Functional but it does require serious modernisation to become a lovely holiday worthy of renting

cleaning, when we go home from villa, no one came to accompany us and check the house, after 5 days ppl said we charge you for
cleaning!!!
did not want to return the deposit, only our lawyer was able to return them. They send fake photos with house.
You can not make noise. A fine of 140 euros first. Second 3000 =)

My only criticism is the add on charges for cleaning, bedding and towels. Towels and bedding also not changed at all during a 14 night stay.
The Villa we stayed in was clean and well equipped with fabulous pool. Have a peek at Villa Rolf if you fancy a relaxed time away.

Very large portfolio of houses for rent and the information provided in their house is very accurate. Properties well maintained and immaculate clean at the moment of getting in.
Attention during 'check in' was perfect, and also immediate response in case of any issue or inconvenience.

We had good communication from Club Villamar from start to end.
Loved the villa we had in Loret Del Mar, it was clean and spacious. We have enjoyed our stay. The owner is very friendly and helpful.
A great visit – would use them again!

When we arrived at our villa in Callafel, it was in no means ready for our arrival despite us having paid for it from the Saturday (we arrived Tuesday). The pool was dirty, we had to wash all the glassware before we could use it because it was filthy and the sun lounger cushions were absolutely disgusting, dirty and covered in cat hair. When we went to the local office to check in, I showed the assistant the photos I had taken and he shrugged his shoulders and said "whatever"!!! Never again would I use this lot. I am actually amazed that they are in business at all. Disgusting attitudes and even worse cleanliness in the villa.
