Ciao Andiamo helped my husband and I plan the most amazing trip to Italy, we couldn't be happier with our experience! Our trip to Rome, Amalfi and Florence was absolutely flawless. We were provided with upgraded rooms at every hotel and really loved that everything was planned for us. Arranging all of the car services, private tour guides and our boat ride to Capri was so perfect. We highly recommend Ciao Andiamo!

Ciao Andiamo planned an amazing family vacation for 3 generations of my family, ranging in age from 12 to 72. The detailed planning and execution for the 9 of us went flawlessly, especially the coordination among all the personnel involved. The Rome airport VIP was a great prelude to an outstanding trip. The guides were all amazing and went out of their way to make sure the grandchildren were involved and stayed interested. The scheduling of all events was impressive, including early morning tours that avoided crowds and the midday heat. The First Roma Hotel in Rome was an outstanding boutique hotel that I would highly recommend. The restaurants selected for us were outstanding, providing great choices of food for both adults and children. I would unequivocally recommend Ciao Andiamo for anyone planning a trip to Italy.

From the planning stages with Katie to the final pick up with Luca in Milan, Ciao Andiamo made our trip to Venice, Verona, Lake Como and Milan not only enjoyable but had those extra touches that have created memories for a lifetime. The trip went without a hitch, and even after our trip was over and we realized we had left something in one of the hotels, Katie went above and beyond to try to assist us in getting it back, as well as reimbursement for some hotel charges that were mistakenly put on our bill. My girlfriend and I would definitely use Ciao Andiamo if we are ever to go back, and we have already referred our friends to not hesitate in using their services. Grazie mille Ciao Andiamo!!

There are a ton of wedding and event planners in Italy who will gladly take your money and do just the bare minimum. CiaoAndiamo is NOT that place. Specifically, Cristiana (its founder and owner) cares about each and every one of CA's clients and thus treats their events as if they were her own.
One of CA's main assets is relationships. Cris is an EXPERT at building relationships–with vendors, hotels, restaurants, the guy selling hats at Campo Dei Fiori. If there's a deal to be had, she will make it for you. She got us upgraded suites at every hotel we stayed at. She curated an incredible day on our honeymoon, from start (a wine tasting) to finish (a beautiful lunch in the hidden town of San Pantaleo). Because of her relationships, we were treated like royalty and/or family everywhere we went.
But beyond that, it's so important to work with someone who you can trust. I trusted CA because, like I said, I knew they wanted my wedding and honeymoon to be as perfect as their own. That sort of commitment and devotion is simply hard to find these days.
If you want a team that will go the extra mile for you (sometimes, literally run an extra mile!), look no further. Ciao Andiamo is a sure bet!

Thank you Ciao Andiamo for planning the most PERFECT honeymoon for my husband and I! From the very beginning stages of the planning process, they listened intently to what my husband and I were looking for and were respectful of our budget. Everything – from the transportation, hotels, restaurants, tours, winery – was first class. All of the people we met were SO nice, friendly, helpful, and helped make our trip so special. When our boat tour was cancelled due to weather one day, the Italy team worked hard to make sure we were rescheduled for a different day and arranged transportation to and from the tour. We loved our trip so much that we are already talking about using Ciao Andiamo again for our next Italian vacation, and cannot stop raving about them to our friends and family. Thank you so much Ciao Andiamo for making our honeymoon dreams come true!!!

My husband and I used Ciao Andiamo to plan our first Trip to Italy, for our 20th wedding anniversary, it is difficult to find the worlds to describe how perfect and special the trip was! From the first conversation with Cecile during the planning, to the final driver that delivered us to the airport for departure, all were very caring, professional, and went out of their way to make our trip special. All accommodations and excursions were first class, and our daily contact throughout the trip was so helpful. I highly recommend Ciao Andiamo and will definitely plan on using them again. Thank you for making our 29th anniversary trip so special!

I spoke of Cecile 100 plus times on this trip on how impressive every single step was. Thank you so much for all you did. Our tour guides and drivers couldn鈥檛 have been more accommodating, warm, and just truly excited about being with us. All the hotels were amazing and impressive. Irene, Antonia, Suzanne, Marco our driver, Francesca from winery, giacomo who picked us up in Venice, Laura our guide in Venice. All was spectacular. Even Cris who was our "point-man" in Italy texted me regularly checking in with us. The winery selection was so cool. We met the owner. We were the only ones there! The manager there wouldn鈥檛 take a tip! Was truly happy we were there. We ended up buying a bunch of wine and olive oil (it鈥檚 getting shipped to the states this week). We will be forever grateful for how awesome this trip was. We can鈥檛 wait to go back!! Thanks to you!

Thanks to Ciao Andiamo my family and I had a great Italy for first timers experience. We visited Rome, Florence and Venice. Ciao supplied us with great tour guides and restaurant recommendations to ensure that everything we did was first class. We started in Rome, staying at a hotel located right next to the Pantheon. The energy there was very exciting, and the central location made everything very accessible. We took an ancient Rome tour & Vatican City tour with Caitlin, who simply was the best. Her knowledge and wonderful attitude only added to the beautiful sightseeing. We also took a culinary walking tour there as well, Antonia really made us feel at home as we explored Rome bite by bite. Our next stop was Florence where we saw Michelangelo鈥檚 David and other Florentine treasures. Our tour guide Katia very friendly and we were able to learn a lot with her. While we were in Florence we also took a private cooking class, this experience was one that we鈥檒l always remember. We also took a day trip to Pisa by car and had a local wine tasting. The driver was so professional, and the wine tasting was truly amazing. We finished our trip with two nights in Venice. The water taxi drivers hired by Ciao Andiamo were friendly and courteous. We took a tour of Venice by water taxi followed the next day with a trip to Burano to see lace ateliers, truly breathtaking. All in all, if you were planning to visit Italy and wanted to ensure an experience you鈥檒l love from the start to end, then I highly recommend Ciao Andiamo.

The accommodations and drivers were top notch. It was apparent from the very beginning that we would not have to lift a finger to do anything. And anytime we had a question, the response time was very fast by email/text. First Class service!

My mother and I went on the "Taste of Umbria" tour and Ciao Andiamo made it a wonderful experience from beginning to end. 5-stars is not a high enough rating. I would give it 10 out of 10-stars for sure! Cecile, in the office, was very helpful & available in answering questions and making travel arrangements for us.
I can't say enough good things about our wonderful tour guide, Max Brunelli. Max made us feel welcome and at home in Italy right from the start. His warmth, his vast knowledge of Umbria & Italy, plus his sense of humor made for an awesome week! You can tell that Max has a passion for his county and loves what he does and it really comes across in his tour. Traveling with Max as your guide, is like traveling with an old friend.
Our six days in Umbria were just perfect. From the charming hotel, Palazzo Bontadosi, at our "home base" of Montefalco, to all our guided activities, the beautiful locations and landscape, the well-planned itinerary, I couldn't have asked for a better trip. Each culinary activity was better than the next- wine tasting lunch, gelato making, pizza making, cooking with Chef Velia in her home, touring a vineyard & goat farm & learning how goat cheeses are made. Plus, Max went above & beyond, making extra stops along the way to beautiful cathedrals, Lake Trasimeno at sunset, and a cashmere factory. And what is Italy without food and wine? Each meal we had, whether we prepared it or dined at a restaurant was absolutely wonderful, as was the Italian wine.
Traveling with Ciao Andiamo was a breeze. No planning necessary. I could never have arranged on my own all the wonderful activities that we did and the locations we went to. If you want an out of the ordinary Italian experience, I highly recommend traveling with Ciao Andiamo. I can't wait to explore another area of Italy with Max and Ciao Andiamo!

My husband and I had often talked about going to Europe, but putting together an itinerary always seemed overwhelming. Ciao Andiamo helped make our dreams of travel a reality. From our first interaction with the team at Ciao Andiamo it was clear they intended to create a perfect travel experience for us. We spoke several times, then exchanged details using email. Each interaction helped refine the possibilities. We initially suggested it would be nice to have some views of the mountains, a city experience and some time by the sea. Beyond that, we did not have any particular set of 鈥渕ust see鈥?sites. We did worry about days being overly scripted and preferred to avoid group tours. Ciao Andiamo鈥檚 team integrated all of our discussions into a suggested itinerary including Milan, Piedmont and Portofino. They layered each location with a mixture of open days and tours lead by local guides. It was perfectly tailored to our goals and we were grateful to have Ciao Andiamo arranging the many details to bring it all to life. Our trip was defined by quality, service, flawless execution of every logistical detail, and the complete knowledge that the staff at Ciao Andiamo were always available to help should the need arise. Their professionalism and talent kept everything on schedule perfectly. They selected lovely hotels, provided expert guides and handled all the logistical details. The document they provided prior to our trip was available on our mobile devices and was a lovely reference of local options as well as a detailed itinerary. Thank you to the team at Ciao Andiamo for arranging such an extraordinary trip. You listened to us, you understood what we were looking for, and you delivered a package that was tailored to our tastes perfectly.

Our trip to the Amalfi coast, Capri and Ischia is one that my family and I will always remember. We couldn't have done it without Ciao Andiamo! Cecile and Cristiana thought through every detail and were accessible throughout our vacation. We began in the beautiful Praiano at the Hotel Onda Verde. The views were breathtaking! One of our favorite days was our private cooking class on the top of a mountain overlooking the beautiful water. One of many dinners that was truly out of a story book, was at Zass Restaurant in Il San Pietro Hotel. I am so happy Cecile recommended this to us! Our private boat ride to Capri was one of the best days of my life! We all had such an amazing time exploring the grotto's and swimming and viewing the beautiful sights. Capri was magical and very relaxing. Visiting Ischia we felt like we went back in time. It is such a family friendly beautiful island. A dinner that cannot be missed is Il Focolare! We felt like part of their big Italian family! Words cannot truly express how wonderful our family vacation was and we couldn't have done it without Ciao Andiamo. Also, I cannot forget to mention that everyone that we were in contact with through Ciao Andiamo were so professional. From all of our drivers, to the captain and first mate on our boat, our chef that taught us how to cook, tour guides and everyone in-between. We felt like we were in good hands always! If you want to feel like a celebrity I recommend booking your dream vacation with Ciao Andiamo! Thank you!!

I decided to celebrate my 40th birthday with my mother in Italy on a tour of the Amalfi Coast and Puglia with Ciao Andiamo. Max, our tour host, and his team really helped orchestrate a memorable trip for us. I can honestly say that I would never have known, let alone visited, The Sassi of Mater or the trulli of Alberobello without Ciao Andiamo. He always arranged free time for us to wander in quaint seaside towns and then plenty of time to enjoy feasts overlooking breath-taking scenery with the backdrop of a beautiful sunset. I now have hundreds of pictures that are the envy of tourists who have only been to Rome or Florence. I agree with Max that Italy can surprise you at every turn but it's difficult to manage as a foreigner. Max and his crew have many years of experience customizing tours for visitors from English-speaking countries. I'm thinking of a trip to Bologna – Modena – Parma – Florence per Max's suggestion because my boyfriend loves Ducati, Ferrari, and parma ham. I highly recommend the services of Ciao Andiamo and plan to return to Italy with their guidance in the future.

We felt like we were in an Italian movie! On our recent trip to Puglia and the Amalfi Coast we visited the most dramatic ancient sites guided by informed and entertaining guides, stayed at hotels overlooking the sea, and were transported to quaint and beautiful towns with time to wander, shop, or sample the local gelato. The day boating around the Amalfi Coast, kissing as we passed through the arches of Capri, was a dream come true. Our guide Max was knowledgeable, fun, and made our Italian experience his top priority. The meals can only be described as magical feasts, in scenic spots on the water. We let Max handle the ordering, and seemingly endless platters of seafood, pasta, and anything we desired emerged from the kitchen along with MANY bottles of wine. Our group was the envy of other travelers, even Italians! We were the oldest couple on the trip, but bonded with our fellow travelers immediately and laughed almost all the time that we weren't eating. I've been back less than a day and have recommended this trip and Ciao Andiamo to my friends and family.

Max and his team provide excellent customer service during the reservation process and the experience on our trip was meaningful, exciting and exceeded expectations for sure. The memories we have because of Ciao Andiamo are priceless. Max literally knows everyone in Italy! Because of his strong relationships every experience was incomparable if we had gone to Italy on our own. Most of the trip I was thinking "we never would have seen this if we had come here on our own!" And every day was better than the day before.
Worth. Every. Penny. We decided to tour with Max for our honeymoon. At first I was worried about spending my honeymoon with 6 strangers, but we made new friends! Cheers to Max and Ciao Andiamo ?

Every hotel and experience Ciao Andiamo arranged for us was extraordinary. Our guides were superb, friendly and informative; they took us places we would not have found on our own and added depth to our understanding. We have taken several Ciao-enriched trips, and are big fans. The cheese and wine tastings were terrific.

We had a wonderful time in Umbria!
Whenever we think of the sights, the smells, the sounds, the tastes, & the people you introduced us to…we smile & miss it ALL!
Like others before us, we now understand the value of Max Brunelli!
The trip was very well organized from beginning to end, never faulted.
We appreciated the NYC office, which answered all preliminary questions, without hesitation. Then Max!…who, having been raised in the area, knows it all. The people he introduced us to could not have been warmer, the vineyard owners, the cheese makers, the chefs, the tour guides, all Max "finds" that help contribute to a fantastic vacation.
Many many Thanks to All at Ciao Andiamo!!

Please believe all the 5 star reviews because this company is worthy of your business and trust! This is the second time that I have had the pleasure of working with Ciao Andiamo, but, the first time was with a group of about 15 people and this time I was flying solo. They still took care of me as if I was the most important person in the world! Don't be afraid to ask for the vacation of your dreams! I've always wanted to take a cooking class and a walking tour of a city so that I could stop and take images without holding up a group of people who weren't interested in what I wanted to capture. Ciao Andiamo made both dreams come true. My cooking class was so much fun from going to the street market to purchase the fresh ingredients to learning how to cut properly without cutting my finger!! We cooked and ate appetizers and drank wine, then ate our creation. I learned how to make pasta. The walking tour was 3 hours of pure pleasure! My guide spoke impeccable english and was very patient with me when I wanted to stop and shoot. I highly recommend that you allow Cristiana and Jonathan to take your dreams and make them reality!

Ciao Andiamo worked with us to plan a trip of a lifetime to Italy. From beginning to end Jon and company were a pleasure to work with. After an initial conversation they sent us the first draft of an itinerary, including hotel options. Reading that first draft showed us that Jon had listened to our interests and understood who we were and what would work for us. Throughout the planning process our questions and ideas were responded to quickly and the itinerary continued to evolve based on our thoughts and feedback. They provided as much help as we wanted and didn't try to take over everything. The trip itself was even more fun than the planning process, and achieved a perfect balance of guided tours and time on our own . One person in our group has limited mobility and Jon made sure that all hotels, in addition to having elevators, were in great locations with easy access to great wanderings, attractions, restaurants and more. Our tours were led by friendly guides who knew their subjects, were great communicators and loved sharing their knowledge. Their guidance allowed us to experience local markets, major attractions like the Colosseum and the Uffizi and neighborhood streets in ways that would have been impossible either on our own or as part of a larger group. We would plan another trip with Ciao Andiamo without hesitation. My only regret is that they only focus on Italy – but they do that exceedingly well!

You're going to have to add more stars to the rating program because Ciao Andiamo and Max Brunelli deserve way more than 5 stars!
My husband and I recently experienced the Taste of Umbria Adventure. I had hesitations in booking at first because my husband and I aren't "group" people per say. However, after speaking with Cecile (NYC office) not only did my hesitations disappear, I was beyond excited for this adventure. Leading up to the trip, Cecile did an amazing job of answering all of my questions and giving me all of the information that I will need for the trip.
It's hard to put into words the actual tour experience itself. The flawless Umbria landscape, food, wine, and way of life combined with, and maybe even overshadowed by, the expertise and humor of Max Brunelli made this trip unforgettable. This wasn't a tour, it was an experience with a friend. Ok, now that I've gushed over our love for Max and the Umbria region, let's get real. If you like food, wine, history and experiencing vacation off the beaten path, this is for you. We felt like we were living like true Italians, not just any Italians but locals to the Umbria region (which are the best, right?) We learned to make cheese, pizza, bread; had a full cooking class, tasted some of the best wines we've ever experienced all while relaxing and taking in the most beautiful landscape. My husband and I can't say enough about Max. It would be almost impossible to truly experience this region without a guide, we just happen to have the best that there is. Maybe our senses of humor just meshed right away but we really felt like we were visiting a friend that was showing us their favorite places.
To summarize, 5 stars aren't enough. Check our Max's facebook or Instagram to see what a vacation with him will be like, I'm willing to bet you'll book it right away. Not only did we have the best vacation of our lives but we gained a friend and are already planning our next trip back with Max…maybe a one way ticket this time 🙂

My family and I have been on two trips with Ciao Andiamo and hope to return for a third. The team takes care of every single detail even dietary needs. Our son was diagnosed with celiac disease and we weren't sure if he could go to Italy due to his diet restriction. Max Brunelli co-owner of Ciao Andiamo told me that our son would "eat like a king" and he did. Every hotel had gluten free options and my son ate gluten free pasta almost every night.
Max Brunelli makes the journey through Italy fun and eventful. His desire is for his guests to experience Italy like a local: he has a true heart for sharing Italy. If you are thinking about an Italy trip than I highly recommend you book with Ciao Andiamo.

Rome to Positano to Montefalco to Rome
I cannot say enough about out tour with Ciao Andiamo! No detail was left out. From the beautiful hotel in Positano, to the tour of Capri and Pompeii to start our tour. Next we toured Rome and had the most wonderful hotel overlooking the Pantheon (don't skip the gelato). Then on to Montefalco and beautiful Umbria and Max. Max made us feel like family and we tasted the most amazing wines at Cordella, Dionogi and others great wineries.
You WILL NOT be disappointed when you book your Italy tour with Ciao! Jonathon and Max really know how to treat their clients and give them all they desire from Italy. We are already planning our return trip with Ciao Andiamo next spring!
See you then Max!

Max was great. He's very warm and easy to get along with. He makes you feel like you are on a trip with family or an old friend. The tour is small and personal and informative. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to explore Italy.
