So a bit worried when my wife ordered 5 from them. Only to find the order dispatched the next day, received the day after all in perfect condition. I have no complaints at all.
Going back now to order something else.

No response to all four of my emails over 3 weeks. No response to the faulty product I sent back for an exchange or refund.
Shocking. Would NEVER deal with again.

Never recieved my goods, recieved confirmation email to say my order had been processed. Have checked the process of my product and it never changed, went to check today and the website has closed down. Friend recommended companies house.com which lets you check the company and when I checked, it says the company has go into liquidation. Bloody brilliant!! Not! Don't know what can be done, but stay clear of this company!!!

ORDERED BLU RAY 2 WEEKS BEFORE XMAS INFORMED ME IT WAS OUT OF STOCK SO EMAILED THEM TO CANCEL ORDER AND THEN PURCHASED FROM HMV. WELL FEBUARY I RECEIVE THE BLU RAY I CANCELLED , CHECKED BANK ACCOUNT AND THEY HAD TAKEN MONEY !!!!!!. SO SENT THE BLU RAY BACK TO THEM ASKING FOR REFUND , WELL WHAT A SURPRISE NEARLY 3 WEEKS LATER NO REFUND , STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY . BUT IM TELLING YOU CHOICES UK I WILL GET MY MONEY BACK

I agree with many of the statements here … goods were ordered, money taken but nothing dispatched. Lack of customer service and no response to emails.

Web site a complete mess as most of the products don't actually seem to be in stock.

I noticed today that the website is down so doesn't look like they are taking any new orders or likely to refund anyone for goods not delivered.

I too will revert back to Amazon

Placed an order with this company at the beginning of February they took the money out of my account on the 3rd February.

Sent them an e-mail on the 13th February which they responded to by saying that 'The item was despatched on the 6/02/12, please allow 10-14 working days. So should be with you by the 24/02/12'

Still haven't received item and can't get through on phone and not resonding to my e-mails.

I think a month is far too long after payment to wait for an item – wish i used good old Amazon.

Never deal with this Company! Ordered 15 DVD's on 17th Feb. Checked online a week later only to find "order received" status, still the same 2 days later. I telephoned & was told that the order had been despatched 2 days earlier & would be with me shortly. Today (28th) I received an "order despatched" email showing that it was in fact despatched on the 27th & the tracking confirms this. Clearly the staff are taught to lie, payment was also taken on the day of order. Next time I will stick with Amazon!

My experiance of this company is exactly the same as those that have reported an abysmal service. They only fulfilled part of the order but grabbed full payment. Difficulty getting a refund.

The good reviews must be from people who just got lucky or the company representatives.

Placed an order on the 9th February, all items stated in stock, checked the order the following day, to notice 2 items where actually out of stock, so decided to cancel the entire order. Cancelled on the 10th February. Recieved my bank statement only to find they had taken payment for the 2 instock items, when their policy states they do not take payment until good have been despatched…what a load of crap that is!

E-mailed on several occasions with no response whatsoever. Telephoned this morning to be informed it was a very strange situation as they dont normally take payment until items have been despatched. The lady i spoke to said she would look into the matter.

Telephone call recieved back, stating they have passed it up to the payments team, who will look into it, to double check payment was taken and then refund accordingly. (Even though the CS advisor could see clearly it had been taken i still have to wait a further x amount of days).

So my advice to all who order and cancel, double check your bank statements because this was the 9th february and we are now the 21st february, and if it wasnt for me ringing up they would never of refunded the money! Well thats if they actually do….

Ordered a copy of Family Tree Maker 2012, but web site appeared to show picture of 2011 box. Phoned to confirm the actual version they were offering but they were either unwilling or unable to check for me – had a look on his system and told me he could only see much earlier versions available. However they assured me that I would receive the 2012 item as described if that was what they were offering on their site, and If it was not so I could return it for a refund. Placed the order on Thursday and received the 2012 version on Saturday. Their price was far cheaper than anywhere else on the web. Great delivery and price – pity about the call centre.

Ordered item, received confimation then order dissapeared only to appear a couple days later as cancelled with no explanation and no response from customer services via email.

i wont be ordering from them again.

I too read the bad reviews after ordering a box set of DVD's, so i panicked after looking at my account and seeing no orders showing up, but was slightly relieved when the next day it appeared as 'packing' and then the day after that 'dispatched' and was pleasantly suprised and very impressed when it turned up today, just three working day's after ordering, and at a very good price as well. Well done!

Ordered a christmas present for someone from them on the 8th December, and it has never arrived. Any attempts to communicate with them has not had any response back. I've had better dealings with dodgy scammers claiming to be selling things on eBay than I have with Choicesuk.

There seems to be no reviews or evidence from real customers of the post 2007 incarnation of Choicesuk from when they went in to Administration. At the time of writing they still have information on their site about ordering before christmas. Any legitimate company would of removed that information a couple of weeks ago now.

If you buy anything from choicesuk.com such as a DVDs, Blu-ray, games & music then don't expect the item to ever arrive, or that you will get any response from them as to why it hasn't arrived.

Buying a headset for my boyfriend for Christmas for 拢24.99.

Order went through okay, and i got a confirmation e-mail.
Then a few days later AFTER taking my money, the customer service lady named "Fran" told me there may be a problem with the order, and kept asking for my card details and house address, also my previous address.
I told her, before reading the comments on this website. Completely regret it.
They've taken the money for the headset and are refusing too send me the headset.
Only 24.99, but to me that is a lot of money..

I placed an order for a Sega Arcade Sonic Nano on 7th December. The item was to be a Christmas present. I received an email confirming the order for the item which was in stock and would be sent on the 8th December. As nothing had happened by today, 20th December, I phoned the company. I was told that my order had been cancelled as there were none in stock, and that 'someone should have let me know'! They hadn't, and by now the item is out of stock everywhere else and I can't get one

Four days after ordering a DVD box set from Choicesuk.com I received an e-mail advising there was a problem and should contact them. After a discussion with what can only be described as a snooty advisor they admitted fault and advised that they had processed the card payment with the incorrect post code and the payment had decline. I advised the person I was speaking with (in a polite, professional manner) that whilst I understood it was not his fault personally I was somewhat annoyed that due to the incompetence of individual within the organisation I would now probably not be receiving this gift in time for Christmas. His response being "It's a good job you're not suggesting that or . . . " (He decided not to complete his sentence.) Had he actually of listened to what I had said (albeit a bit advanced for him as several words contained more than one syllable) he could have avoided the complaint I made about him and this damaging review for the company. In summary, if you want to have your time wasted, deal with ill-mannered and unprofessional staff and be massively inconvenienced due to the shortfalls of an (at best) second rate organisation then Choicesuk.com is the company for you! Happy shopping! On a personal note to the pathetic attempt at an advisor who I had the displeasure of speaking with, whilst I feel you鈥檝e really excelled yourself in attaining your current position of a call-centre advisor I shall keep my fingers crossed that perhaps one day your dreams may be answered and the call from McDonalds may finally come! Only then will you reach your full potential.

Similar experience to some other reviews. Placed an order with an item in stock. Received my order confirmation e-mail and the item was suddenly awaiting stock and 10 e-mails to customer service later I still have no idea what is happening with my order.

Avoid like the plague

I ordered a PS3 game which was stated as 'new'. After all, you wouldn't expect anything else unless it is clearly stated as 'pre-owned'.

Upon receipt, I opened the shrinkwrap – which actually felt different to the usual shrinkwrap PlayStation games (and DVDs for that matter) are wrapped in. Once the wrap was off, I looked at the case and it had a number of marks on it! Brand new games do now have used cases supplied with them!

But, upon opening the case, the instruction manual was actually missing! I couldn't believe it, but clearly my initial suspicions of the item being previous used had actually come true.

Inevitably, I e-mailed the company – twice – but they have failed to respond. I advised them this was illegal trading and wanted to know how they were going to resolve the issue, but they have instead attempted to avoid it.

Please be aware that this is a cowboy company and should not be trading for legal reasons. If you order a new item, you expect to receive it as such – not a used item repackaged!

I placed an order in early July to be shipped to Malta. My UK credit card is billed to Canada (Yes-I lead a complicated existence). Choices wrote to me in Canada to verify – could have emailed – but I live in Malta in the summer. Never got the letter. Finally called and they promised to sort it out. It is now the end of August and still no order because now they are saying that they don't accept Amex. I did not use Amex and in early August one of their reps had emailed to say the order was delayed due to lack of inventory but that it would be sent soon.
Utterly useless as they now say that they don't accept Amex. I have spent money on long distance calls to this company and needless to say will never use them again.

I was quite worried after reading the reviews on the company, but had already ordered the item from them. I was really happy with the service that i received as i thought i wouldnt not get it before xmas but it arrived in plenty of time. Great item at a great price, thankyou

I preordered the latest Twilight film on DVD 2 days before the release date, expecting delivery sometime during the week (most retailers deliver preorders on release day!), however 2 weeks later and the order still hasnt been despatched!!

After a 20 minuite pointless conversation on the phone, I was told the DVD had been despatched today (still showing "in picking" online) and they couldnt cancel the order as they "cant contact the warehouse".

Avoid at all costs – especially if you want to actually receive your order at some point!

I ordered a couple of items from this website in November. One item was not in stock. They have never informed me about that, charged me for an item that they said it was shipped but nothing ever arrived. Called 4 times their 0845 premium number to enquire about my order and was told that a replacement item was sent that never arrived either. In the end instead of refunding my card they said they sent a cheque in the post that never arrived either. What a waste a time! I would keep away from these people.
