Horrible! Out of stock items are never indicated when placing an order. Order is "shipped" without being able to substitute with something else. All "out of stock" items are automatically removed from customer auto-ship order page so customer must hunt their website for the desired products for the next order instead of simply being able to reorder. We need a better company to order pet products.

I emailed customer service about information I needed to place my order. They responded, but did not provide what I needed. Then I called and a customer service rep said she would have a supervisor get back to me. That was two days ago. They are polite, but if you need something out of the ordinary, totally unresponsive. Will not do business with them in the future.

I have been ordering from Chewy.com for several years now. The service is great, orders are always received on time, always complete, never missing items. The one time that I had to ask to return a product was when my senior dog passed away before opening her food. Chewy gave me a complete refund and suggested I donate the food to a local rescue instead of actually returning. Chewy cares about you as a customer and your pets!

VERY DISTURBING PROBLEM. I NOW HAVE A HEARING PROBLEM DUE TO THE FACT THAT CHEWY SENT OUT A PRODUCT THAT I DID NOT ASK FOR. I ORDERED A PRODUCT CALLED THE "PET CORRECTOR" WHICH IS USED TO SILENCE THE BARK OF DOGS….IT MAKES A "SHUSH" SOUND SIMILAR TO WHAT A PERSON MAKES WHEN TELLING SOMEONE TO BE QUIET. INSTEAD, THEY SENT ME SOMETHING CALLED A "DOG HORN". THIS WAS NOT WHAT I ORDERED AND I DESCRIBED WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE IN A RED THIN CANISTER TO THE PERSON AT CHEWY WHO SAID SHE HAD THIS PRODUCT. WHEN MY SMALL DOGS STARTED BARKING, I OPENED THE BOX AND PUSHED THE BUTTON AND WAS COMPLETELY SHOCKED OF WHAT HAD HAPPENED IN A MOMENT THAT IT WAS USED! "MY HEARING IN MY RIGHT RIGHT WAS IMMEDIATELY AFFECTED BY THE EXTREMELY LOUD NOISE THAT THIS DOG HORN PRODUCED. I FELT THE EFFECT IMMEDIATELY AND WAS AND AM VERY UPSET ABOUT THIS. I CONTACTED CHEWY TWICE ABOUT THIS AND THEY TELL ME THAT I ORDERED THE DOG HORN ONLINE! THIS IS TOLD TO ME BECAUSE THEY WANT TO PROTECT THEMSELVES. I NEVER EVEN KNEW OF A PRODUCT CALLED DOG HORN, SO HOW COULD I ORDER SUCH A THING. MY ORDER WAS SPEAKING TO A WOMAN ON THE PHONE WHICH IS HOW I ORDER ANYTHING FROM CHEWY…. SHE SENT OUT THE WRONG PRODUCT AND I CALLED THEM FOR A RETURN POSSIBILITY AND ASKED THEM TO SEND OUT THE CORRECT PRODUCT.
I CALLED THE DOG HORN PEOPLE WHO SAID THAT THEIR PRODUCT IS USUALLY NOT USED FOR SMALLER DOGS…IT EVEN HAS TWO FACES OF GERMAN SHEPARDS ON THEIR CAN.
THE PROBLEM EXISTS THAT CHEWY IS DENYING EVERYTHING AND IS NOT WILLING TO HELP OUT WITH A DOCTOR'S APPOINTMENT THAT WILL INVOLVE A HEARING TEST!…THEY ARE NEGLIGENT IN THIS MATTER AND DO NOT WANT TO ASSUME RESPONSIBILITY FOR THIS MATTER.

TheFarmersDog (.com) has had the most healthy fresh food for my picky eater and they sent a beautiful condolence note

I ordered medicines for my dog on Wednesday, delivery was promised for Saturday. It's Monday, and still no medicine. FedEx texted me that the shipment was out for delivery yesterday. Chewy's website says it is out for delivery today (Monday), Fedex told me that it is at their warehouse.
I would never purchase pet medicines from Chewy. They lie about delivery, and they don't return phone calls. BAD EXPERIENCE. Sherry at Hollywood office (if that is her real name) is an unhelpful supervisor.

I鈥檓 done with Chewy. I鈥檝e attempted to use them off and on for about a year, and every single order has had an issue. They advertise fast shipping, but that鈥檚 never been the case for me. I have placed my orders with plenty of time allowed before my animals run out of food, yet inevitably, the order shows up late and we run out. They never notify you that there was an issue with your order either. You have to get in contact with them just to receive a generic response.

Right now I鈥檓 waiting for an order I placed on a Sunday. Now it鈥檚 Thursday, and it just shipped last night. The ETA is Saturday. The order contained cat food and litter. Apparently, the litter is on back order, so they decided it would be cute to delay the entire order. I only found this out after emailing them. Ridiculous to hold up the entire order because of one item. They didn鈥檛 even end up shipping the litter, so I鈥檓 waiting on the food. My cats ran out this morning, and since I have covid, I can鈥檛 go anywhere.

I was offered a half hearted apology and a 10% discount off my next order. 馃槀馃槀 People really need to hold this company accountable or they will never change their business practices.

We have used Chewy for several years. The price is great and I love having large bags of dog food and cat litter delivered to my door.

On top of that, customer service is top notch. We have received painted portraits of two of our pets just for being customers. When our cat died earlier this year, they helped me remove her from our profile and sent a card and a beautiful bouquet of flowers.

Any time I have contacted them for issues (which have been few and far between), they have come back with the perfect resolution.

I didn't believe the poor reviews I read so I tried the pharmacy. Believe the reviews folks. I ordered insulin a life saving medication. They still have not shipped one month later. I called and spoke to someone in the pharmacy and was assured it would ship next week. The order was paid for a week ago. However no syringes, they say they have never received a rx. I mailed it twice. Get your meds elsewhere or learn the hard way like I did. Don't believe their ads. Now I know why they spend so much and advertising.

I can not say enough good stuff about chewy! I get my dogs cbd treats and bones through them and they are always wonderful. One time I didn鈥檛 recieve one item and I messaged them and they sent the item and 4 extra bones with my order! They are a great company overall!

We have been ordering many items through Chewy for years now, and we are also on the automatic shipment for our orders which has been extremely helpful. What impacted my wife and I most is the arrangement of flowers received within one week of putting our 11.5 year old Weimaraner down (See attached photo). We are not sure who Elizabeth is at Chewy, or how Chewy found out, but we will always order from Chewy just from this one amazing experience. Thank you Chewy

Very disappointed. Twice now I have ordered medication in advance on my pers prescription coming due. I don't know how everyone else gets this amazing fast shipping, but my first order took several days after my vet approved the prescription before it shipped. We got our other dogs medication thru another pet med site as a test to see if it was just the mail. Nope! That order was received within 3 days of placing it – that includes shipping time & vet approval. But, everyone told me it must be a fluke
. Chewy is great. They said they've always received 2 day shipping. So, I gave them another try. That was the worst mistake I could make!! It was a refill so no vet approval required. It took 3 days for my order to be given to the carrier. And they have apparently shipped first class (not two day shipping as I was told) so it will now be another 5 days before my medication is received (and that is only if there are no delays in transit). So that means my little girl will be chewing herself to bleeding again for 3 days without any medication because the order was not shipped 2day shipping as it was supposed to! And Chewy's CS response to that? A canned response reiterating the date 5 days out. When I express my unhappiness with them simply repeating a shipping date, I finally get a human response saying to let them know if I have to purchase a few days meds in between now & the shipping date. However, as I told them, I do not have the funds to pay out of pocket for more at the moment. Also, the vet will not write for more until after our visit at the end of the month for blood work. When I explain this, the human compassion is gone & I get yet another canned response stating the shipping date from yet another rep because apparently the same representative can not respond twice. So you have to repeat yourself over & over because they can only see the most recent message. We are a family on one disability income & I can't afford things like this. We budget for everything. This medication is well out of our budget but we sacrificed elsewhere because our girl needs it. But I can't make money appear out of nowhere or make the vet write an extra small prescription because they didn't ship how they were supposed to. I should never have given the second chance.

This used to be a good place. Now you have to look at your final order with a fine-toothed comb. I ordered dry Rachel Ray dog food originally. The bag looks exactly like the cat food bag, except that there is a dog instead of a cat on it. I added the dry dog food to my cart, since I was on the "dry dog food" page, but somehow it was switched to the Rachel Ray dry cat food. I did not check the final description on my invoice, since I selected dry dog food, and ordered. Now, I have more cat food than I need, am almost out of dog food, and have to expose myself to potential COVID 19 infection, by going to the store. I have four underlying conditions. That is why I order from Chewy. I have to avoid exposure at all costs. Now I can't, and have to run to the store. So, long story short … too late … look over every order you make on the final invoice, before ordering. Their website is very glitchy.

Horrible, incompetent pharmacy and/or customer service reps. A week after submitting two of my dogs new prescriptions it still says "preparing to ship". The right hand does NOT know what the left hand is doing. My dogs should have started their medicine days ago but Chewys never contacted me to inform me that they hadn't heard back from one of the vets. I cancelled my order after hearing 3 different stories as to why the medicine had not shipped. Stick with 1800PetMeds! They know what they are doing and get it done QUICKLY! Shame on Chewys! Stick with your dog food and toys!

The food delivery is great but they need to get out of the pharmacy business. Five days and still no shipment on either of my orders despite numerous assurances from customer service that my order was about to ship. And this is includes two days wasted becuase they could fax the prescription request to my vet. My vet has a receptionist just to answer calls but Chewy insisted they could never rach anyone. I won't make this mistake again and will be cancelling my prescription autoship.

On Aug 23 2020, I ordered pain pills for my dog who is in great pain. I believe the Chewy add said it ships in several days. I found through Chewy, that I could get the pills she needs much cheaper ..we are on SS and don't have a lot of extra money. I had enough pills to get me through a couple days ..so I convinced my vet to let me get the pills elsewhere. It's now 8 days since the order was placed with Chewy and I just got a text from Fed Ex that delivery was bumped up from Aug 30 to the now, Sept 3 date. I FEEL NOW I am going to have to call my vet and ask for more pills. I feel that Chewy should not advertise shipment in 3 days if they can't provide it.

I have had a wonderful experience with Chewy.com over the years regarding dog food shipments. However, I'm not happy with their review process. I submitted a review stating the dog treats I received were Made in Mexico. In addition, the treats contained Red Food dye. I also answered a question from a potential customer about where the treats were made. Photos were submitted with the review. My review and answer to the question are NOT on their website months later. Now I question those reviews and believe they are flawed.

I鈥檝e always loved their service and how fast they are but holy cow! I had an order shipped and delivered but I never saw the package. I messaged them and within 5 hours they responded with 鈥渁 replacement package is on its way鈥?I open the door the very next day and BOOM the new package is there.
I hope this company doesn鈥檛 change their customer service effort. It鈥檚 nice to see a company actually care about their customers for once

Cjewy is the worst for prescription medicine. There was a mishap with the dosage chewy sent my vet so my vet denied the order. Instead of notifying me about that Chewy just let it go until I called them to follow-up on my order. This resulted.in my sickness going 2 additional days without their medicine! YOU SUCK CHEWY. If i could afford to get the medicine for my 3 rescue dogs from the vet I would but I guess I have to sacrifice competency for low prices

I ordered Onguard topical flea & tick protection from Chewy. Well the product poisoned my dogs (they finally recovered). I left a scathing review on Google for Onguard. This morning Chewy called me and said they saw the review and were refunding my purchase! My review had nothing to do with them but they totally stepped up for me! I so appreciate this kind of customer service. I am also very satisfied with their prices, products and free shipping! Thank you Chewy!

Unfortunately, my puppy that I was preparing for passed away before I had the chance to bring him home. I placed a massive order with Chewy to prepare for the puppy and needed to issue a refund/return.

Instead of having me send back the items, Chewy sent me a heartfelt note and issued me a full refund and asked for the items to be donated in the name of my passed puppy instead of sending the items back. I was completely taken back of how thoughtful and caring the support team was.

In the future when I bring home another puppy, I'll be a forever loyal customer and advocate of Chewy.

We have been a customer for over a year for auto ship. It was easy and affordable. Recently both of dogs passed on. Our customer service rep Isreal was so kind to us asking questions and showing true concern for our loss. To our surprise he credited our last order and even sent flowers to us. That really touched us So many times we see large companies treat people like numbers and show little care for their customers. Not Chewy. What a culture they have there.
