I've been using Chewy to autoship particular regularly used food items for my Critturs for the past 3? Maybe even 4 years now. The customer service for this company is EXEMPLARY absolutely top notch. My ONLY complaint is the size of the boxes & the inability of FedEx to bring it up the driveway. (they make for great cat castles, tho, so silver lining!) BUT that is not Chewy's fault, so I won't ding THEM for this, & I understand it makes for a lesser carbon shipping footprint. Particularly during Covid19, their service has made me feel safer & alleviated my concerns about my Critturs' food needs. GREAT company.

I have 4 dogs and used to pick up their food, supplies, toys, etc from big name pet stores in town. Then I discovered Chewy.com and their autoship service. So now, I order all the dogs鈥?pet food, snacks and supplements for autoship and I never have to go into a store and lug around heavy bags of dog food anymore. My autoship deliveries have always been on time. Even during Covid lockdown, the delays have been very short and reasonable. What鈥檚 best is that the prices are very competitive, reasonable and sometimes much lower than I paid at the brick and mortar stores. I鈥檝e been really happy with the autoship service and my dogs are so pleased to get their dog food delivered every couple of weeks.

I recently purchased the Frisco Tufted Square Orthopedic Pillow Cat & Dog Bed w/Removable Cover from Chewy. This was a great deal for the price. The bed is super comfy but firm for my older dogs. Pluses: preferred square-shape; well-made with a firm, balanced-placed fill; removable cover for washing; and the price was perfect for the budget. When I saw this bed and price for the large/x-large size, I thought, 'perfect!' I read the description carefully, measurements, etc. and chose to purchase. However, the size is off by three inches. The description states it is 34 inches when it is actually 31 inches – reason for the 3 stars. Three inches makes a big difference when you have a large breed dog. Because all the pluses outweigh the minus three inches, I decided to keep the bed instead of dealing with the hassle of returning. If you don't care that the bed is smaller than indicated, I would recommend purchasing.

The best company on earth. My cat passed away and I called to stop my automatic delivery. When I came home 2 days later, there were flowers from a local florist offering me condolences and someone if I needed to talk. What????? Really??? I love these people. What company does that? They really care about you, and they have better prices than the stores. They ship right to your door. Awesome people who know what customer service means.

Chewy.com is an excellent, conscientious, trustworthy company to do business with. I have ordered many items from Chewy, such as dog and cat food, a cat tree, dog and cat toys, leashes, collars, etc. Everything has been excellent quality and very fairly priced. They are excellent at updating delivery times and very easy to work with on returns. I highly recommend Chewy to anyone with four legged friends! 🙂

I have been buying my dogs' food about 6 month when they gradually started changing the date they sent it. We are senior citizens. Our social security comes the 2nd Wednesday of the month, which means we needed to get the food in the middle of the month. Chewy took it upon themselves to get it closer and closer to the first in the month. When we told them to change it back to the middle of the month they agreed, but it didn't happen. Then we decided to stop the autoship. They stopped the next month, but the next month I looked at my bank account and it said $111.00 was coming out of my acct. the next day. This happened during the virus beginning and we lost our pay. I called and the lady I talked to said they were having trouble with their website and they couldn't stop it coming out of our account. Then, the food arrived. We told them we were sending it back and wanted our money back. And they are to never send us food again. They said that on Monday, 5/11/2020 put it on our porch at 8:00 am and they will have it picked up. Now it is 6:17pm and it is still sitting on my porch. They also said that after they receive it, they will return our money. !!!! How many days will that be. Do not ever deal with these people . I know I won't.

I have a cat with special dietary needs. There's always a real person to "Chat" with to help you with questions or concerns. If more businesses in America would follow Chewy's work ethic consumers would be more satisfied with the products they buy. They even send out HOLIDAY cards to their clients and that's just it. They don't have clients…they are FAMILY! I love them!

I have never had issues with Chewy this last year, products always arrive accurate, safe and on time. I will still give 4 stars even though the dog food I ordered last week has not yet been shipped, because i know everyone is doing their best during this trying time, I recommend Chewy and want to encourage all the Chewy employees for your hard work. I order for the first time thinking this would be great the stuff I ordered is fine however they charged me 4 times on my account so I spoke with someone said it should credit back to my account with then 24 hours. Still hasn't been credited to my account so must likely wont ever order from them again.

currently work at the chewy manufacturers in sparks nevada . let me tell you if 1 person gets it. This will be another out break. They are only using procedures to keep the job running smoothly. But we still walk by each other in big groups, we still line up at the job boards. We sometimes have no soap to wash are hands . there is no hand sanitizer. We dont even follow the 6 feet apart rule everyone laughs at the rule and working distances wont allow that, we do not follow governers request. No face mask nothing at all. It's going to hit here and hit hard for chewy very soon . remember this email!
Remember we touch 1000 . millions of packages a day. It's like if they get the virus they are sending a gift to youre house with what you ordered

i recently ordered $156.20 worth of products,. my total was $156.20 which I used debit card.
Today I went into my bank account and found chewy not only debited me $156.20 BUT $56.00 AND ANOTHER $10.00 {ABOUT} which when I called them they said these extra charges will "drop off" WHEN items shipped from various places are delivered to me. REALLY???? SERIOUSLY???? SO….. meantime my cheques coming out of my bank tomorrow will bounce. THIS IS A DISGUSTING WAY OF DOING BUSINESS , thieving bandits….

Best pet related online shopping place ever.
Have been shopping there for over 6 years. Recommended it to many friends of mine and we all happy with their service and products. They carry quite large varieties of healthy brands such as Wellness, Natural Instinct, American Journey etc. Love their occasionally BOGO no grain pet food. Shipping is fast. Customer service is always helpful and professional.

I have been ordering with Chewy for a while and now see the new business practice of double charging. I spent $123 and they double charge because "your order is coming from separate warehouses"! Should that mean something to me???????? I paid for it! What if every retailer had this policy???? I still haven't had those charges released and will report them. NEVER AGAIN!

BEWARE VERY UNETHICAL BUSINESS PRACTICES
I placed an order and authorized Chewy to debit my bank account for $92.88. They did this, and then, the same day, debited my account in the amounts of $13.03, $18.22 and $61.63 (totaling ANOTHER $92.88). When I called to ask what in the he** was happening, I was told that my merchandise was being shipped from three separate warehouses and that each warehouse debited my account for the amount they shipped and the "pending debit" for the total amount would be removed in several days. HOW IS THIS EVEN LEGAL?? No one asked me if they could charge me twice the amount. Since I was not warned, and it is the end of the month, I did not have $184 left in my checking account, and I am now over-drafted and facing overdraft charges of $34 a day. When I called again today, I was told I could make a three way call with my bank on Monday and they would explain the charges to the bank and that they (Chewy) would pay any overdraft charges incurred. What the heck??? It's my credit affected also, you brain-dead crooks! I am told this is their "new policy". Well, their new policy will insure that I never order again from this company. I asked the customer service if I needed to have two or three times the amount of my order in my account of if I ever placed an order again and was told "no,"we will just pay any additional over draft fees incurred each time." What a way to run a company!!! I scrolled through pages and pages of reviews on this site and found this has happened to many other people. I will be filing complaints with Dept. of Consumer Affairs, Better Business Bureau and any other agency I can find that protects consumers from predatory businesses and scammers like these.

And the award for unethical practice goes to Chewie.com. As I usually do, I ordered my monthly pets food and supplies. Unbeknownst to me-their new practice is to double charge you if your order is coming from two different locations. Instead of breaking the payments up of what鈥檚 coming from where they double charged me because my dogs toy (that was a whole three dollars) came from a different plant so I was charged the full $135 amount twice. They have had my money on hold for over four days so far. I called them on Saturday and was told my money would鈥檝e been released 24 to 48 hours from the day it was shipped on Friday. Well I guess that鈥檚 not true either because I called again today and they said the weekends don鈥檛 count. I can only imagine if my shipment came from four different places instead of two. Chewy is the owner of Petsmart so they too will lose my business. If you鈥檙e going to double charge people you should let them know ahead of time and give them the choice to walk away or agree to it. You have no right taking money out of someone鈥檚 account that they didn鈥檛 authorize. And then these box stores wonder why they鈥檙e going out of business.
DOUBLE CHARGED
I purchased some clothes for my dog on chewy.com and they charged me for the full order. But since the order shipped in partial shipments they turned around and charged me for each partial shipment totaling the amount of the order.. mind you they took it upon themselves to go back into my account and make unauthorized charges without my consent or notifying me. When I called them about the discrepancy they informed me,very rudely, that I would have to "contact my bank and then call them back and get a supervisor on the phone and that's the only way they would even begin to credit me back the charges." When they admitted that they saw the additional charges. I would say that's a lot of inconvenience for something that was a error on their part. It's a lot of hold time with the bank and with them. It's a terrible business practice and for that I will never order anything else from them. So basically unless you want to have your account double charged and experience a terrible time getting it corrected I would not do any online purchases with them.
Take caution when using Chewy
Take caution when using Chewy! The website itself was never an issue for me. My issue is with how chewy's system does their payment. I ordered multiple items totaling $171.42. They took the $171.42 out of my account right then. The items shipped in 3 seperate packages and they charged 3 separate charges for what was in each package for a total of the $171.42 (there was still a hold for the original $171.42 for a total charge to my account for $342.84). I recieved all 3 packages and yet there is still a hold on the original $171.42, 5 days later I still am out a total of $342.84! Customer service was of no help. They told me that the hold must have gotten "stuck" and I needed to do a 3 way call with my bank for them to release the $171.42 so I can have it back otherwise I will never get it back! They said there was absolutely NOTHING else they could do for me! I can not do a 3 way call with my bank, however, luckily my bank has a security policy and will only hold for so long before they automatically put it back in my account so, I should get my money back in a few days only because of my banks policy not because chewy released the hold of my money!. Chewy seems to have a pretty shady "system" for their payments and finds some way to cheat people out of their money. I will never do business with them again for taking too much money out of my account without my authorization, and then giving me a hassle for getting it back!
If I could leave no stars I would
If I could leave no stars I would. My vet referred me to this company as they carry a dry cat food no longer available on the shelves. BEWARE, they double-dip in your bank account. The company drop ships and you will see itemized withdrawals, but then they go back and put a PENDING HOLD for the total balance. My bank said, a hold is a hold, pending or not, hence for 36 hours $39.02 was frozen. NO company has the authorization to double-dip. When I spoke TO the CS mgr he could not have been more detached, spoke a mile-a-minute and said he would send me a 'pending hold' release for my bank. When does anyone have time to deal with this kind of thing in life. I sure don't. NEVER AGAIN AND I WILL LET MY VET KNOW THIS MORNING.

With 2 dogs who are my furkids and 2 large parrots, I have a Chewy box on my porch about once a week. Further, I have ordered from them for approximately 2 years now on a regular basis so I have had enough experience with them so say 4 stars, not 5.
Initially, it was all rainbows and unicorns when the boxes arrived. We are talking about cases of 12 cans of dog food, various treats for the dogs and birds and the packaging was perfect, the items were as if I selected them myself carefully to ensure no issues or dents in cans and this happiness with the Chewy shopping experience lasted up until 3 or 4 months ago. I had always had great customer service when something was missing – it would be sent out immediately, or if a treat box had opened in shipping they would immediately send out a replacement, just great call center people. Well, that has changed recently.
After a recall of a certain dog food brand of which I did have a case delivered with one of the serial numbers from the recall on it, the customer service representative, showed disinterest. This was really a huge change in what I had experienced previously, this item was recalled, and basically I was told they were not responsible and not going to be doing anything to compensate, takeback, or refund. I was shocked. Then the next shipment arrived and literally every can of dog food in the case was dented as if they were now dealing in "seconds" or rejected items. I called and got a very disinterested customer service representative. She said: "well things shift in shipping" to which I said then you need to pack the boxes with more care, to which she became hostile and I was over it and just said goodbye. Now it is hit or miss, items are routinely out of stock or sold out, items that are listed as" buy one get one free", show up without the "free one", and literally no case of food arrives without dents in at least half of the cans. The prices are decent, the service is fast, and shipping is free after $49, and it is convenient. Thus, I will probably keep purchasing from them although for the first time in a long time I am looking at other online options for dog and parrot food, treats and supplies. Something there has changed and the Chewy I knew is not the Chewy that I am shopping from online today. I hope they get it together because when they do get it right, it is awesome, when they get it wrong I end up in the car on the way to the grocery store to fix the order that was messed up. Please, Chewy take a look at your site, keep things in stock, and re-train your customer service team, I want to love you again and give you 5 stars!
