I had a Chamberlain/LiftMaster automatic gate opener (model: CSL24UL) installed at my home about 10 months ago and was happy until about four weeks ago. The gate now mysteriously opens without any input from my remote devices or phone application. It generally opens late at night and I believe I have heard a car traveling down our alley when this occurs. I believe someone may be checking to see if garage doors or gates will open with their remote – so that they may come back later to break in. I am worried for my safety now and have started to disable the gate at night manually. I have tried to contact Chamberlain technical support to find a way to change the opener codes or somehow correct this phantom opening, but have had no proposed solutions. I like the gate opener, otherwise. It opens/closes quietly, smoothly and fairly quickly for a large gate, but this security breach is unacceptable. Therefore, I cannot suggest others purchase this unit.

Contractor put a B750 in during remodel. Very slow my old lift master was a lot faster and quieter. A plastic cover was busted by contractor before installed. Contacted Chamberlain support through their web site to see about a replacement cover. Tech support replies then acts like they do not receive my reply to them. Waited couple of weeks and try again to have the same thing happen with a different support person.
Then Chamberlain sends me a survey about my experience with support. My responses to the survey explained what happened. I am still waiting for a reply to my survey. I mentioned if no reply that was their reply.

Failed in heavy rain
I bought one of these about two years ago. It failed about a week before the warranty was up. It was replaced without charge. This replacement one was fine up to about a month ago (about a month after the warranty was up). It started to go off incessantly until I had to turn it off which is inconvenient when you are expecting deliveries. I took it apart only to find it was full of water and rusting where the batteries are secured. I allowed it to dry and cleaned it up with an electrical contact cleaner. Put it back together and hung it out again. Again, full of water within a few days. I repeated this process once more. This time I tried to seal the edge with hot glue hoping it would protect the interior but easily removed if there was another problem. It went off in the middle of the night. I've since taken it down altogether. There was not much water in it this time but it's still unpredictable and unreliable.

The company responded to my initial review on Home Depot Canada website saying they would contact me to resolve the situation and that I should email them. I emailed them 3 times but they never responded. I believe their response to my complaint on a public website was to make it appear as though they would rectify the situation but they ignored every email.
It's poor quality and their customer service stinks!

After any power outage the travel up & down memory limits are erased again. The logic board design is defective and appears to have no residual on-chip memory as past models had. This causes the travel bar to bend significantly and is a real safety hazard as it can snap and kill someone. They are aware of the problem yet continue to say that it is standard in some current models and it requires you to reprogram it after each and every minor power outage. They need to recall and replace these Receiver Logic Board #45ACT.
After talking with the Exec Assist. to CEO they had QC review the matter & view my video. They are now sending me a new Logic Board to replace the defective one under warranty.
