Cdbaby times are Over. They was lucky to be first on market so they not need to care about service or friendliness.
But honestly these guys life some other planet, noose big up 0 support.
Im a professional musician myself and my earnings are way higher then from the cdbaby CEO. So trust me this Company soon will be over. They literally will loose all their clients because they are outdated. From site to mentality they are just garbage. So save your time and not come here.

I鈥檓 kinda disapointed, paid 30$ for worldwide distribution for each song and only got streams from people that I personnaly know.

I really love the integrations CD Baby offers. Such as show.co, mastering etc. They have a great base of business connections even with Bandzoogle. It really helps with an artist's career move toward the top, or whatever top is to the artist! Looking forward to see how the digital streams perform in regards to royalties! Thanks.

It is impossible to delete your account! I asked in 2006 already and said I stopped all distribution. Years later I still find my music on Amazon. Another few years later all of a suddenly they claim rights for Youtube and IG that I had not asked for. Apparantly in the account (that I asked to delete) they have a new option that you have to undo. I can highly recommand going to a party like The Source.eu that asks zero money to add your music to hundreds of platforms worldwide. As they earn a small percentage on your each download/stream, they work FOR you, instead of using you. A wonderful team! Easy to access by phone. Its dutch but artists all over the world are welcome! CD Baby may have started from the heart to assist musicians, it has unfortunately become a money machine that uses the dream of many independent artist.

This is my 2021 review of CDBaby:
CDBaby has tremendously improved and has been delivering all my music greatly. I'm a very happy camper with them. The royalties payment was also accurate and fast, i think the best services i ever used all this time. I'm going to stay with CDbaby for good now.

Good day, i am not pleased with the fact that my album is still not yet available on apple music and iTunes. It's been a bit long now and it embarrasses me to do promotions and marketing without my music being available on such a big platform

Trashy Customer Service. They take 21 effin days to release a single / album. Any support requests can take upto a week to be answered and sometimes 4 weeks+ to get resolved.

Only missed my advertised release date a week too late. Messed the whole thing up and impossible to get hold of anyone. Apparently it had been 'filed into wrong folder'.

They are becoming outdated.
1. They still use banner ads.
2. No Facebook pixel option for HearNow. Good luck tracking where people are clicking from. Save money and use Artisthub.io or Toneden.io.
3. $90 for album. I'll just do it for free on Repost Network.

CD Baby customer service is the WORST!
– emailed and called them for the last 6 MONTHS!!
– they've mixed my album up with another artist
– all I get is a reply saying they'll look into it – but never do
– Once they have your money for distribution, they don't care

Extremely bad and slow service, missed several release dates and as soon you ask something you are in a vacuum for six weeks. I got the same question like 3 or 4 times about an issue and I've responded to all of these e-mails-nothing happens!

While you are submitting your work they're trying to push ~150 different optional services on you. That's profoundly annoying and confusing.
Once you submitted, you get into a queue to have your submission checked. That takes 1-3 weeks, so it'd be nice if that checking was a predictable and reliable process. Apparently it isn't. I submitted two singles with the same credits and genre. One was accepted and the other rejected because "something is wrong with the credits". Er, okay. I had to resubmit and am now waiting for another 1-3 weeks.
From today, the first single (the one that was accepted) appears in Spotify, but the credits are wrong. Spotify lists the names of the band members and then the actual band name. So, today I had to write yet another message to customer support.
Obviously, a reply takes time. Fortunately, they're pretty clear how much time they need in their automatic reply. "Response times are currently 4-6 business days or longer." What does this sentence even mean?
As an artist you're apparently confronted with seemingly random decisions and errors, and when you e-mail support to correct them, you have to wait for a completely unclear amount of time.
That's all just not good enough.

Very good and helpful service. The one things I would appreciate is an ability to update/correct previously submitted tracks.

Overall, the options are great with CDBaby. My biggest concern is the lack of technology still within a distribution service platform. e.g. I have existing tracks using the same artist information but the system is claiming my artist doesn't exist on Spotify. "No artist ID is stored for this release." This isn't the first time I had to get help on my artist name for similar issues.
The extra frustration beyond this is trying to get help on the matter. It's been almost 3 weeks and I held off on a release because of this. Still, today, no reply to my support request.
Finally, Huge wait times for releases…
"A member of our team will be inspecting your release shortly
Current inspection wait time is 1-3 weeks"

I really like how detailed the site is when it comes to explaining how where your music is shared and used. The costs could be lower, but I think it鈥檚 also fair considering that you can really get some good perks with the 鈥減ro release鈥?option. Dashboard makes it easy to navigate the earnings and any releases you have made in the past.

CD Baby has been a trusted source for my music for a while now. I have released two CDs through CD Baby. They make it possible for unsigned artists to pursue and realize their dreams and goals of becoming an established artist. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to take their music to the net level of professionalism.
