Cashbybanks.com

I was shopping loans online when I came across cashbybanks.com. I went to apply and immediately noticed a major problem; the form was asking for SS# and Bank account info, and it was NOT an SSL (https://) website. So I called them expecting to provide that info only to a direct lender. This is when this scam became obvious.

I first mis-dialed the number, or so I thought. Before I could re-dial it, THEY CALLED ME BACK. The phone had not even rang once when I hung up before.

IMMEDIATELY I became even more concerned as the voice on the other end of the phone was either Indian or Middle Eastern. He immediately started asking me for my bank account info. I told him I needed to verify HIS company before I did anything like that. He got irritated.

So I asked this person if he was in Pensacola. He said he was. I asked him if he lived there. He said he did. So I started asking him questions about Pensacola, FL. (Little did he know I've vacationed there every year for the last 30 years). He knew absolutely nothing about Pensacola (like the name of the Naval Air base there), the name of the county Pensacola was located in, even the major Interstate that ran through there (I-10 & I-110). This guy get's more and more testy with me.

I asked him if I could speak with the owner or his supervisor. He said he was the owner. So I asked for the legal name of his company. Then the guy on the phone starts yelling obscenities at me.

cashbybanks.com is DANGEROUS! individuals with less online experience or discernment skills could easily have their bank account cleaned out (ostensibly at a future date when there is money in there).
