Car Vertical is a scam! I paid $30 for two car reviews and didn't get one single report! What I got is general data about a car type you're purchasing only! There is no mileage and car history at all! I sent them two emails but they haven't answered. There should be legal actions taken against these cheaters!

I recently bought a new car with the help of a Carvertical report. Everything that was stated in my report ended up being accurate information. Although the vehicle was used, it looked really fresh. It looked like an awesome deal, but the seller was asking for quite a big price so I had to make sure it is worth it. The report has shown me the car was previously damaged and some parts had to be changed, the car was repainted. Apparently, the seller wasn鈥檛 aware of those damages (as he鈥檚 just re-selling the car) and was glad to reduce the price for 250$. Sometimes by spending some, you win some!

Wanted to buy a 2003 BMW 5-series. They found that it actually had 3 Junk and Salvage records. No wonder it was so cheap. Would have cost me a fortune in the long run.

I almost got scammed by a used car salesman. No wonder he didn鈥檛 want to let me do a full checkup before deciding whether to buy this or not. Used Carvertical and actually found out that it was used as a taxi, and we all know how taxi companies maintain their cars.

Out of curiosity, I bought the premium report for my Chevrolet (I bought it used). It had three reported accidents from a previous owner. Took it to the workshop, turned out to be true. No wonder the water was leaking into the interior all over.

A car I wanted to buy was listed as being used as a rental car, dodged a bullet. Good way to avoid shady merchants!

I purchased a report for a 2015 Opel Insignia. What I received was totally worthless with zero information. It did not even include the original equipment/extras list from the manufacturers database as shown in the example report and no information about maintenance although the car has been maintained in the manufacturers network. Contacted support by mail and facebook, mail reply after 6 days with hardly understandable German answer stating that they do not guarantee any information. Facebook no reply after 4 days.

Update: After I published the review the support replied again and I received a full refund, so I increase the rating to 2-stars. Still the report was useless, there was no understandable explaination why it did not contain the information they promised and the overall support experience was not satisfying.

Useless – checked 2 cars with clear history and the site returned mambo-jambo data.

Don't pay, don't use it 🙂

No informations about the kilometers. I will never buy it again!

Payed 2 reports to verify a motorcycle VIN from Italy. The report returned was with 0 relevant information, absolutely 0. I happen to have a picture from one maintenance done at an Italian dealer (it did 2), of course it did not appear in the report. No km, no pictures, no information, everything hidden after "No problems detected".

They promised data but when they took the money, they had to show me only the registration date of the ten years old car i checked. Fraud.

I purchased a Report on a Dodge Charger. The carVerticle Report came back clean so I drove an hour to go and see the car. The owner disclosed the car had been written off 3 years ago and had a Rebuilt Title. So that was a waste of time. I never would have driven to see the car if the report had said it was a Rebuilt Title.

So carVerticle gave me a second report for free. That one came back wrong as well. It showed NO LIENS. The owner again told me there is a lien on the car and it would have to be removed before I bought the car. Again, a false report from car Verticle.

So two reports, both showing NO issues, and both were wrong. Waste of money. Don't trust the report.

As far as I can tell it's great service. Of course, I have bought only one report on carvertical, but it had all the information about the car I needed. Tho, I wanted to print out the report, but they don't give an apportunity to do that.

Of course, it's not perfect – I wanted to see if there's any pictures of the accidents in the report for a project car I wanted to buy. Some features on that car made me confused a bit, I wasn't sure that have happened to it, but the report showed the approximately places on the car which were damaged. It helped me to understand what was also really fixed or changed in the original complection of the car. However I've expected pictures.

As I see so many negative reviews, all these people would call me stupid, but I have bought three reports in total. I didn't like the last one actually, since it didn't showed milleage data, which I really needed. However I have made a refund claim and money was refunded without any argument. It took a week tho to get that.
