We stayed at Cartron House for 1 night on Thursday 22nd August 2019, wish it had been much longer.
The owner Ann made us feel really welcome and explained where everything was and then showed us to our room. This is a dog friendly hotel, so our dog Jack -Jack was also made welcome, he was very happy to have a lovely stroll around a Kilometer walk around the property woodland pathway, which is fenced off.
We were in room 2, which is a beautiful room, with a really large Super King sized bed, very nice bed linen and a spotlessly clean room. This could have been a room in a top 5* hotel, just fabulous.
We had an excellent nights sleep, with a really great breakfast to look forward too. This did not disappoint either, with Fresh Fruit, Hams, Cheeses, Breads, Cereal, Jams and for me Marmite ( how thoughtful is that). There is also a good and varied choice of cooked food, I had Sausage and Scrambled Egg my wife had a Full Irish , which did outface her, but she certainly didn't go hungry. We were in fact sad to leave, but would have absolutely no hesitations, we will definitely go back. We are thinking of inviting our friends and making a mini break of it. If your looking for a peaceful, stunning location and host par excellence this is for you. More
