I purchased a cooker on 04/12/2018 from Carrefour Store in Mall of the Emirates. We precisely asked for a suitable ( gas line) cooker in the area of the Palm Jumeirah as we live in the shorelines. In our apartments, the gas supply is through a central pipeline system and the Sales Associate assured that it will be the as per the requirement of the area of Palm and we will have no problems. However, we had a mind to buy much more expensive Bosch product and Sales Man particularly recommended this DAEWOO model which was much cheaper. We purchased as we thought that they sell genuine product and care about the customers, even more, their safety.
We received the cooker on 06/12/2018 and the Carrefour couldn't install the DAEWOO cooker as the drivers were not qualified to touch the gas line for installation or for disconnecting. Therefore, we called Lootah gas team to come around and install the unit and to disconnect the old cooker. Unfortunately, Lootah gas gave us an appointment on 08/12/2018 at 2.30pm, a day after the delivery. When the Lootah gas visited us they found out the DAEWOO cooker from Carrefour and DANGEROUS to install as they have done modification in the cooker to be suitable to install in the gas line. The Lootah gas installer's findings were
1. Upon conversion – Carrefour has replaced with duplicated and cheap caps in the Average burners, Work burner and in the Small burner.
2. The Burner Gas Diffuser under the caps are replaced and not original parts
3. Wok Burner the injectors are physically broken and see the attached picture.
4. No burner spare parts are included
Since the Lotah Gas team REFUSED to install the DAEWOO cooker recommending it is dangerous due to the modification was done without any standards we are left with no cooker. And now the Carrefour is not willing to find a solution. They passing the issue to Daewoo saying that the Daewoo is responsible for resolving our issue. However, If the Lootah gas refusing to install the cooker for health and safety reasons and if they install it then the burners will melt as the gas infusion will not be equally distributed. Therefore, the Carrefour must resolve the issue to refund the money to the client. I didn't buy the product from Daewoo, I purchased the product in the Carrefour store in MOE and my legal contractual obligations are with Carrefour not with the Daewoo.
We were not informed about any parts replacement and we purchased a BRAND NEW product which supposes to come with originals parts. And this purchase was made upon the recommendation of the salesman in Carrefour. Secondly, it is gross to see that there are parts broken and we were not informed of any of the modifications. The salesman has pushed us to purchase this cheap product as you are receiving more margin. We don't care what you make as far as what you sell is a genuine product and honest customer service.
We are in the process of finding a solution in our own way. Before any of you purchase anything please do your research. Do not rely upon the information given to you by the Sales Associates in the Carrefour.

After a very disappointing experience with securitystaff and a much worst experience with the supervisor who is not able to resolve a simple problem. We understood that they don't have ethics and work culture training's at all in Carrefour. They allow themselves to rise their voice to customers and laugh at them if they complain.
Call Center is not able to resolve nothing, they just close the case after 24 hours if they don't like it. We never receive an apologize for their rude and unrespectful way to approach people.
