I messaged the owner Jair through Yelp and he gave me a very fair estimate for a deep cleaning service ($270 flat rate for deep cleaning of "inside refrigerator, oven, microwave, dishwasher, cabinets, closets, also do windows, baseboards, doors, floors, bathrooms, we bring tools and supplies – also deep clean washer / dryer"). We agreed on a date and time and I said I'd confirm with them again the night before our scheduled time. The first red flag was when Jair and two of his cleaners arrived to the house one whole day early(!!). He texted me, said that he was in the front of the house, and then realized he got the dates mixed up and asked if they could clean today instead. Luckily, I was running errands only 10 minutes away, so I was able to meet them and let them into the house – but honestly, I shouldn't have had to reschedule my own day when he got the date wrong. I gave them a pass because they had already travelled so far to get there. Upon my arrival, we did a quick walk through so I could show him more specific areas I wanted to make sure would get a deep cleaning (refrigerator, washer, dryer, ceiling fans, kitchen cabinets). Since I didn't want to be in the way during the cleaning, I left after confirming how long they would take. Jair said it would just take about 3.5 hrs since they had 3 cleaners that day, instead of just 2 cleaners, and that he could text me with 30 minutes notice when they were almost done.
I went back out to do errands and pickup lunch for the cleaning crew. After an hour over the estimated end time, I texted Jair and he said it would take another hour, so I decided to head back to the house around the time he gave me. When I got back, I was surprised to see no one else except one of the cleaners working there. She was working on half of the house by herself. I texted Jair and asked if the cleaner was doing the whole job by herself, all he said was that the three of them did clean the other floor together. After the cleaner packed up all her supplies over another hour later, I did a quick walkthrough of the areas I asked for deep cleaning, and was surprised to find that the fridge was still full of food stains, the cabinets have not been cleaned at all, the ceiling fans have dust, the windows still had smudges and dirt on the frames (looked untouched), and the floors still had visible construction dust/dirt on it. The washer and dryer were definitely untouched. I pointed out the areas to her and asked if they had been cleaned. She said they were cleaned. I had to show her the washer and dryer and the stains on the fridge again. She barely wiped them off and said it was done. I texted Jair to ask him how far away he was, and he first said 30 minutes. Then he said an additional 20 minutes because of traffic. I wanted to let him take a walk through of the space because I did not see a deep clean as promised. The only cleaning I saw was superficial, and none of the areas he quoted me were cleaned at all. I waited almost an hour for him and Jair still didn't show up yet, so I gave a payment check for $270 to the cleaner and called it a night after texting back and forth about his ETA.
I have never felt so shitty after using a service, and the house is probably still in the same condition as before. I felt like it was my fault for expecting a deep clean service to be an actual spotless deep clean. After texting Jair about how disappointed I was, he said he could come back again to clean. I did not want him or his crew coming back again because I just don't trust their work at all at this point. I basically threw my time and money away for nothing. I would not recommend using Carrada's for any type of deep clean services.
