Carport Central

Spent two months trying to get Carport Central to provide plans my county would accept for permit. Never did. Spent another month trying to get my deposit back (over $1,000.). Does not return calls, I'm currently pursuing legal channels to try to reclaim my deposit. Avoid this company, and Central Steel (sister companies) at all costs!

Ordered the second week of July, told them we absolutely need these two buildings no later than EARLY October. They stated at that time that would be no problem as the delivery date was only 6 to 8 weeks. The install company started jerking us around the third week of September. FOUR NO SHOWS LATER it is now the first week of November with yet ANOTHER excuse and ANOTHER week delay! Not only that but when I called and raised cane about it they had the gall to start laughing and yelling AT ME! They took over a thousand dollar down payment already. They have claimed to be in NY state FOUR TIMES now and went back to North Carolina every time. I say BS! They have never been in this state for ANY install, this company and their "suppliers" are a scam. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE USE THIS SCAMMY SCUMMY COMPANY! We now have a damaged camper due to these unprofessional scam artists.

This has been the worst treatment and experience dealing with trying to get a damn 12 x 21 ft. Carport to cover a new little trailer RV we wanted to purchased to protect it. Ordered it on Aug 7th 2020 and to this day Oct. 28 2020 have no carport and believe we will NEVER have one, but did give a guy by the name of CHRIS of Carport Central a 420.00 dollar Deposit on it, at the first call when we ordered it. He (Chris) told us we would be receiving a phone call on when they would be coming to install it. (NO CALL) We even talked with many people at AMERICAN METAL, a phone number that we got from Carport Central so we could do the follow up that you might think they would do, but another bunch of misleading promises from them also. Never did we get a return phone call from anyone and had to call them back again for any information on whatever was going on with this carport and if we were ever going to get it installed. Promised install on Oct, 23rd, but a no show with all excuses imaginable, called and promised again on this day Oct. 28th. And guess were out of luck again and with another no show. Just a bunch of lies and and misleading scams is all I can figure. I should think this company should be on all the local news channels in GETTING RESULTS segments to protect us from being scammed. I've never felt worse nor have I ever been ripped off the way this unprofessional so called business has done and hope this information will help others to not make the mistake I have, Research was my mistake and I normally know better,

I want to apologize for all the thing I wrote about carport central, we got together and talked, the owners of the company apologized aswell, thing got out of hand on my part. I was told that the owner was very upset over the handling of this deal. I was refunded my deposit and they are still delivering my carport, this is a class A company and I would send anyone there to do business

When I started this project, they were great the supervisor even put in a 5% discount in order to keep it within the amount I can afford and sent me the Purchase Order/Invoice. I approved it gave them the numbers for payment, after that the whole game changed. After reaching out to them for multiple days I got a response.
" I'm sorry I didn't respond to your email. I was out of the office and I just got back today. So I have some bad news, the price book that I used to price your metal structure was the old price book. I didn't receive the new price book with the correct pricing until I submitted the order and it was getting checked. The prices changed due to the price of steel increasing. Your new total for the building came out to be

$9,135.00 plus your local state tax. With the 5% discount that we are still offering you brings it down to $8,678.25

Let me point out the original price was $7476. 27, and his supervisor approve the discount! That's two people checking over the Invoice. I replied to their email asking them to stand behind their original agreement but to no avail.
I call this "Bait and Switch" Business. I think they are a dishonorable business.

Left and never installed one door because they didn't have hardware with them . They shipped it to me and I had to install myself. All 3 roll up doors they installed are not correct. The header seals I paid for and were in the contract were never installed. It has been almost 2 years and they have not finished it . They sure bug us about a payment even though they never completed the building and signed our names on almost everything themselves

Okay, my husband and I started the barn process in Aug 2019, and here I sit still with no barn in December of 2019. This isnt any spectacular barn with lots of rooms, for heavens sake it doesnt even have a floor. just a simple frame with 3 doors….1 in the front and 2 on the sides. The original plans had the doors in the wrong spot on the sides. i was told from the beginning that isnt an issue at all. Guess what, it is. The manufacture said they wont build the barn because the plans are wrong. I live in Nevada and the company they got to build isnt even certified to build here. WHY!!! I have to keep badgering everyone to get them to do anything with this barn. I have already paid for my permits which of course are going to go to waste since i will probably never get the barn. All i keep here from Chris B. is "ma'am, Im doing all i can"…..This unfortunatly isnt even all that i have had to deal with. just the newest development. I would rather have paid 40,000$ then deal with this.

They were great right up until they got there money then another world Mr bond would not return calls have other people to tell me he was not there then the one that calls himself ish? Told me I was a lie and laughed at me but the lady at Markus told him I was not she told me to move the carport so beware of them after they get there money

We recently had a step down barn installed on our property in Lewiston CA. Zack was the lead worker and was very professional and worked very hard in erecting this building. The only problem we had was the buiding was suppose to be 42x 36' and is actually only 34' deep.

Dakota Ellis was beyond amazing. I told her my story and what I needed to do and she worked hard for days to get me what I needed and a great price.
I honestly believe she was a blessing from God.

Installation crew did an incredible job and were very respectful, our barn was completed within the 6 weeks promised by carport central and coast to coast was the company that built our barn. Both companies did everything promised and we couldn't be happier with the outcome and our barn

Although I received conflicting information from some of my contacts, I was very pleased with the customer service, the delivery and installation time, and the professionalism of the installation crew.

I am very pleased so far with your service. I have already put done a down payment and waiting on power to be able to have my barn built. Dakota did a great job.

Have not had our carport installed yet, but so we love everything including Jason. He was very helpful. This is our second carport, and is most definitely this best pricing for a high quality carport.

I ordered from Rick. It was to be delivered 2nd or 3rd wk of July. I called during 2nd week. Rick said he was waiting for ME to tell him when my concrete was poured. I had already told him the exact date it was being poured. He then called the company and then told me it would be the week of August 6. The week came and went. No carport. I called back. They gave me the number of the company building and installing it. I was told they never knew anything about August 6. It would be the 24th or 25th before it would be installed. I said that wasn't going to work. I called Carport Central back to get a refund. Then, a week later, I found how much more expensive it was going to be to get a carport now, I called Carport Central back and they said they hadn't cancelled my order and it would be installed. However, the installer said that I had cancelled the order with them and now it was going to be mid September before install. I said forget it.

The customer service from Jake was great. However, the customer service from the company that installed the carport was very unprofessional and did not meet their install promised date at all. The carport was quoted to us as being installed in 2-4 weeks. We finally received the carport around the 9 week mark. Telephone conversations with the installation company was very unprofessional and not the same kind of customer service we received from Carport Central at all.

We were particularly appreciative of Dakota Goss' expertise….he was very familiar with how to configure the building, options available, and articulate about how best to configure our specific structure as it is a little different. Mr. Goss was superbly communicative, contacting us by email and phone as we progressed thru the process. Dakota was particularly patient and helpful as we tweaked the design. Not to overlook the stellar drawings he made for us to help visualize the specific configuration!!! Outstanding experience – Dakota Goss is a living treasure, an asset for Carport Central!

I think the quality of the carport is top notch and overall experience was amazing. The only thing I can think of that was not great was the waiting time to get my carport installed. The crew that installed my carport were professional and did an amazing job. Customer service was great although at times response to questions were delayed and I had to reach out to the rep again or go to another person to get answers. My overall experience was great and I would definitely recommend you to anyone.

Ryan Griffin is amazing! The sale and superb customer experience can be credited entirely to him. His service was courteous, kind, and efficient, and he is the reason we purchased the building. People like him are few and far between – we would love to work with him on anything! If I could give him triple stars for "above and beyond," I would!!! Superlative!

We installed this building in Nov of 2017 it was blown away Oct 2018. The anchor system was completely inadequate . I will contact BBB and FLa building commission with my complaints , DH

One star rating because I have not received carport yet. Services were very good. Overall sales rating would be a ten. I would like to know when carport will be delivered and can I contact providers to coordinate.

Again the sales part was very good and not pushy. When product is delivered and set up I would be glad to complete survey again.

Wow. I purchased this to cover/protect our RV and couldn't be happier. From the ordering process to the installation, these guys are first rate. Finished product was everything I hoped for and more. Installation was done quickly and very professionally and from time of order to finished building was less than 4 weeks and looks awesome! Your company puts out a very high quality product at a very economical price. Highly recommended.

It was easy to buy the building but the salesperson didn't listen to me. I first called before I moved to compare prices, delivery etc and told him I would call him when I had made a decision. Once I moved I called again and had to determine where to put the building etc and told the sales person the same thing, that I would call when ready, he contacted me multiple times instead of letting me get prepared. I didnt appreciate that he pestered me and then once they had my money I called and left a message with a question and that was three weeks ago, no call back. Incredibly unhappy with this treatment. No I would not buy from you again just for this reason.
