would have got no stars if i could of….

i went into the currys/carphone warehouse at cheetham hill manchester and asked for an UPGRADE and the stupid girl who served me has signed me up to another contract to run along side with the one i already had…
went back to store only to be told " tough you will just have to pay it" asked about the cooling off period and she answered "we don't do returns on phones" went on internet and found the ceo's details sent message got a reply from jenny jones stating that there is nothing they can do but will look into into see if the store is at fault..
i explained that i would not have asked for a new number as i have just had business cards printed with my number on…

any way after 5 days of being passed around i have spoke to EE and within 5 minutes they had sorted it all out…
i have (had) been a loyal customer for over 20 years but will never ever go into one of their stores again and would tell anyone upgrading to go direct to your phone provider or buy a phone elsewhere and just use the sim card they have.
so to say carphone warehouse are crap is an understatement .
why they have a customer service office is beyond me as they do not give a sh7t about you all they see is money of a new phone contract..

We have previously had good service from the stand alone store in Gateshead Metrocentre, but when my wife had a problem with her ZTE we went into the one at PC World , Team Valley. Got no help from the off-hand remarks from the young woman who talked to us and ended up telling us to buy a Nokia 2.2. We had numerous problems with it and my wife returned to ask for help. The male assistant was trying to work through the problems when the manager interrupted and took over. When my wife tried to explain what was wrong, he shouted her down and began to bombard her with instructions without knowing what the problems were, he also said that a phone can only be returned within fourteen days of purchase whatever the reason. The manager's attitude was condescending and aggressive from the outset. We wrote a detailed letter to Customer Services and are still awaiting so much as an acknowledgement seven months later. Carphone Warehouse are closing their stand alone stores which does not bode well for the future, I would suggest that you look elsewhere for your new mobile.

Bought a phone in the limerick store the phone had a problem after few weeks, rang the store staff called me stupid yes not a spelling mistake stupid, 3 and half weeks trying to get my complaint delt with customer service no help what so ever, was sent a message that my complaint was closed which could not believe as no 1 had contacted me, so as I鈥檓 writing this my phone is still not working and I鈥檝e heard nothing from area manager or any manager or customer service, my advice stay well clear keep your money for professional company as the Carphone Warehouse hide behind they very bad name and do not care once they have got your money awful company worst I鈥檝e came across.

Went to the store in Tallaght in Dublin. Had serious issues with Eir and their customer services and network services. When I went into the staff in carphone warehouse they couldn't have been more helpful. The girl was really friendly and polite and extremely helpful and understanding. They talked me through the best offers on other networks and helped me make up my mind about which network I wanted to change over to. They did everything for me. The only thing I had to do was wait. She made sure all the settings on the phone were correct and working before we left the store. I wish Eir had the staff like this because they lost a customer due to their complete and utter lack of professionalism and help and knowledge of network issues.

Excellent experience today in the store in drogedha retail park unfortunately I didn't get her name I needed to replace a phone but ensure I didn't lose anything on the old one! Sentimental reasons as they say! Problem was old phone wont charge the lovely girl sorted it for me it took 2 hrs to switch everything over she was so amazing thank you hope u see this

Would give no star if possible. Purchased an iPhone in Mullingar and still in warranty. Phone started overheating and switching off with a high pitched sound, which even scared the dog. I brought it back to shop who returned it to Apple. As far as I鈥檓 concerned this phone was faulty and a possible fire hazard. Got a call to say a replacement phone was ready to collect. They gave me a RECONDITIONED phone. I鈥檓 disgusted at getting someone else鈥檚 problem. I鈥檓 going further with this. If this was a TV would I have got a reconditioned TV to replace a faulty purchase?? I think not. Consumer law doesn鈥檛 seem to apply to phone companies.

Recently bought my new phone from Carphone warehouse Tipp Town SC, Cliona looked after me, was informative, knowlegeable and took the time to run me through all of my options. Delighted with the phone and would highly recommend them to anyone!

Terrible customer service – I've bought all my phone's to date directly from my service provider at the time (Tesco mobile, O2 and Vodaphone), and after my experiences with Carphone Warehouse, I would definitely recommend others do this. The salesperson opened the secure tagged on the phone box (I'd asked him not to, so no idea why he did). So when my old phone started working again, the next day I went to return the phone only to find out I can't as the tags had been opened. I explained that they could review camera footage I've he desks to show that the box was opened while I wasn't looking and placed into the bag without myself touching it, as I didn't want the phone to be set up in store. Staff onsite (blanchardstown) were really rude and basically told me too bad! After emailing Carphone Warehouse customer service, it turns out they can help and they can review cameras to prove this, however the process has been so long and frustrating that 1 month later it's still going on. I keep asking when I can get a refund, and how many more steps I have to take to get there, but you don't get clear answers, or you're ignored. The latest step is that I need to go to a store to verify my identity, as the salesperson failed to record my address correctly when I purchased my phone. Never had any issues with any other phone provider, always liked their customer service, so I'm shocked by this.

Shop is great and they do have a lot of options how ever I called into the shop 3 times before I got a staff member that could listen to me and tell me what I needed ok my first visits were around xmass time bn busy time of year and all but still now I went in new year and was lucky to meet a staff member that new how to listen and talk give me few option and recommended best option for me happy days

Although I've always purchased in Carphone Warehouse this experience was by far the best. After buying a new iPhone we had issues with the network trying to activate the new number. All I can say is the staff went above and beyond (where our network failed) to resolve the issue. I was at my wits end dealing with the customer care number and live chat of our network who only seemed to pass the problem each time to someone else. However after returning to Carphone Warehouse they sorted everything for us. Couldn't recommend them enough

My tragedy.
Last friday the inevitable occurred when my trusted 5 year old samsung finally died of old age. Of course just at the wrong time. I visited my favourite carphonewarehouse here in Ashbourne, county meath and the assistants all gathered round and tried their best to resussitate my beloved companion of the last 5 years. But all to no avail. It was necessary to lay her to rest but the assistant immediately popped up one of the follow on models at a reduced price and i was immediately over my loss. And this only took 30 minutes before i was walking out of the shop with a big grin on my face and a new love.

Vote with your feet – stay away from them.

I placed an order with Carphone Warehouse. It was promised on a given date but nothing arrived. I telephoned and I was told that there was some difficulty and it would be received the next day. NOTHING.
Telephone calls to Customer Service have an average wait time of 30 minutes then the phone gets put onto a review service.

I still don't have my order (Transaction reference 421246598) nor any explanation.

My recommendation is to steer well clear of them This is not the first time they have dropped me in the poo.

You know the old saying if it sounds too good to be true it must be the Carphone Warehouse. Miss one payment or be late and they list you on the credit bureau without a mention. This abuse of customers must stop. They should like other good companies send out a notice …at least. BUT-no they don't- straight to the collection agency.
Besides that you can always get a better deal dealing direct with the major players as the network they hawk is extremely poor .

I visited Carphonewarehouse to take back a charger lead that had broken, the lady was quite nasty, she was not English and asked what is wrong with the lead it was broken where is my receipt why have I not got my receipt I throw them away, after a fair amount of being quite nasty she gave me a replacement with a receipt which again broke, I went to the Rosehill Surrey branch where the man said he knew who this lady was the Manageress, I said I don't care who she was not talking to me that like.

Look forward to an apology on her behalf.

I went to the Sutton branch today to enquire if I bought a new Samsung A20e on line from Virgin would they help me set it up as Virgin will not (already complained about Virgin), the man (not English said would charge 拢15). When I get the phone I will go to the Rosehill Surrey branch, these staff members are unbelievably rude at times.
