*Update March 2019*
1) Rather than provide good service, Kimi has threatened to sue if I don't remove my review.
2) After just a few weeks of normal use the stairs started falling apart and became unsafe.
3) We had to pay $10k+ to have the unsafe and amateurish-looking stairs redone from scratch, and to complete the work in the family room that they weren鈥檛 able to complete.
4) To date, we鈥檝e had no apology or even acknowledgement from the owner for the rude behavior of her husband, that they aren鈥檛 able to finish the work that they originally said they could do and accepted a deposit for, that she tried to trick us into paying for work not completed, or interest in discussing the areas of concern in the flooring installed.
5) Every single one of our houseguests complained about the stairs they installed, saying they were unattractive and unsafe. One even refused to use them after going up/down the first time due to concerns about safety.
6) The owner has now decided to abuse her position as admin of the Ladies of Fuquay Varina Facebook group and has blocked my wife in retribution for the negative Google review.

TLDR; This company overpromises and underdelivers, has a pattern of lies and deceptive behavior, and accepts payment for work they鈥檙e not able to complete. The owner is rude, unprofessional, and has a temper with both his employees and customers. The project was delayed at the last minute by two weeks. They refuse to even acknowledge their mistakes, and even tried to trick us into paying for the work they're unable to complete. Don鈥檛 make the same mistake as us by hiring this company.
We hired this company to install hard surface flooring in our house, a $12k total project. It started off poorly; they called us the day before starting to say that the materials hasn鈥檛 arrived yet, and that their starting date would be delayed by two weeks. This was an issue as we鈥檇 scheduled our entire busy December, including an already paid for vacation, around the installation dates they鈥檇 originally given us. This also meant they鈥檇 be installing it right before Christmas, when we guests staying with us, causing more disruption. We let it go w/o saying anything, and just worked around their new schedule. It isn鈥檛 so much that there was a delay (someone forget to order the materials?) but that they didn鈥檛 bother telling us until the last moment.
During the 5 day installation, the owner was constantly yelling at his employees, which made things uncomfortable for our family and visitors.
Only after we鈥檇 paid the 50% deposit and they鈥檇 done most of the work the owner said he couldn鈥檛 do part of it the contracted work. I tried to discuss options, but he stormed out of the house and cursed at us. My wife, our visiting houseguests, and I were left standing there in shock at his behavior.
Someone from the office called and said they weren鈥檛 sure if it could be done. None of this was mentioned to us from the start, or when they accepted the deposit, or when they started the work.
Another contractor who also installs flooring and was there earlier during the project, made numerous remarks about workmanship quality issues in their work. There were gaps, damaged trim, no pad, etc. Since the owner stormed out in a tantrum, I didn鈥檛 have a chance to bring them up.
What gets me is we bought the flooring they suggested. If that flooring wasn鈥檛 good for stairs or the family room, they should have suggested something else.
Next day,Kimi insisted the work was finished & we need to pay the remaining amount ASAP. It blows my mind how she could possibly insist we pay for work they aren鈥檛 able to complete. I told her that we鈥檇 be happy to pay for the work that was completed and for the materials that were used. While eventually she did send a new invoice, to date she has neither acknowledged nor apologized for their mistakes, stating that the work was done during the agreed timeframe (it wasn鈥檛), that it was complete (it wasn鈥檛), and that her husband cursed at me in my home in front of my wife and our houseguests.
