We received a call from Jay Kumar on Friday 9/23 alerting that the rugs were ready. We picked them up on Saturday 9/24. We installed the living room rug on that day and were satisfied with it. On Monday we installed the two other rugs and both of them were damaged. We immediately contacted Jay Kumar on Monday 9/26 and he said to bring the 2 damaged rugs into his store. This was poor service in that the rugs should have been inspected before they were released and surely they should have come to our home to pick them up.
We arrived at the Pineville store with the 2 damaged rugs and we laid them on the floor to show him the damages. He immediately said that the colors of the 2 rugs didn't match and that we could return the two plus the mat for a refund or that he would take the 3 rugs and 3 mat back for a full refund. We pointed out the other problems with the damages on both rugs. He then got involved with another customer and when he returned to us, he totally changed his mind saying that the colors matched, even though the backing to those 2 rugs didn't match and couldn't have come from the same bolt and that all that he would do is to repair them. We bought new carpeting and weren't interested in a repair. So Jay Kumar knowingly lied about agreeing to a refund for the damaged carpets. He then got very rude and said that we should leave his store. He embarrassed both my wife and myself in front of other customers. We were shocked and other potential customers should stay clear of doing business with him or his company.

Saturday 9/12 we visited the Carper & Flooring Liquidators, at 931 > Polk St. Pineville. My wife and I were shopping for a area rug for our living room. Jay Kumar waited on us and we decided to have 3 round rugs cut out of a 13'.2" x 16'.10" Kane carpet at a price of $499 plus labor for the cutting and binding 3 round rugs plus 3 rug mats. When you buy multiple elements in a sale you expect to see them priced separately but this is one way that a customer can be "scammed/taken" and we were. We settled for a total price of $1,350 with no delivery. Also when he made the original sale he knowingly lied about the price of the mats, saying initially that they were $50 each and then saying they were $100 each to justify his total price of $1,350.
