l have used most of the car hire companies in Italy and in Spain with the normal frustration that everyone else gets But thankfully in Spain the problem.is solved Cargest..Fantastic service no hard sell great staff great cars.These will hopefully run the cowboys out of business, the holiday starts on a great note rather than a massive argument about access insurance.highly recommended. Thank you Cargest

Rented a car at Malaga Airport. Here is an overview of my experience. I should mention that I was very worried and therefore careful beforehand, since reviews say that many car-rental companies tried to rip them off.

Pros:
– We were picked up on time
– No one tried to sell any extras
– Office was opened 45 minutes before official opening time
when returning the car (so we didn't need to rush at the airport)
– Everyone spoke decent English and was friendly

Cons:
– Had to pay 鈧?0 in advance in case we get a parking ticket or
something like that during our trip. Not necessarily Cargest's fault,
since I think it should have been mentioned on the booking site
(car was booked through a different site)
– The 鈧?0 were supposed to be refunded after four weeks. It took
them six weeks.
– I was told that I get a Honda Jazz or similar car. I got a Nissan
Micra which is not as good in my opinion but still decent
– Car was cleaned with some strange smelling stuff which was also
very sticky. Had to clean the steering wheel with a wet tissue.

There were obviously no real problems. After reading all the nightmare stories other people had with their rental services, I can only recommend Cargest. In the end we paid around 鈧?60 (including petrol + 鈧?0 for an extra insurance offered by the booking site) and drove the car for almost 1000km. I think that's quite good value.

Awful, awful, awful. I booked a set of golf clubs with Cargest. I arrived at Malaga Airport today and there was nothing on the confirmation document that told me where to go to pick up the clubs. After a tour of all the car hire companies I called Cargest and they sent a bus. When I got there and asked how I was supposed to know where to go, they actually agreed that no information was given on the confirmation. They then brought my clubs which wasn鈥檛 what I ordered. By now I was more than a little cross and informed them that I would give them a bad review on social media. They then said that if I was going to do that then they wouldn鈥檛 supply the clubs, even though I had confirmation from them of contract agreement!!! So I spent the best part of two hours achieving nothing. I will be 70 later this year and this is the worst rental experience I have ever had in my life by a very long way. The manager hid in his office all the time and refused to come out and speak to me. My advice is to avoid Cargest like the plague.

Hired many a car in Spain and Italy and always got the nightmare experience, hidden charges, not accepting my private collision insurance etc, but finally found a good honest company, picked up from Malaga airport for the 5 min trip to their office, next door to Marbasol office, we won't go there!!! Excellent staff, free upgrade from Seat to BMW full to full fuel, 300 euro block on the card, returned car no problems and in booking again later on in the year THANK YOU CARGEST

Good value car hire, used them at Malaga Airport, no pressure to buy extra insurance etc when you're picking up the car. Hired a BMW X1 for cheaper than all the major rental companies.

The very opposite of 'cowboys' – reliable, relatively cheap and no rip off in sight (including with fuel). Of all the problems you can have going abroad, this isn't one of them! Their prices seem to have risen lately – will still go with them, but (if they're reading this) my loyalty isn't limitless!

WALK AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!
I would NOT recommend this place to anyone who needs a care free car hire. The cheap prices are purely a tourist trap. If it鈥檚 too good to be true, it probably is!
We ended here via a Dutch broker. It鈥檚 a small local company with only one branch at Malaga airport. If you need another car because of a collision or simply because of a mechanical defect, you must travel back to Malaga airport from wherever you are on your own expense to pick up a second car. We had to do that with luggage and 3 small children. After we complained via e-mail the Dutch broker sent us flowers with apologies. But the rude and shameless local manager of CarGest sent us a abusing e-mail back calling us not being good parents!!!

Picked our car up at malaga airport and found Cargest to be a very good company to deal with. The whole procedure was straightforward and the staff we encountered were excellent. Would not hesitate to use them again.

Where do I start, rented a Kia, on the third day was involved in a hit and run accident, managed to obtain details of the offending vehicle. Which were given to Cargest. ( later they denied they had the details)
We took photos of the damage, and next day drove to Cargest, for them to inspect the damage.
They gave us the all clear to carry on using the vehicle. Returned the vehicle at the end of the holiday, I asked the representive " what happens now and is there a cost to me"? He replied " no insurance will cover it "
About 4 weeks later, Cargest had taken from my Credit Card 拢450, for damage to headlight. Their photos taken 5 weeks after we had flown home, showing slight scuff marks to the headlight. They said any damage to a light on a rental car in Spain is illegal, so why did they allow us to carry on driving, and say it would be covered by insurance. I sent them our photo which shows NO damage whatsoever to the headlight.
And their agreement clearly states ( In English ) Not covered by insurance is Tyres and off road accidents..
Cargest reply " We have the car"
There was no damage at all to the headlight, when we returned the car.
STAY WELL CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY.
Update 28/07/2017.
Just checked my Credit Card statement, they have now taken a second payment for 400 eurs, without any warning, or why they have taken it,
Credit card company dealing with both payments. My card has been cancelled.
I SAY AGAIN DONT USE THIS COMPANY.

From my Credit Card Company, money being refunded from Cargest.
Who said they should never have taken it in the first place.
But still waiting for the second amount to be refunded.
Credit Card Company say they just cant take money without first telling you why, but they did. watch this space.
STAY CLEAR YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

We have used cargest for years. Good prices and great service every time. We wouldn't go anywhere else.
