NEEDED SOME THINGS DONE TO MY VEHICLE. BOUGHT A BRAND NEW RADIO AND SPEAKERS AS WELL AS AN ALARM SYSTEM FOR MY TRUCK. I NEEDED EXTRA ALARMS AND DUE TO COVID-19 I NEVER RECEIVED THEM UNTIL AFTER MONTHS LATER. MANAGER JOCK SMITH, REORDERD THEM AND MADE SURE THAT I RECEIVED THEM WHILE MAKING SURE THAT THEY WERE PROGRAMMED AND READY TO GO. FOR WHATEVER REASON MY RADIO SYSTEM KEPT JUMPING OFF OF WIFI AND HE AND HIS TEAM GOT ME BACK ON TRACK WITH THAT TOO. THEIR FAST AND FRIENDLY SERVICE WAS AWESOME. I WILL ALWAYS BUY MY CAR ACCESSORY NEEDS FROM THEM. THEY ARE EXCELLENT PEOPLE TO DO SERVICE WITH!

I had a fine experience them with My 2000 Cadillac Deville getting my sub and amp installed. Well I had them switch it into my Chevy Malibu LT 2018. After about ten minutes the sub would cut off. If I accelerated from a stop light hard it would go off, if I switched to blu tooth, it would shut off. I took it to them and they said, of course, we cannot recreate the problem. So I drove it there when it happened and left the car on. He took the AMP out of protect mode and said, you just listen to your music too loud. It stopped working again. I finally had a friend look at it with me. They did not scrape all the paint from the spot where they connected the ground wire. You could see evidence that it had been sparking. They did a really shoddy wire job and then never re-examined their work, they just thought I was a kid listening to his music too loud. I am 30 years old…

Been looking a remote start system for my 2000, Ford Taurus. Though I finally found one I could afford from Car Toy's, internet site which had a Compustar 925S on sale for $219.96, (the regular price was $299.99). Standard installation at a local store was included. The site did say that some vehicles might require a "bypass or door lock modular" for an additional $69.95, which I knew my car would require. Prior to ordering this I called the local store to see about setting up an appointment f or the installation. I was told that I would have to bring in the vehicle so they could take a look at it before making an appointment, which I found hard to understand as I believed they should basically know what kind of electrical system a common car would have, but did take my vehicle for them to look at. Once I got to the store I showed the salesman a print out from the Car Toys web site showing him the price and items I was going to order. They didn't even go out and look at my vehicle, after telling me they needed to see the vehicle. Then they told me it would be just over $600 for the unit and installation. I had previous quotes from other dealer's in the area which were for a little over $300, but thought I could save a little over $50 getting this one that was on sale. STAY AWAY from Car Toys; they just want to get you in the store and see how much they can try and get out of you. I told them I would no way pay $600 for this and left.

Installation was professional
Snap finance is the worst. Be aware
No interest rate. If not paid off in 100 days. Plan on paying over double the purchase price in 1 year. Read the entire thing before signing. Better yet. DONT USE SNAP FINANCE.

Approx. 3 months ago I purchased Kenwood's next to top of the line double din audio system from Car Toys Willowbrook for my 2008 Corvette. I initially hesitated because I thought it to be pricey. I decided to go ahead and pull the trigger. First Elijah took a considerable amount of time educating me on exactly what I was purchasing 'cause I had a thousand questions. Tim the installer explained what was involved in the installation and did a first class job. It looks like a factory unit perfectly installed with not a scratch on my console. Then Pedro sat in my ride with me and helped me learn the basics of how this unit works and also walked me through getting set up with Sirius. It works just like the factory unit but sounds oh so much nicer. As time passed I learned all the nuances of adjusting the radio settings to my liking. This unit plays connoisseur grade audio and I am truly happy with the way you guys treated my baby and I won't hesitate to recommend your services. You get what you pay for!! Thanks gentlemen.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO CAR TOYS!! I took my 2016 MB to cartoys to install a illuminated star (front grill). I asked the tech "have you done these before" – He responded .. Yes, about 6-7 of them. Well… apparently he hooked it up to the Engine Network Fuse and improperly grounded to A/C line bracket! I had to take it to the dealer and it's cost my $300 to have it wired correctly. What a mess. I should have taken it to the dealer in the 1st place. Lesson learned.

My review of CAR TOYS FEDERAL WAY. It will be long winded but should serve as a WARNING to anyone considering their services. The facts. Yes I bought and installed a Ford specific aftermarket plug and play head unit into my truck. It went in well and works great. I was not up to installing the back up camera on my own. I decided to pay to have the "professionals" do it. I went to the CAR TOYS FEDERAL WAY store to have my camera installed. I was told that they could do it in 1.50 hours but at a hefty cost of $300.00 bucks. After some thought I agreed since the main reason I bought a new head unit was for the camera. Hours passed. I was dodged by every employee as I approached them for updates. When I actually pinned one down I was told another 10-15 minutes. Eight hours later I was told my truck was ready. I was thinking cool. It was long and expensive but mission accomplished. I was only fooling myself. I got home and the camera did not work the very first time I used it. Oddly it became functional for two weeks before it met its death. I made another trip to CAR TOYS FEDERAL WAY but had to make yet another appointment to have it fixed. Well after another 1.50 hours waiting the kid came to talk to me. Here's how it goes. "You're all finished. I found two cut wires and soldered them back together (pics will show their suicide) but was not able to get the camera to work. unfortunately since you supplied the camera we are not able to warranty our work." Well that's VERY convenient considering CAR TOYS FEDERAL WAY agreed to do the work with mention of this minor formality. I decided to contact them and discovered their FB page. After complaining here's what I got. "Car Toys It's upsetting to hear that you did not receive the top-notch service we strive to provide. We would like to have a better understanding about your experience. Please reach out to us at [email protected] at your earliest convenience and we will do our best to resolve this with you. Please be sure to include your phone number so we may contact you directly. Thank you." Great public PR comment but they obviously are not interested in resolving their issue. I've heard NOTHING back from the. I decided to check the functionality of my camera and their installation. I purchased a new camera just to verify whether the first camera went bad or if CAR TOYS FEDERAL WAY did a bad installation. WOW, The new camera does not work. They stand by their work, so I'll include some pictures that they will surely be proud of. I'm no expert but they ran the wires through the tail gate torsion assist. Yep that looks like a wire guillotine. "A BETTER WAY TO GO" is far-far away from CAR TOYS FEDERAL WAY! Step it up CAR TOYS FEDERAL WAY. You're up, another public PR comment, or real action?

Jordan and his crew at Car Toys, Spokane provided knowledgable options for a new car stereo/CD player, and then they installed the same while I waited. All of this happening during the holiday season when everyone is usually busy and cranky! Just the opposite happened at the store and I am quite pleased with the result.

I had a very pleasant experience with Car Toys having them install the steering wheel controls for my Sequoia. Their prices were fair enough for a brick and mortar shop and the quality of the installation was top notch that Clay provided. I asked to inspect the wiring before they system was buttoned up. All connections were nicely crimped and zip tied neatly. Don took the time to show me other features of my system and I will be doing more business with them again.

I've never had a more terrible more offensive more absolutely lazy unaccountable experience in my life. These people didn't install the unit correctly in the first place and after the six time of bringing it in because it kept trying to reset its self I found out that they hadn't even logged any of the phone calls any of the visits where they supposedly fixed it. Nothing at all. I got into two accidents while having the drone God dash cam installed and neither one were record because the unit was not working correctly. Unbelievable. Don't ever go to car toys I spent three thousand dollars for nothing.

I had Car Toys put in my stereo and rear view camera for my Dodge Truck.
I paid $400 for service and quality of work that was far below what I paid.
I had to go to another stereo installation business to find out a relay was
needed so the stereo could work properly. Car Toys took the cheapest route
to wire in the stereo and by doing so made the stereo work improperly. They don't
deserve a star but had to put in one star to submit a review

Open box special, a pioneer Top-O-Line in dash with backup cam for the wife. Great deal. Great service. Great install. Volume control did not last even 2 lousy, stinking hours? Volume up works fine, but then it lowers volume back down to ZERO on its own????
I have had 2 dealings, purchases from Car Toys in the past and there were NO PROBLEMS or SCAMS what so ever. Now the Colorado Springs CO, north Academy Car Toys store is out to destroy their integrity. How sad.
A fix is due in the next few days. Hope it works?????????????

CarToys at El Dorado Blvd Friendswood TX – DO NOT USE THEIR "SERVICES". They do not render the services they charge you for. Go to a local car wash detail service. Everyone at this location and upper management are rude thieves. The personnel will use your car's charger to dry the inside of your car, they leave your vehicle running for hours and only perform a cleaning a child could do. They lie, steal and blow your car's computer system. The rating I want to give is not available. They are a ZERO. You have been warned. DO NOT USE CarToys. Unprofessional ignorant thieves.

In latter September, I purchased a 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe intended to accommodate various HAM radio support functions I鈥檓 involved in. I installed a second battery along with the wires needed to mount a HAM radio under the back seat, but was leery about running the wires myself, as I鈥檝e not had sufficient experience in doing such work. At this point I need to make it clear that I鈥檝e used the vehicle for a few weeks, and have had ample time to make sure that pretty much everything is in good working order. On October 2nd, I went to a meeting to discuss a recent success in supporting a 100 mile marathon. Prior to the meeting, I stopped by Car Toys on SE 82nd Ave in Portland and initially talked to Parke Arnold, one of their sales people, to find out how much it would cost to have them run the wires for me. The tech explained that rather than try to run them through the firewall, and down under the center console, it would be easier and just as clean to run them along the doors. I was quoted $65.00 for labor and $6.50 for parts to complete the job, and it would take about an hour.
As I live a considerable distance from the SE 82nd Ave store, I decided to go to the closer store at 12195 SW Canyon Rd in Beaverton. I drove down on October 3rd to have the installation completed. The person I talked to told me it would cost $93.00 an hour for a little over an hour to complete the job. I mentioned that I鈥檇 had a quote from the SE 82nd Ave store for $71.50 for the complete job. The salesperson seemed a little uncomfortable, and talked to an installer, then told me he would talk to the manager. We agreed on a total installation cost of $75.00. I wasn鈥檛 as comfortable with the installers at this store, as they seemed a little unsure of the time it would take, but decided to have them do it anyway as I was going to need the vehicle to provide support for another marathon.
The installation seemed to go well, and later that day I completed the installation and setup of the HAM radio I purchased to install in the vehicle. The following day (Sunday) I got up early to get to my support location on time. When I arrived at my location, I went to turn the headlights off, and to my surprise, the knob had been pressed into the dash to the point where I could not easily turn the headlights off. I had to pull the knob out in order to turn it and turn the headlights off (keep in mind that the headlight switch is right next to the area where the wires would have been pulled through the firewall). As I鈥檝e had to perform the same task several times on the previous marathon support, I know for a fact that the light switch was in good working order prior to having the wires run.
I took the vehicle back to the Canyon Rd store to ask what could be done about the issue. An installation technician came out to look at it with a salesman and immediately told me that it could not possibly have been the installers as they would not have worked around the switch. I mentioned that they would have had to get under the dash right next to it in order to get the wires through. He still insisted that they could not have been responsible for the damage. I went back into the store to discuss the issue with the manager, and was told he was in the bathroom and would be available shortly. I was asked for the invoice, and provided it. The salesperson stapled the cards of the installation manager and assistant store manager to my invoice and told me that one or the other of them would call me that day (two days ago). I鈥檝e not heard anything back, and at this point I鈥檓 not sure that I will. It would seem that the management is taking the word of the installers over me, which I don鈥檛 think is very good customer service. I will wait a few more days and see if I am contacted before trying anything. In the meantime, it would seem appropriate to publicize the facts of this case.

Worst experience ever! I made a appointment for my new deck and front speaker, in my 2008 hyundai accent.( show up 9 mins early had receipt and was ready to go) i left to go home to wait for a call when my car would be done, 2hrs later no call, so I call the Everett cartoys up to see where they were at, the guy on the phone tells me that they are just pulling my car into the shop to get started on and it might be another 2 hours lol. I'm never going back to cartoys. Also cartoys likes to nickle and dime you on everything, instead of just having a flat rate fee for installion, but that would be to reasonable, and easy. Cartoys is not the better way to go!

Watch out, these guys are seriously dishonest! I had a CD/radio receiver installed on my car. They were busy, but told me they would have it done by 1pm. It wasn't done until after 4pm. They told me they had all the parts and I paid for what I thought was "the sale price". I was told the Bose speaker harness I wanted wasn't needed and they could do it with another harness that was "cheaper". Halfway through waiting, my little daughter needed to go home for her nap, and my husband came by. We switched cars, and he waited for me while I went home. My husband questioned the price, which was over $100 than he had been quoted a few days before. Turns out Car Toys jacks the price of their products way up before a sale, and you end up really paying more than if it wasn't on sale. Also, the jerk salesmen told my husband that I had asked for the more expensive harness (it wasn't really cheaper after all, it was MORE expensive) and claimed he had explained this all to me, and I ok'd it. Total lie. To top it all off, the install guy scratched the paint on the top of my car during the install. The top of my car was perfect, and now there's a big swirly scratch it the paint. Do NOT go to these guys, they suck.

What a rip off. Charged me over $200 in unexplained fees on top of the installation charges. Charged for new brackets when the new speakers came with brackets and they were the same size and style speakers as what came out any way so they weren't needed. The deck and speakers that they installed was $300 they carged $400 for the installation totaling at $700. I will never shop there again!!!

Car Toys warning do not buy from these people! If you want low prices you sacrifice customer service unfortunately there is no way around it car toys could care less about what a customer means in the long run they just want your money now and don't care if you ever purchase from them in future which I will never do again. There sales reps will out and out lie to get you to buy from them straight up lie. I was sold a phone girl says oh we have this great replacement coverage if anything happens your phone will be covered just bring it back and we will swap it out. Lie you can't bring it back they have you call India and you have to mail it in. Ok fine but that;s it right? Nothing I have to do just send it in right? Yes that's it, another lie, turns out there is a 125 dollar deductible so after blowing up at the answering service for these lies I say whatever i need my phone so I have to pay it, well there system is down so they can't take my credit card, so they have to call me back, on a phone I can't answer calls on but they don't care, they got my money in first place who cares if I'm happy now. Lying to get the sale only cost you customers when they figure out they have been had.

Car toys are the worst when it comes to ethics and business conduct/ Practice. they cheat, promise you with best service and they are on the other side of that! If you do not agree with them and accept their mistakes , they humiliate you and prove you wrong no matter what evidence you have. they will never refund you your full money, In case if they accepted to cancel the deal!!!
