Car Computer Exchange

I originally paid for a computer exchange in January of 2020. I received the replacement within a few days. After having it installed, and paying to have the vehicle re-keyed, the mechanic found that the replacement had not been programmed correctly, one of the functions was missing.
Brian, the owner told me that this was something that happened "Very rarely", the function in question he said "…was not picked up..".
We sent the replacement back to them and we heard nothing for weeks.
At one point Brian hung up the phone when I asked about why it was taking so long. He did not return phone calls after we left messages, we were put on hold for long periods only to then be put into the VM, and only to have him not return a call or answer a message.
We eventually got our attorney's involved (We are going to pursue legal action), and after got a call from someone saying they were from the technical department. That person said that the first exchange they had sent was't the right one and couldn't be re-programmed for my vehicle. He said it was going to take a while to find one that would work…
We later found that the person posing as the technical department was Brian, who never identified himself as the owner until months later.
When we finally got a second computer, it was installed, again by a licensed mechanic. The keys had to be re-keyed again for the second computer, but it still didn't start the car. The car had to be towed twice, first to a master automotive locksmith who re-keyed again, still car would not start, it was then towed to the Dealer who said that the computer we were provided was "Pure sh**". After their evaluation, tests and analysis the car was re-keyed and started, only to find that the computer was not programed to turn on the compressor for the AC.
All in all it has taken nearly six months to get the car back up and functioning albeit we will have to have to have it re-programed again so that the AC works, at the end of the day Car Computer Exchange, Brian in particular lied repeatedly, never responded to our attorney's, refused to cover any of the cost of re-keying the car, posed as a tech and never identified himself until two months later, was unapologetic for the fact that I could neither register, nor use my vehicle for six months, didn't express one iota of common courtesy or human decency, or customer service, or integrity or anything but disdain and a complete lack of concern for the impact of his incompetence on me or on my business. All in all it has cost nearly $2,000 for installing, towing, keying, re-keying, troubleshooting etc. etc. and as mentioned the AC compressor will not turn on though it is brand new and works when it receives direct power, all of the modules & electrical have been checked, and two certified mechanics have confirmed that the computer was not programmed correctly.
Brian and his office staff are great before you purchase, but the moment they have your money they don't give a **** about you, about your vehicle or about the quality of the work they do. Sure, if you're one of the lucky ones and get a correctly programmed unit, that's great, but you are playing computer roulette, and be warned they know most of their customers are from far away and won't sue, or take action, look online as I did too late and you'll see many stories just like my own, if you do business with them or talk to them remind them that we'll see them in court!

Don't buy here, it's a Scam!
They send out faulty computers and it seems as if they know it!.
If you return it, they will charge you a 25% processing fee and $50 programming fee so that they still make money without even supplying a product, you will pay at least $100 for nothing.
It's like dealing with a 3rd world company, not an honorable company in the USA!
If you click check their reviews on their web page, it filters out so that it only shows 5 star reviews… Very Shady Company!
I was finally able to get my full refund after a bunch of emails when Mike asked me to change my review on Google.
Do Not Trust This Company at all!

Scam!!!! Painted junk so you return and they screw you out of half the money. No customer service on the phone other then an idiot telling you to email them, which they never return the emails. DO NOT waste your money, I'll sell you a painted one and kick you in the nuts… way cheaper and same result. I would give zero stars if available and turned into BBB. Lucky for them I don't live in India, I mean North Carolina….

I purchased a PCM from this company stating the unit was 鈥渞ebuilt鈥? I received the unit which was NOT rebuilt and was repaired incorrectly. The unit was cut open and the repair was invalid. The casing was spray painted to look new and the unit was not 鈥渦pdated鈥?as promised. It was a used unit that was painted and sold as rebuilt. The terminals were dirty and the unit was completely faulty. Called multiple times stating issue and was given a hard time by the representative on the phone, as well as hung up on, mid conversation. Did not receive the full refund that was promised either after requesting one. Communication with these people was awful and their products are not rebuilt. False information stated on website and awful customer service. Would not recommend this company to anyone.

Selling bad parts and not refunding..scam artist

I bought a computer for my 95 mustang and they not only sent me a bad part that was in horrific condition(broken casing and filled with dirt) and only spray painted, but it wasnt even for the right year model..never even put it in my car because upon looking at it i was afraid i had just been rip'd off..to make a long story short they will tell you to send it back and they will refund it..well there is a scam artist named ashley that plays as a call center employee and another scam artist named brian( if thats even there real names honestly). They will give you the run around and in the end after its all said and done they will tell you straight up that you arent getting the money back…too many people are being jipped by these con artist and they should be in jail for a number of charges..after i get done with this report im contacting the attorney general for north carolina as ive seen others are doing against these same individuals that ive listed in the complaint just written..save yourself the hassle and just go to o rielys or autozone..

ATTENTION!!! DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY! SCAM! SCAM! SCAM! PLEASE READ BELLOW.
Around May 15, 2017 the "Check Engine" light of my 1999 Mercedes E320 turned ON. I ran diagnostics and it showed P0135, P0155, P0141 and P0161 codes – each one for the 4 Oxygen sensors of the car – O2 sensor heater circuit error. The car was starting and running fine, just like before, but obviously needed to have the problem corrected. I replaced all 4 O2 sensors with new ones, but the "Check Engine" lights was still on and the same error codes appeared upon diagnostics. At this point I checked the signals from the Engine Control Unit (the computer) to the Oxygen sensors. While the +12V signal to the Heater circuits of the sensors was present, the "ground" signals from the computer were missing and that indicated possible problem with the ECU. I looked up the internet for ECU related repair services and Car Computer Exchange was one of the first on the list. They advertise ECU repairs for the price of #299.00. The following is a cut and paste fragment from their web page:
All Car Computer Exchange Modules are Plug-and-Play. Each module is pre-programmed to your cars VIN and compatible with all motor sizes, transmissions, and emission types.
Around June 01, 2017, I called the provided phone number and explained my problem and what have I done. I was assured that they can repair my ECU and was instructed to pay the $299.00 + shipping and send the ECU to them. On June 05,2017 I paid the amount asked through their web site and then sent the ECU to their address – 481 James Jackson Ave. Cary, NC 27513. Couple of weeks passed and since I didn't hear anything from Car Computer Exchange, around June 20-th,I called to get status update of the order. The Order ID is: 170605-151541-9838. I was told that they attempted to repair/reprogram the ECU, but it was still bad and that they will try once again. I called again in a week and was told that the unit can not be repaired. I asked them to send it back since my car was running just fine with it. The employee told me that I will be charger $150.00 service fee for the work that they have done. I objected, because they didn't do what they promised, but had no choice – my account was already charged $318.95. In few days, when the unit arrived, I installed it back in the car and to my greatest surprise the engine would not crank or start. I called CCE again around July 05-th and complained that my engine will not start at all and that they have damaged the ECU. The answer was that I will get a partial refund. So I did get a refund of about $160.00 and the bottom line was – 1. I paid $150.00 to CCE and 2. I have no longer running car and can't even drive it to repair facility. I called CCE again around July 27-th, 2017 and asked to speak to a manager. A technician called me back and told me that the engine will not start because the ECU needs to be programed and only a Mercedes dealer or qualified locksmith can do that. He also told me that any time the ECU is disconnected from the car, it needs to be programmed and that they haven't done anything bad to the ECU. Here I will cite again their web page advertisement – All Car Computer Exchange Modules are Plug-and-Play!!! So thanks to CCE I have no longer working car, it is just sitting on my driveway for 2 months now. On top of that I paid $150.00 My only option now is to have the car towed to Mercedes dealer and fixed there for the price of about $4,000.00 which is more than the car is worth.
Dealing with Car Computer Exchange is nightmare. Please consider again before you get involved. You will regret it.

NOT RETURNING MY MONEY IN FULL ALSO SALE NON WORKING PARTS

I recently ordered a part from Car computer exchange Feb 23rd of 2016 I gave them my vin number and my car type they stated they had my part and sent my part out. Once installed by Chrysler dealership I was informed the part was no good and also that it was the wrong part.So i decided to call them to inform them about their part they stated they sent out the right part and proceeded to have an attitude with me and refuse to give me back my full refund. So i decided to look into their reviews and noticed a lot of people having the same issue too many to be exact. Please address this company this company. The bad part is the Owner used profanity towards my husband.
