Is anyone else being scammed by this 'company'? I got caught up in this upon being forced into the Healthcare Marketplace. $100 deducted from my bank account…called them right away, was told it was a "one time fee" associated with the Marketplace. Well, that "one time fee" continued each month, so, I called again. This time I was told that they are providing me with discounts on my prescriptions. I don't understand this Marketplace nonsense so, yeah, whatever….Now, I'm starting Medicare on December 1st….got a letter from Marketplace regarding applying for 2019; called them, spoke to a Brenda Garcia; informed her of the changes in my status; requested cancellation of the $100 fee; was assured that plan would be cancelled as of November 30, 2018….last premium would be taken in October covering to the end of November. Guess what…$100 deducted AGAIN on November 7th. Called Marketplace AGAIN; this time they have no clue who Cap Extra Care is, they are not affiliated with Marketplace; Finally found a phone number for Cap Extra Care….now they say they are affiliated with my insurance and provide the prescription coverage. Anyway, got them to agree to refund the November 7th deduction. Called Blue Cross Blue Shield this morning…NOPE, they ARE NOT IN ANY WAY AFFILIATED WITH CAP EXTRA CARE. Jasmine, who provides excellent customer service and has helped me with any questions I have ever had regarding Blue Cross Blue Shield, is notifying the legal department to open an investigation into Cap Extra Care. ANYWAY….called Cap Extra Care AGAIN…explained that I have confirmed that they are misrepresenting themselves and basically scamming people….NOW, they 'are authorized' to refund 120 days (4 months) of these withdrawals and they will 'contact the Marketplace' to begin an 'acceleration' process to refund ALL MY MONEY! We'll see….anyway, I'm putting this out here to hopefully encourage anyone else who might have gotten caught up in this scam. Good luck!! Maybe I'm the only idiot who was caught in this scam, but please check your bank statements!!
