Canon

I bought a product from the Canon Shop (canon.co.uk).
They sent me tracking information but it turns out that it never actually shipped from their warehouse. When it never arrived I contacted Canon three times and they spent days saying they would trace where it was. Eventually, I said it was time to just send me out another one they told me that they couldn't, all they could do was refund me for the original. Needless to say the product had by this time gone up.
And to cap it all I've just had to file a claim with my credit card company for a refund.

Not what I expected from a reputable manufacturer's store. But now I know I won't use them again.

I bought a Canon EOS Rebel T100, used it for about 4 months, then it stopped working. I sent it to canon for repair, they sent it back saying its fixed. I tested it and tried it but it still has the exact same problem as it did before i sent it. Piece of S**T company. What a joke

Shoddy products, non-existent customer service. Online tools don't work, cannot get a customer service rep on the phone. The worst.

Would give no stars if I could. After 30 minutes of life wasted trying to get a defective 2 month old Pixma printer replaced I was sent a crappy link explaining how I must post this printer at my cost to their sole repair agent in the uk. Seriously Miffed ! I own other canon printers and a canon digital slr. I wrongly assumed they were a reputable brand. I was wrong. I shall never part with a penny of my money on this fail of a company again. Im throwing the printer in the bin rather than wasting my time returning it. BUYER BEWARE. CHARLATAN FIRM.

Purchased TS5050 9 months ago after using Epsom Printers for years and getting more and more frustrated with them. The Canon was slightly dearer but with a better build and better acceptance of non-Canon ink cartridges.
The printer has not missed a beat so far and I use it daily to print in excess of 20 pages. To my mind better than any Epsom printer I have previously owned to date.

I was sent the wrong PGBK black ink toner by Canon Store. I had to return the goods before they could action a replacement. After waiting for well over week and they had no date of when I would receive it. I informed them that I wanted a refund.

This is when all of a sudden Christine Gryparis
Canon Services & Support wasn't so quick on her responses to me.

I called the next day to make sure my refund was being processed. They stated there is an internal process for it but I will receive my refund. All of a sudden the cartridge was being shipped and did I still want it.

Absolutely not was my response as I have already had to go elsewhere to purchase another one. Today they have stated that I have to receive the goods and then refuse the delivery. Then it will be returned to their departments and will then get a refund.

This is a global company that is not fit for purpose and will be the first and last time I use to purchase ink cartridges. Absolutely disgusting. This nonsense has been going on since 30 October 2020.

AVOID.

Exactly as stated on numerous reviews – works OK for a while (but the wifi print never worked even with hugely fast fibre) … and then gradually requires repeated restarts, disconnections etc. Then developed a routine of failing to connect to desktop, making it unusable. Never again – and that includes ANY Canon products.

Canon M6 Mark II

Bought this camera the other day direct from the lovely guys at Canon UK. Canon is in my opinion the brand leader. I beautifully designed camera, light, robust and cost effective to boot. Despite the current Covid 19 difficulties, the Canon team still manage to roll out prompt and excellent customer service. I am delighted with this wonderful purchase and recommend it whole-heartedly!

I have been a loyal customer of canon for years…each time a printer breaks I purchase a new canon because their customer service has been so wonderful. NOT SO anymore. I just tried to call them and it said my phone number is no longer registered…after several attempts I tried to re-register the printer. I am old and truly cannot remember who I purchased this printer from…maybe best buy or canon…I dont have the date…but I finally was able to figure out the serial number and then started the process all over again as I couldn't get ba k to that question. Now I am on hold (it says for 25 minutes) and dont even know if I will talk to anyone.

CANON you have just lost my business…In this high tech world customers need help and canon keeps expecting more out of the customers…ALL I need is a printer….I dont use the internet…I print email and letters and just need a printer…I know they helped me to register the printer when I purchased it but now they have LOST MY INFORMAION…

So…dont buy this printer…there is no customer service…unless a 25 minute wait works for you….when I call it asks what my product is…when I say "pixma tr8520" it says "call back when you know what your product is"…so their answering thing doesn't hear or understand people…It took over 3 tries to even get it to understand pixma… but if this kind of service is what you want by all means purchase a CANON printer…

oh yes, the reason I am calling is that there is a plastic piece that goes over the paper tray and I cannot seem to get it to click in….it is a plastic piece of junk…

the damn thing just decides when to use the upper or lower tray…and no one has been able to help me figure out how to just use the lower tray. I only want to print on plain white paper…no photos or anything exotic….

They just lost a very loyal customer!!

I have a brand new Canon ip8750 bought direct from Canon website a few months ago. Has been used handful number of times and has already broke! Contacted customer care to be told that I need to take it to the local Canon repair centre. All that been very good but there is only one repair centre and thats in London. I have to pay for delivery to the repair centre. How's that a fair deal?

I rate one out of five stats for multiple reasons. The printer is bad quality, you can tell by just looking at it. It's hard to connect and causes hours of usless pain and suffering. Now, It wont connect to internet and you can hear "I'm going to SMASH IT!!!!!" whenever someone tries to use it. Now to costumer service. after many calls, procceses, and now were told,"We cannot help you as it's been over a year since you bought it". Its been just over a year and it's broken and wasn't good in the first place, no service. DO NOT BUY A PRINTER FROM CANNON!!!!!!!!!!

I have had the worst customer services ever afforded to me, I have written to the CEO Uk three weeks ago today I am still awaiting a response from him. I have had a number of messages from the customer service team saying they are awaiting instructions from the UK Director. In five years I have personally spent over 拢30k on canon products I have never been treated so badly. Do not buy canons professional printers!!!!

AWFUL. DO NOT BUY A CANON PRINTER!!!!!!!

don't fall for the positive reviews you see online.

The Canon printers take HOURS to set up and some people I know have had to return it after days of failing to set them up. keeps sending you back to an ENORMOUS online manual, and can take about 40 – 50 minutes to find the section that you need, when all you want it do is register it on one or 2 SIMPLE devices like a phone or laptop or tablet.

but worst of all….. the printer ALWAYS says there is no paper in the tray. no matter what you do, no matter how many times you reset, change the paper, shorten the load, it will constantly say there isn't any paper, and can take all day trying to sort the issue out.

Please don't buy a canon printer. please please go and do yourself a favour and buy a HP printer. they may not be perfect, but they are a hundred times better and a hundred times more reliable, and usually about half the price of the Canon ones.

I am a regular online seller so I print between a lot of sheets every day, and both Canon printers I have had, have had to be returned which is never a straight forward process.

(I do not work or have any affiliation with HP, I have just found them to be a million times better and at a much much better price.)

Just received my order (o518734580) of Photo Pro Premium Matte A3 Paper and what a disgrace.

The outer packaging was made up of two flimsy carboard boxes, poorly sellotaped together. This offered no rigid protection for my order inside (it had no chance of reaching me in good condition!). The UPS carrier dropped the package off at my door, and it also looked like it has been kicked around several times by a footballer. By the time I had picked up the flimsy box the UPS driver had gone.

Needless to say my actual A3 paper was damaged and bent. Expected much better from a company like Canon. Whats going on???

I have contacted customer support. Awaiting a response…

My gripe is with the quantity of packaging, the types of packaging and lack of environmental credentials. I bought a crazily cheap printer (what is going on that it is so cheap), packaged in polystyrene and film with numerous parts to 'remove and dispose'. No recycling symbols on anything. Wonder how long it will last.

Ordered ink 2 weeks and lots of chasing calls – still no delivery. Canon use UPS they let them down by claiming delivery was attempted that was not the case at all. Parcel taken to UPS depot in a different town. No sense of urgency to resolve from Canon. They make lots of promises but no results. Printer is now in the bin and purchasing HP.

AVOID! Absolutely dreadful printer – connectivity issues from the outset and then a roller issue so it is now unusable. It only ever had sparing use anyway. Canon are refusing to fix it. Our family will be buying anything but Canon in the future, for both printers and cameras. Do these companies not realise how much custom they lose through word of mouth of bad experiences?

I have had two Canon Pixma printers. Both worked beautifully for a time. I only print occasionally , so although the ink costs are mind-bending I was prepared to put up with it as the print quality was excellent. However both failed just after warranty ran out and are "write-offs" (cost too much to fix). Really disappointed at this awful reliability and the useless error codes provided by the printer (Code B203 just seems to mean its somehow bandjaxed).
Wont be buying another Canon printer, ever, ever again.

The service from Canon is nothing short of awful.

Today, a piece of plastic in my Pixma printer broke after a paper jam which affected the printing quality.

When I brought it to the attention of Canon, I was told it would be cheaper to buy a new printer than get it fixed.

I was told that Canon would offer me a discount voucher code to purchase a printer if I bought the TS5151 model for 鈧?9.99.

The 20% discount would mean that all I would have to pay would be 鈧?4 approx.

The saving is only 鈧?6 but the amount is not the issue here, it's the principle.

When I went to purchase on-line, I copied and pasted the voucher code number in to the appropriate box and duly purchased.

To my later shock and horror, I discovered that the code didn't lodge and I ended up paying the full amount of 鈧?9.99!

When I rang Canon and asked them to cancel the order so I could re-purchase with my 20% discount code, I was told the printer had been dispatched and the best thing to do was re-order a second one and return the first one when it would be delivered to my door.

I went to purchase a second printer and the website would not accept my discount code.

I then rang Canon AGAIN where the phone option allows you to press 1 with a voice saying that someone will return your call.

I am still waiting on my call to be returned.

I rang again and again and again and eventually got through to someone with bad english. All I heard was a long string of apologies and "I'm sorry, there's nothing we can do now".

Between endless waiting and numerous calls, the money I would have saved by availing of the non-existent voucher has more than surpassed the 鈧?6 by all the calls I made which in real terms means that a printer that was supposed to cost 鈧?9.99 has now cost me in excess of 鈧?0.00!

Remember the issue at this stage is not the money saved but the principle of being told that if I purchased a particular printer I would get a discount, which as it happens, I didn't get at all.

Had I known in advance I would have been put through such a stressful and lengthy ordeal to purchase a simple printer, I would have gone to my nearest Argos where there would be less fuss.

Canon customer service is appalling.

My printer never wants to connect to my network nor to my computer by USB. This makes it hard to actually use the printer. DO NOT buy a canon printer.

Absolutely awful customer services equally paired with their absolutely lying, awful courier service UPS! Never received my printer even though UPS said it was delivered 4 hours BEFORE it was actually scanned out for delivery at Dartford! UPS tracking system is as useful as a chocolate teapot. After waiting 3 weeks for an investigation UPS accepted liability and Canon said they would refund me within 7 days. Long past that now and they haven't, so now got a long wait for my money through Chargeback with my credit card company. Would give both companies no stars if it was possible. Avoid both like the plague!

How bad is this company! When you want to print in black and white, but the colour cartridge is empty, it just won't print! You need to buy a new cartridge for COLOUR even though the black/white one is full.
