Cannon Safe

The worst damn keypads I've seen on a gun safe I had no idea it was a piece of plastic garbage keypad that stopped working after 3 years. Call the company waited 45 minutes for answer they sent another piece of cheap plastic keypad that didn't fit called back, the want me to drill new holes in the safe to so the new piece of plastic will fit. Unbelievable !!!
will never buy another cannon product

Total garbage stay away from this product. Get a liberty safe or something reputable. The extra few dollars will be well worth it. This safe came to my house with damage on the right rear. Then ammo is chipped all the way around it it's got flakes of paint and enamel missing off the front door in the front of the bottom safe. The representative said he would send us touch up paint. What's that this s*** should be baked on. buyer bewarethis safe I promise you is garbage. Save yourself a lot of aggravation Garbage, this safe is nothing but garbage

The key pad lock stopped working. A lock smith costs $600 to drill the safe open. Not worth the cost of the safe. I would not recommend a Cannon safe, the do not cover the cost when the lock stops working.

Cannon doesn't even deserve a single star as far as I am concerned. As with most of the complaints I've read it all began with a bad key pad not sending the signal to the lock inside the safe to allow me access. After 3 months, at least 15 phone calls to attempt different procedures in a fruitless effort to overcome the problem, a text picture of my receipt of purchase to verify my purchase and a text video of me putting in the combination correctly and probably what I told them that there was a long beep not 2 short beeps. I was told that they couldn't help me because I didn't have the Serial Number (SN). Somewhere in the process of delivery the SN. was rubbed off and I was unable to register the safe. I didn't realize it's missing until I tried to register it a couple of weeks after delivery. I told Cannon on day one that the SN. was missing and repeated it several more times during the 15 phone calls I had made to Cannon. Not one word was said about that until they finally told me they couldn't help me because I didn't have a SN.
During this process of abuse I learned that the Cannon safe's are made in Mexico and that the key pads are made in China. I was told that there would be a delay in getting a key pad to me because they didn't have any on hand and the Corona Virus would delay delivery for at least a month. I asked the service person that since they didn't have any on hand was this a systemic problem. She said that they short out and it's a problem sometimes. After about 3 weeks I did receive a key pad and lock. It didn't work either.
It's going to cost me $550.00 to get my safe open by a locksmith from a city near me. It will cost even more to replace the lock. Before all is said and done this $800.00 safe will cost me just a few hundred shy of $2000.00.
If the Cannon Company owners, their builders and service people ever read their Reviews they have to know the low quality of their products.
They also know the systemic dishonesty throughout their company. It amazes me what these people will do for a pay check. I'm sure many of them believe in God but they obviously don't believe God.

I like my cannon ,but there customer service/warranty stinks.
Safe got flooded June 2019 and now it's April and nothing has been done.
I have sent photos of safe, copies of incident reports and nothing.
I have 3 cannon safes but no more will be getting rid of them and getting from a company that will live up to there warranty.

I bought a cannon gun safe a few years back I paid $768 dollars for it. Have had problems with key pad off and on . Well it finally quit working all together.I called company about it and they told me they discontinued that lock that they would have to send me a different key pad. It does not work with that safe. Long story short they said I would have to fix it myself. So now I have a steel box with no lock.I will never buy any cannon products or anything associated with cannon again. If I were not trying to be a Christian they would be a lot of curse words in this.

Customer service terrible.
3 people and trailer to get home and in house. Go to register for warranty need serial # , they put # on sticker on back of safe not on inside, there is no sticker on safe. Call Cannon for # have to take it back to store and replace with another safe. Easy to do just a 600 lb safe.

I have the 64 gun safe shield series. Safe key pad worked for 3 years then key pad started not working off and on til it finally locked me completely out not working at all. They really do not have life time warranty. If you call them they said it only is if the safe has been in fire. New key pad not cheap didnt work. Cannon said I can pay them $40 for a master reset and that that may not work. To drill a safe open and fixing it. Is about the price of a new safe.

I purchased the Cannon Safe, 16.3 CuFt, 30 Minute Fire Protection, 60"H x 26鈥漌 x 18鈥滵, Electronic Lock for $499 from Costco in November 2019. It was delivered today with no external damage to the box. After getting the packing off and opening it up I found dust and debris in the interior, the drywall sides fallen in due to the glue failing, and rust covering approximately 80% of the bottom of the safe (since Trustpilot does not allow me to post pictures with this review look basically anywhere else I can find to post them). The safe was sold to Costco from Alpha Guardian in Henderson, Nevada. I reached out to Costco and customer service was great and was issued a refund, thankfully they had stopped selling the model and I was unable to get an exchange. I then contacted Cannon Safe Inc through their Customer Service chat. I spoke with their representative, Adrian Munoz, who after advising me to contact Costco felt the matter was closed. I asked and he wasn't interested in who sold it, where it originated from, the model or serial number and when I asked to speak to someone else I was told directly it would not be possible. It is clear to me through my experience and the reviews I have read since regarding Cannon locks, that quality and customer service are not included with Cannon safes. I will not be a customer of theirs again.

What everyone else said. The safe locks you out after six months of owning it and they fail to fix the problem and force you to pay for a lock smith. This is such a sham. Cannon should be hit with a class action law suit.

Cannon FAKE life time warranty…. Read the fine print… When your lock fails YOU will get stuck with the locksmith bill. You will also get stuck with a safe with a hole drilled in it an Cannon will NOT replace your safe,or door,. They told me to put JB Weld in the hole. DONT BUY CANNON…

I purchased a Cannin safe and in less than a year it wouldn't unlock. Top lock bars wouldn't retract. Cannon wouldn't answer an email so I had to call them. I was told to have a locksmith get it open, if it was the lock they would replace it, if the lock bar they would replace the safe. Closest locksmith was 2.5 hours from the house and he had to drill 2 holes in the top of the safe to get the lock bars down to open it. I took pictures, as it was the lock bars, and called while the locksmith was here. They said they would get back to me and finally after 3 weeks I had to call them again. They said that the locksmith didnt follow their directions and voided the warranty. never did they tell me to have him call when he arrived so that they could give direction. Their customer service sucks, their product need improvement to say the least and they dint have the best warranty as they claim. I would definitely look at one of their competitors and never consider Cannon unless you want to get lied to and screwed. This complaint will go on all my social media pages and a copy sent to their competitors as well.

Finding out the hard way that Cannon electronic locks are junk, and customer support is terrible. After replacing the battery, it still wont work. Contacted the company and have been waiting 2 weeks for what they will do next. After reading the reviews, I am not holding out hope that this will be resolved. I will make sure to get the word out that cannon safes are junk and customer service stinks. They certainly do not stand behind there claim!

Never by a Cannon safe, customer service does not exist. My keypad failed and after 3 weeks i get a keypad that does not work, and they no longer make the one installed on my safe. After calling and emailing they say there is nothing they can do i am on my own. And i will have to find a lock smith to drill it and i will have to pay for it on my own. I will never by another Cannon product. The warrenty isnt really a warrenty and they dont care about the customer or about standing behind there paper weighted product.

I will update this review if things change. I am not one to bad mouth any person or company, but I can't buy a product and be ignored. I bought a Cannon 80 gun safe from Tractor Supply Company about a month ago. The people there were great and l may have to deal with them if Cannon doesn't do something.

Sunday (9/22/19) I go to unlock the safe and it won't unlock. I completed the form on the internet and they sent me an automated response stating I would be contacted soon. I was not contacted today (9/23/19) and attempted to use the link on the response, and it tells me my Facebook password is incorrect, well it works for Facebook.

I will try the 800 242 1055 number tomorrow. Wish me luck.

9/24/19, I phoned customer service and talked with a R. Mendoza. We went through the new battery questions, date of expiration on the battery and pushed, pulled on the door while we tried to open it. He was professional and requested I send a video of trying to open the safe, my receipt, and contact information. Apparently my only two options were; take the 900+ pound safe, with my stuff back to TSC and some how get my stuff back or they will send a lock smith out to drill in my safe, fix it and repair the holes they drill. I sent the requested information. So far all I have gotten is talk and no action by anybody but me.

9/25/19 at 1:15 p.m. No reply from Cannon Safe. I resent the email to Mr. Mendoza with email stating I still had not been contacted by the locksmith.

According to the email I got from Mr. Mendoza at 5:04 p.m.,
"Hello Sir,
I Just send out the approve today to the locksmith team."

I was not given any further instructions just what you see above.
I also did receive my first correspondence from the initial email I sent to customer service on Sunday from a Ms. Madero. It basically says, change the battery to a battery that has an expiration date past 2024 and here is a link to change your password (the one to Facebook that works everywhere but on the customer service website). Then she said they were closing the complaint unless I replied. I did. I referred her to Mr. Mendoza. We will see if perseverance makes any difference.

Searching the internet I discovered the email address for the president of the company. At 11:15 p.m. I emailed him and attached this review.

9/26/19, This morning at 9:50 a.m. I had an email from Mr. Bravo with Cannon safe telling me I had been assigned a locksmith near me. I contacted them this morning and they supposed to be coming tomorrow. I will finish this review as soon as it is open.

9/27/19, This afternoon the locksmith arrived and was very pleasant and helpful. He was able to get my safe open by drilling it in the front. Unfortunately he was not authorized to repair the safe, just open it "by any means necessary and do not repair" according to his work order from Cannon, which he allowed me to look at. So, is Cannon going to send me a new safe and pick up this 950 pound steel box or am I supposed to get it back to Tractor Supply on my dime? Throughout this entire process, communication has been lacking. If I have to get it back to the store, I will never buy anything with Cannon written on it again.

I did email Cannon customer service and inquire about shipping a new safe. We shall once again see how much they care about their customers and their products reputation.

09/30/19, Cannon replied to my message of the 27th and I called them rather than play email tag. I spoke with a representative and he made contact with Mr. Bravo. They requested I send them more pictures of the damage done to the safe by the locksmith opening it. I sent them three images and requested they call me upon receipt so we could hopefully rectify this mess. To their credit they did call me a short time later and I had two options with them; I could take a curbside delivery of a new safe and they would have somebody come and pick up the old one, or they could put a spot of epoxy over the hole the locksmith made, replace the lock on the outside door and not replace the three layers of hardened steel on the inside. I explained a curbside delivery might work on a smaller safe, but I live in the country and my driveway is well over a 100 yards long and I have no way of moving a 950 pound safe on the driveway. That was not really their concern and they could not help me beyond this.

I will be taking the safe back to Tractor Supply, who has been completely supportive in this and return it and purchase a Liberty 50 gun safe.

10/2/19, Returned safe to Tractor Supply which has been the only positive thing in this experience. They were more than apolegetic for my problem and I purchased a Liberty 50 gun safe.

Tractor Supply good, Cannon Customer Support, not so much.

We bought 3 types of different printers – laser, inkjet… over 10 years. Always better quality. It took 1 year and 2 months in average that they broke, of course out of guarantee already, service is always 50%-100% of printers price and over the years not one of them worked without problems more than for a month. NEVER again. I was so against it the last time, but reviews were excellent. Well, my husband now thinks the same. We have to buy new printer because the last one broke over not that common mistake. Really? Again? Never again Cannon printers.

80 gun Cannon.this safe is crap. customer service is incompetent. As some other reviewers, the safe locked me out. Hours and hours Customer (non)Service will keep you on the phone without an idea of what they are doing. 8 or 9 times they made me replace the battery. Each time you call. Replace the battery. Push in on the door. 5 times I gave Mary my zip code. Then when she gave me a "local" safe company it was over 100 miles away because she got my zip wrong. Then local safe company says they see these mechanical problems with Cannon safes. Wish I saw a review before buying. 3 weeks and still waiting for parts to get the safe open.

My house flooded in 2012, I have a Cannon Pixma MX452. We put it in our shed after the flood and honestly I thought it would never work again but, I did not throw it away. I bagged it up in a garage bag. Today July 9, 2019. I was cleaning out my shed and found my printer hooked it up and to my amazement it worked. Seven years later!!!!! I will be a cannon customer for life! I am amazed. Thank you Cannon for making a product this durable. Darlene Tolbert Independence, Louisiana 70443

Absolute worst experience with a company. Bought the Velocity Vault safe from Costco. Branded by Cannon. The box didn鈥檛 have a key in it so I called Cannon customer service. The rep said 鈥渢hat model is exclusive to Costco and we can鈥檛 help you.鈥?I asked why they can鈥檛 help with a product that they made and he said 鈥淚 don鈥檛 know why our name and logo is on the box because that鈥檚 not our product.鈥?I asked to speak with a supervisor and he was just as useless as the last guy. He basically told me i can鈥檛 get into my safe and that he can鈥檛 help me. Never buying a Cannon brand safe again. Don鈥檛 waste your time.

Keypad failed and locked me out after 5 years. Called Cannon and got some dude who could barely speak English. No hate to the individual but gee whizz Cannon! Please have somebody who is fluent in English in customer service. Long story short, I still am locked out.

Cannons products and customer service are absolute sh#t! I've had issues with mine starting at about year one…. Anyting from not locking to me not being able to get into it which are the only two things a safe is good for. and on top of that I've tried to contact customer service via email and phone multiple times with no response over the past couple years. Whatever you do steer clear of this company and their products!

I bought this safe 8 months ago, after 2 months the shelves started to sag. I put a warranty claim in, have followed up several times and each time they say they are coming. The tracking number they gave me has listed "Label Created" with no follow up for 6 months. Absolutely ridiculous.
