While the community on the site try very hard to be helpful. The site itself operates on a rather immoral and hypocritical level that users should be aware of.
I got the name of a boat surveyor from going on this site and reading through recommendations. Turned out the surveyor was so bad he nearly killed us from massively under-investigating the fire risk from the wood stove and neglecting to point this out to us. When I went to post the negative review explaining the experience on the forumn, I received an email that the surveyor's name had been removed -which defeats the whole purpose of posting it.
The whole point of consumer review sites and forums is to share information -good and bad. So that we can all be more informed about making purchases and feel more confident in doing so. If you ban the negative feedback it completely undermines the entire purpose of the site/forum.
Thank goodness for TrustPilot! Will never trust CanalWorld.net again.
