Canada Post

I'm pasting my review from best buy over here to explain how poorly canada post handled my misdelivered parcel issue. It's ridiculous and i still haven't been refunded for it.

Purchased a pack of polaroid film from bestbuy.ca while it was still hot and sunny out ($124) because i wanted to use my polaroid cameras during that time. That was over a month ago on October 5th. It is now November 16th. It's cold, rainy, snowing and dark outside. After realizing my item wasn't delivered to me, even though tracking said it had been, i contacted canada post about it. They argued that i had received it and gave me a hard time about it but finally let me create a ticket. No follow up. Two weeks later i received an email from canada post saying the sender of the item had contacted them about my unreceived item and had i contacted canada post yet? I answered yes i had and sent them my ticket number but they never got back to me. I waited a week more and called canada post. The service agent let it slip that the carrier had delivered the package to my neighbour's safe drop location behind their fence (?) and was supposed to go back to get it on october 15th but just hadn't. She asked me to wait another week for them to get back to me about it, so i did. No follow up again. I call canada post again. They tell me they have RESOLVED the issue with best buy and that i can only deal with them concerning this issue going forward. I reluctantly contact best buy chat, waiting on a long hold with them to finally be told that my case has been escalated to the "concerned department" and that they require 5-7 business days to contact me with my "options". I argue but get nowhere so am forced to wait for an email. EMAIL NEVER COMES. I contacted best buy through chat again today, waiting on hold forever again, TO BE ASKED TO WAIT 3-5 BUSINESS DAYS FOR THEIR "BACK END" STAFF TO CONTACT ME WITH MY OPTIONS GOING FORWARD. WHHAAAATTTTTTT THE FFF?!? I literally feel like i am stuck in the movie Groundhog Day. Is this a joke? Do you guys this is funny? I paid for an item that i did not receive, and i've waisted hours of my life chasing both the carriers you use and your own company around just to get played with like a cat with a mouse. I feel like screaming and i'm not even a screamer.

Now that covid has come along, Canada Post is using it as the perfect excuse to ratchet up their laziness and arrogance. So far since March I've had three parcels stolen because they refuse to track parcels, they sit on parcels for weeks like chickens trying to hatch eggs, and then they dump the month old parcel outside my door when I'm not expecting it (no tracking) and refuse to ring my bell or knock to let me know it's there. Another heavy parcel was dumped in the driveway in front of my building (they were too lazy to bring it in, even with a dolly), then stolen. It's so bad that some organized criminals in my building now watch for the CP truck every day and then do the rounds of the hallways snatching the parcels before the tenant has a chance to pick them up. I caught footage of them with my doorbell cam using a stolen grocery cart to steal the parcels. Luckily Amazon is quick to refund stolen parcels, and after the third time it was easy to convince them to NEVER use Canada Post to ship any of my orders again.

Parcels are always at least a week overdue and sometimes a month or more. They are now outsourcing a lot of their parcel delivery in Toronto, and often they will dump a parcel after 9 pm on weekends, great time for it to be stolen. As I mentioned there's never any tracking info and they don't knock or ring. They refuse to help if you phone them asking for a parcel trace, they only help the senders. I currently have a $250 parcel in limbo from a different retailer for two weeks now. It was sent from less than 10 km away! I could have walked to the sender and picked it up myself. The sender is being difficult about a refund and refusing to call Canada Post to track the parcel. They expect me to pay to ship the item back to them before they will issue a refund. I'll be reviewing them here shortly. I was forced to buy the same item again at another retailer who doesn't use Crappy Post. So now I'm out $250 and will probably have to do a chargeback with my credit card company to get my money back for the parcel that Crappy Post's sticky fingered chickens are incubating.

All CP and its employees care about is the paycheck they get.
CONVID19 or even no CONVID19, they come up with an excuse for not delivering on time. Seriously, kids can make better excuses then CP. All they think is that we are idiots as we keep using them and they being the most intelligent people on the planet.

""Customers should anticipate delays as important safety measures, including physical distancing, means it takes longer to process heavy parcel volumes. Please track your item. Our call centres have no further information.""
This is what you will find on the C-Post Tracking page – milking the C-19 issue.
Canada Post isn't alone in doing this but the Corporation is sure taking full advantage.
Like many C-Post now has the luxury of working with a lot less costs as a result of less staffing levels – plus they get to reduce service and say "oh it's C-19" – yet C-Post still has the same rates being charged for the reduced service and cash in hiding behind C-19. If it used to take 3 days it now takes 2 weeks for the same monies paid – and you get 'well it's C-19' if you call them on it.
Canada Post has had plenty of time to work around the C-19 issue and have a system in place to maintain service – but why would they when they have C-19 the hide behind & profit more while customers get less…

If I could give Canada post no stars I would. Been waiting a month for a laptop so I can start work from home. It said it was going to be delivered over 2 weeks ago. Still in transit huh? For 2 weeks it even says they are in my city.

Canada Post Tracking – Well I think you should junk the tracking system for certain typre of parcels. If you can't do the tracking just eliminate it. You are wasting a lot of your and our resources, If you can't add value just admit it and we will be happy without your false pretend.

The only consistent aspect of Canada Post's service is how terrible it is! I made a purchase on April 1st (2020) from a seller I have purchased from multiple times without issue. They created a shipping label the next day but it hasn't made any progress to date. I contacted the seller last Monday, and he assured me he had shipped it out with multiple other orders that very same day. Come Wednesday, when I still saw no progress I decided to contact Canada Post (number 70 in que btw!!) just to be told that as far as they could tell the package was never received and it's up to the seller to launch an escalation. The seller can't send replacements or process a refund until their investigation is over.. so I'm stuck in limbo indefinitely. Thanks Canada Post!

March 2019 lost my iPhone from Koodo. Took 2 week's to track it down.

March 2020 all packages are now being held hostage as Canada Post closes before all deliverys are processed. Now I'm waiting all long weekend as they need the extra time off.

This is the 3rd time in as many months that the postperson has stuck a parcel in my letter delivery box that I cannot extract from the door of the box (with the parcel delivery box about 2 feet away). I think the person is doing it on purpose, like they hate me for asking for parcel #1 to be placed in a larger box (one of the parcel boxes) so that I could get it.

It's too much. Just because a parcel can be dropped into the letter box does not mean it can be extracted from the letter box door that I access. Additional hardware is there, making that door smaller than the one the delivery person accesses. I can't believe that they don't know that. Maybe they hate Amazon – although that may be one of the few reasons they have a job.

I'm sick of it. So stupid that I have to keep spending my time phoning Canada post, creating a ticket, then wait for the post person to move the package to an accessible mail box. There isn't even an email for complaints & problems. You have to take time and explain to someone what the problem is, and they then have to produce a ticket no. and on and on.

I live in Vancouver. 610 1035 Pacific Street. V6E 4G7 This happens over and over again. It feels deliberate. Can you please do something about it.

Terrible service. Over 9 days from pick up to delivery of an expedited parcel. I will never trust Canada Post with my deliverys again. Total distance was 18 Km.

I ordered something Xpress Sunday and its Thursday night and my package still hasn't arrived.

It was 'out for delivery' all day today but never came so I'm guessing its back at a facility?

Except its a long weekend now so I won't get it until Tuesday. All because you guys can't pay overtime to finish a damn truck. You cannot even do a package in one week. I hate you Canada Post.

The worst service being provided by a so called crown corporation. I was advised my delivery was picked up on Apr 7 and delivery end of day Apr 8. No delivery, still shows delivery by end of day Apr 8, but this is Apr 9 and still shows in transit. I called on hold 18mins was in a queue of 136 people then I was cut off. Called back later and on hold 39 mins doesn't seem important that I reside in an apartment building 18 floors, where No One received mail in a couple of days, but we know it鈥檚 in the truck for delivery, where is the driver? Hasn鈥檛 been around for a couple of days. So Easter gift that the company sent out on time will not be delivered because Canada post doesn鈥檛 care if mail gets delivered. If this was the only time this happened not an issue, however my daughter was sent a parcel from Hamilton, Ont and was sent saying it would be delivered Mar 25 and it was not put in our mailbox until April 2nd, where was it you ask? In the Cda post mail truck. I could have driven and picked up package same day if we would have known the extremely poor service from what should be a proud Canadian company. If you want delivery and quality service do not use Canada post.

Worst delivery service ever! Never comes on time guaranteed delivery is a joke. Promised delivery today for Easter and at 8:30pm they say it will now not come until Tuesday. Never buy anything that uses Canada Post.

I paid for express post on Sunday in order for my grand kids to get their Easter parcel. It is now Thursday at 5:40 and parcel is not delivered. Of course Canada Post does not deliver Saturday or Sundays so my grandchildren have to wait until next week or never for their parcel. I have been online with their Virtual Assistant for well over 30 minutes and even though it says 0 minutes before I have contact with an assistant, the system seems to be locked with no one home. This is the 2nd time Canada post has not delivered on time with Express Post. I will NEVER use Canada post again.

I wish I could give zero stars. I have had so many issues. This one tops the cake. I'm told by a very rude woman that due to covid-19 delivery times are not guaranteed (even when paid extra for). Ok fine.. but my issue had nothing to do with that but with the fact that the postal worker neglected to out my item on the damned truck to bring to my city. They screwed up with their manifest. She tried to argue with me even tho I had that information from 2 previous sources before ever speaking to her. A request for a call back with whatever department it is who handles this stuff was put in… I was told 4 hrs. And guess what? No call. This is the second instance where canada post couldn't be bothered to contact me for issues due to their negligence. I honestly hate this company but unfortunately as a recipient I have no control over how merchants send their goods. Total crap!

Spent over an hour trying to sign into the Canada Post website. Says it recognized my email but can鈥檛 get logged in. The security questions are RIDICULOUS! Where did your parents meet? Are you kidding? I wasn鈥檛 around. What was your first car? I鈥檓 66 years old. I have no idea. What a waste of time and taxpayers money. I have to go to the post office to fill out a form to get my mail forwarded….same old same old. Why are taxpayers funding this useless organization who can鈥檛 even design a simple website?

Terrible delivery service. Packages are rarely on time. It's always something with Canada post I am so fed up with their lack of care for their delivery standards. I ordered an item, paid for Express shipping, which was suppose to be 2 to 3 days, it's been 5 days and my parcel has still not been delivered. You pay extra for Express shipping because you want your stuff to come asap but it's like they don't even care, actually lemme rephrase that, They DO NOT CARE! It's frustrating because it's like, pay more for 2-3 day Express shipping? Oh let's just delivery your item when ever the hell we feel like. And this is not the first time, stiff like this happens all the time with them. They take their time doing everythiny. They lie about delivery times and when stuff is supposed to be delivered. smh. In conclusion, It don't even make sense paying extra for shipping because they'll just deliver it when ever the hell they want to.

Canada post is the worst mail service ever. Tried to pay to forward a business post office box and they charged me for personal… Then made me come back in and pay for business forwarding and refused to refund the first one even though I had asked for business forwarding in the first place!

Packages are Never delivered to my door step even when I have been home all day they always slap a notice instead.

Our mailboxes were compromised and they just changed all the locks for all the boxes in the neighborhood, didn't communicate with anyone we all had to just figure out what happened on our own and call in to customer service to request new keys and we got the run around saying that the locks must all be frozen and that's why their not working. I had to explain to them that the police had called me to return a recovered package and that I knew the boxes had been compromised before they would believe me that I needed a new key? How the heck could they not know all our locks had been changed? They don't even communicate internally!

Nothing but frustration with Canada post…makes me ashamed that they have the word Canada in their name!

So beyond mad.
Canada post randomly decides to change the mail boxes, DURING a pandemic might I add. I tried my usual mail box nothing works, I ran into one of the postal people and they said "they've all been changed they got mixed up, try your key in every one." So we took a walk tried EVERY box in our neighborhood, with no luck. So now I cant get my ei cheque due to being laid off, due to there being a pandemic.

So I decided to call, after 3 hours of being on the phone. Being jumped from person to person, having them not understand i am trying to locate where my mail box is going to be. To finally be told it will take 3 days to locate the box/find out what they are doing with potential new keys.
You. Have. To. Be. Joking.
So great, I will not be able to make payments towards my mortgage, or buy groceries.

Thank you canada post for literally f'ing me.

-sincerely,
Severely Angry.

So tired of Canada Post tracking system that gives false delivery times. Oh Canada, what a farce!!! From now on, if a company that I order from uses Canada Post to deliver, I will cancel the order.

I've been battling this dumpster fire of a company for several years including three escalations to their rude, useless "ombudsman". Their regular mail delivery is a joke. I regularly receive mail addressed to other apartments and of course they lose my important letters. Once they even started forwarding all of my mail to the other side of the country without my knowledge, and I only found out when the recipient started sending my opened mail back to me.

I signed up for their "customer choice" program which is supposed to stop them from stuffing my mailbox with junk. They continue to stuff my box with junk mail and then refuse to deliver legitimate mail because my mailbox is full. I've complained several times about this. The flood of junk stops for a few weeks and then starts right back up.

Parcels are even worse. They've stopped tracking parcels no matter how much you pay for shipping. There's no way to tell where a parcel is, much less when you can expect to receive it. They send tracking info to the sender and don't post it on their own website. One of their own carriers told me to ignore what's on their tracking site because it's "nonsense" (his words).

Once a carrier crammed a parcel addressed to another apartment so tightly in my mailbox that I had to cut the box apart to get it out. Very often they don't even try to deliver parcels in the first place, they just slap a ticket on the mailbox. Several times their ticket directed me to pick my parcel up at the wrong postal outlet, which means two trips to different outlets when I'm disabled and don't drive. Speaking of postal outlets, they insist on dumping parcels addressed to tenants in my building at an outlet which is nearly 3 km from our building with no bus service, when there's an outlet 15 mins walk away which we can see out of our windows. Because of this I have to walk for an hour and a half each way on a walker when Canada Post screws up and doesn't deliver my parcel to my home.

Their carriers are abysmally stupid and lazy. I installed a doorbell on my door because these people don't know how to knock loudly enough to be heard through a thick apartment fire door. It's a video doorbell with a motion sensor that lights up the button with bright blue light when someone comes to the door. Other couriers have no trouble using it. Too bad Canada Post's carrier is actually too brain dead to know how to operate a doorbell button. It doesn't help that he only knows exactly three words of English. I finally tried putting up a sign on my door saying "ring, do not knock" – and yesterday my video doorbell caught him knocking on the camera/doorbell assembly and saying "Hello, hello!". Duh…

I'm "expecting" another parcel from Canada Post today. Actually what I really "expect" is to find a ticket stuck on my door or mailbox, and to waste my day tomorrow running another wild goose chase to get my parcel which should have been delivered today, but which Canada Post hasn't scanned since the box was picked up from the sender yesterday. Even if by some miracle it arrives at my building, the brain trust whose job it is to deliver it will be too busy shouting "hello" at my doorbell and knocking on it to actually ring it.
