When I cancelled my order they messed up the refund. I ended up paying 拢50 more and ordering from John Lewis – the camera arrived the next day. Avoid this company.

I ordered a Nikon D5000 from CameraTek.co.uk on the 15th of May, 2009, as it was about 拢80 cheaper than on Amazon and displayed as being in stock. I paid 拢6 for delivery in 1-3 days. I received an e-mail shortly afterwards stating that my order was being processed and would be delivered in 1-3 days.
On the 19th, 20th and 21st of May, I phoned CameraTek on their advertised number, 0800 955 6767, numerous times during the working day as I'd received no further communication from them regarding the delay. The only customer service was a BT answer phone inviting me to leave a message. I e-mailed them on the 22nd of May informing them that I wasn't too upset that it had been a week since my order, but I would appreciate some semblance of communication. I phoned them again on Friday, and again during their working hours on Saturday, 23rd of May. BT lady's droll voice responded to my phone calls and an electronic silence permeated my inbox.
Now, on the Bank Holiday, Monday, 25th of May, I've contacted PayPal (thankfully I didn't pay CamerTek directly) to open a dispute. Considering CameraTek鈥檚 lack of staff to answer phone calls and e-mails, I doubt they'll notice the message in their inbox. I will be escalating to a claim.
I suspect CameraTek are either a one-man operation or in financial trouble and Mark, Hugh and Seb below might have other motives behind their high-starred reviews. I'd read these reviews before deciding to buy, and to be frank, I'm disappointed by CameraTek's complete lack of customer service. We had hoped to have the camera by the 28th of May prior to a holiday in Spain. Either way, I know my family, friends and I will be avoiding CameraTek for the foreseeable future.
Apart from my poor experience I have no competing interest in writing this review. I hope this helps both CameraTek improve their services and makes anyone considering buying from them aware of the situation they are likely to face.

However whenever I e-mailed to chase, I always got a reply to explain.
I would use them again, but maybe consider the order may take longer than expected.
