I preferred it! As far as I might be concerned, it is quite an agreeable assistance. I have put a few requests, and from here, you can likewise get this excellent help.

I have been waiting TEN MONTHS for my camera to be repaired and returned. The person I have been liaising with calls himself Stephen, at least in the e mails. He strung me along with comments such as, "Oh, you haven't received the camera yet? I'll check with the service department and check the status".
From there nothing has transpired (there were over thirty e mails sent) and now, understandably, for the last three e mails I have sent to "Stealing Stephen" then there has been nothing in response…..
This is just to let others know that CAMERA AND PARTS CANNOT BE TRUSTED! I'm sorry to say that because four years ago, they handled a similar issue reasonably well – OK, it did take them four months to get the camera back. I love(d) my Canon G10 but now it's gone – into the black hole of Texas is it, wherever they call their "servicing department" home.

I'm very disappointed that they have not stood by their claims; will not respond and have basically stolen my camera. Don't fall into the same trap that I and others have!

This is just a small sample fo the frustration I have been experiencing with dealing with Camera and Parts over the last EIGHT MONTHS…. yes, and I have LOST MY CAMERA as now noone is responding to me. I wrote in this Review site a few months ago……
here are some of the (currently forty) e mails and responses I've had.

Hi Stephen,

No, nothing has arrived – eight months, no camera, no news. VERY disappointed with Camera and (no) Parts…..

Hi Martin,

I checked on this and I'm being informed that it already shipped. Was this going to shipping center of some sort or a business? Please let me know so I can work on getting this figured out, thanks!

Dear Ryan,

It's now two months later and still no news from you regarding my last response. I have no camera from you either. Where is it and what has happened to it please?
As you may have gathered, I have now to adjust to having no camera; summer holidays and nothing to indicate that Camera and Parts are dealing with my problem – or returning the camera.
Please advise,

Martin

OK Ryan,

I am still bewildered as to why you weren't able to fix the camera – apart form the inordinate time span without hearing anything – and then only, as it seems, bad news. The issue is basically identical to the problem I asked you to fix back in 2013 – which you managed without a problem. So what was missing this time? A lens which won't retract and you can't fix it?? Really??

Hi Stephen,

And then…. will you be sending the camera back? Is that it? Not fixed – unable to do it?
Don't feel some kind of obligation to repair and send it for free??
Can you please reply?
Thanks

Hullo again (x 28 or so?) Ryan,

I always appreciate it when you tell em what's going on: I'd appreciate it much more knowing I might get my camera back – and when. Seriously, what is going on? Do I have to write this off and buy a new one? It's coming up to five months….
Please…..

I had a lens focusing problem with my Canon IS850. I thought that it would be expensive to fix. I found the http://www.camerasandparts.com/ website. I left a message and they called back. I remember we talked about a bunch of stuff, Football, BBQ, the weather and my camera. I followed the instructions on the website and sent the camera in. I thought that it would be a couple of weeks. NOPE. I got a call 3 days later saying they found the problem and can fix it. 2 days later that I had my camera back. That was 6/3/2015. It is now November 17, 2016 and the camera still works great. I did notice that the battery life is much better and the screen controls are different, much easier to use. "They" offered me a $10.00 discount so this whole venture cost me $79.00. http://www.camerasandparts.com/ exceeded my expectations 10 fold. I would not hesitate to use them again.

My faithful little Canon PowerShot SD850 finally died after about 7 years' use, as the lens wouldn't retract and I kept getting error messages. I found your website after Canon told me that there were repair companies out there who might not be very reliable. For a very reasonable sum and in a timely manner, my camera is now back home and working just fine. Even though my husband is a semi-professional photographer with all the top of the line equipment, I prefer my little camera. Your staff handled the work very professionally. Thank you ever so much!

I can't recommend highly enough with all my friends. A super concerned business

During the recent trip our 4-year old Canon PowerShot G12 stopped working. A local camera store said this is an issue with a stuck shutter, very common for G12, and they would have to send it to Canon for $250 to be repaired.
Facing such cost, I have spent lots of time online, looking for advice, suggestions, and ideas on how to fix it. I had an option either to purchase a new G16 for $400, a two-year old model, with quite similar features as G12, or to take a chance and mail my G12 to Cameras and Parts for an $89 repair.
There are many reviews about C&P online, some of them not favorable, so I have decided to contact C&P and talked to the owner, Ryan, about my concerns. Ryan explained the repair process, timeframe, communication, and the 3-month warranty his company provides on the camera (not only on the repair itself, but on the camera as a whole).
Within few days of shipping the G12 to C&P I got a call back to confirm the extent of the repair and to pay for the service. My repaired camera arrived back to me very quickly, only 8 days from the day I shipped it to the day it arrived. Knocking on the wood, the camera has been working flawlessly since then.
Each person is responsible for making their own decision whether or not to use C&P. All I can say is that I am very happy with the service and the cost of the repair. I have not experienced any hiccups that some people talk about; the whole process was smooth and efficient and I would feel comfortable to send them my camera again.

I had my Canon G11 repair by CamerasAndParts. The problem was that the lens would not retract. They "fixed" the problem, and found other things to charge me for while it was in the shop. I went for it, thinking of the value of the camera, and the salesmen's convincing me of the problem, that in the future, that they would not guarantee the camera in total if I did not — I used the camera a few times, and then, on a trip overseas, just after the 90 guarantee was up, the SAME problem occured again: The lens would not retract. I had to purchase a new camera in order to record the remainder of the trip. I contacted CameraAndParts, and they told me to return the camera, and for a reduced fee, they would repair it again. I did not do so as I already had purchased a NEW camera, and I did not have the confidence that the SECOND repair on for the SAME issue, would have better consequences in the future. The shop must have used inferior parts, or did not do the repair correctly, as the repair DID NOT LAST. I do not know what else to say, as my experience speak for itself!!

Very satisfied. The service was great and I got the camera back in a very short time.
It works perfect and is better than new. There cost to repair the camera was less than I found any place else and I would highly recommend them to anyone that has a problem with their camera.

I couldn't be happier with the work that Cameras and Parts did on our Canon camera. The lens was jammed and and would not close up back in the camera. We thought we were facing another expensive camera purchase. Thankfully, someone on another website recommended Cameras and Parts because they experienced the very same problem. Now, our camera is as good as new; and we saved a whole lot of money going the repair route rather than the replace route. Thanks guys!!

I recently sent my G12 in for service with Camerasandparts, and called to get some details worked out. The person I spoke with was very helpful and answered all my questions. He told me exactly how to send it and I did. He also said it wasn't necessary to send it "insured" as they cover the camera up to $600, which is a nice touch. The only possible wrinkle is while the camera was gone, I got an email from them explaining there was a potential other problem. I called and spoke to them and they explained that there was an issue with my flash. They said if I never use the flash, to not worry about it, but if I do, I "may" want to consider getting a part changed to the tune of $60 more. They said without the repair, the flash would eventually burn itself out. I authorized the repairs because if it failed, I'd have to send it back in. Was it legit, or a way to get more money? Who knows? I'm thinking it "probably" was legit because otherwise the guy wouldn't have told me not to worry about it if I never use the flash, as some people don't.. Anyway, what I do know is they have fast, friendly service and I got my camera back in no time and it's working good as new.

Recently Cameras and Parts repaired my lens with my Canon G12 camera. It went well. It was finished and shipped to me in days of them getting it. It's working like new with no sign of repair. Their service is really very good. Recommended

After dropping my G15 it displayed a lens error message. I was recommended to Cameras And Parts through a local store. The repair was done very quick (3 days), shipping back was just as quick. My works better than ever. I will use you again if I ever need a repair in the future. Thank you to all of your staff. It was a very good experience having my camera repaired there.

The Canon G9 we use at our clinic failed. It didn't power up even with a freshly charged battery.

CanerasAndParts.com fixed it in two days. The camera looks like new. It's was cleaned nicely. The experience was just wonderful!

I can truly recommend them with all the confidence in the world. They were really that good and pleasant to deal with. Service like this is really appreciated in this day and age. Thank you much!

The service with Cameras And Parts was very admirable. It was fast to get the camera repaired (it was with them just a few days and then they shipped it back to me 2 day priority mail) and the cost was more than reasonable. At $89 for all they did, I wouldn't use any other place for service. The camera has been working like new since they did the repair on it. I also found the cleaning they do on the camera to be extremely good. The whole experience was very good, I am happy to share my experience with others needing a camera to get repaired.

Alright, so my review is almost perfect other than for one small hiccup. Cameras and parts worked on my Canon G10. They did a fine job, repair wise the work was a strong 10 out of 10.

My only gripe was I sent in the battery with the camera and I did not get it back (partially my fault). Their instructional email did say to not send in any accessories and I think it went as far to specify not to send in the battery. I'll take the blame for that one because I forgot to remove the battery before sending it in. I'm only human though, right? When the camera came back to me which was better than fast, the battery wasn't in the box so I couldn't use it.

I contacted Cameras And Parts and they did acknowledge it got to them with the battery and it wasn't shipped back to me. They did rush me out the battery 2 day priority delivery so that was good of them.

I made the error of including the battery by they shouldn't have made a mistake if not getting it back. They're great people, no doubt it was an I eyesight and they got me going quickly. The downside was I didn't get to take my camera on my weekend trip I had planned.

I would say in all other areas, they were as perfect as can be. I was thoroughly happy and satisfied with their service otherwise.
