I would suggest avoiding Camelot and saving up to get a proper tenancy elsewhere where you will have proper legal protection.
I have had to chase them just to get my deposit returned. which it still hasn't been, and they have taken the mick by making me wait almost 8 weeks for it. Which apparently is standard procedure.
They tried to claim I haven't paid my license fee for 2 months where I had and then harassed me with text messages and emails every day counting down to the payment deadline.
When I sent evidence of the fact I had paid they then blamed their harassment on a "technical issue" They also have tried to charge me for a "clearance fee.
And ignored my request for evidence of the condition the property was left in after they made me leave at short notice (in a proper tenancy you get 2 months we got about 25 days) and proof that this clearance was actually carried out.
Their finance team then backtracked and said I would need to take up this matter with my guardian manager who has been included in every email I have sent to their finance team but he has chosen to ignore every email.
I will be reporting them to trading standards and taking them to a small claims court to recover my deposit if needs be.
