If you鈥檙e an international couple planning a destination wedding in Portugal you鈥檝e got enough stress on your plate as it is. Spare yourself the additional stress caused by dealing with Ana from cakeshop.pt
There is no doubt her cakes are beautiful but she has some pretty strict ideas about how transactions with customers should work.
We shared many emails before deciding to do a tasting for our wedding with her. After we missed the payment deadline in a completely honest mix up she gave away our appointment without even checking in and told us she was now no longer available at any time during our visit.
After we expressed that we were disappointed with how things played out and suggested that perhaps it would be helpful if she would have reached out to us before making this decision we were met with 0 understanding and a statement of 鈥渕y business, my rules鈥?
I鈥檓 happy for Ana that treating customers this way doesn't have a detrimental impact on her bottom line like it would where I am from.
In the end we decided that the stress of a baker with an attitude was not what our already complex destination wedding needed and Ana expressed she was also glad not to have to work with us and our apparently unreasonable expectations around baseline customer service.
