I just started out in the crypto scene and so far the experience has been great. I am very happy with choosing Cake Defi and so far Liquidity mining is producing the most interest for me, I have staking shares as well and plan to enter a lapis batch this Friday.

A little while ago I told my parents (Generation X) that I've invested in crypto and also joined a platform called Cake (FYI – That's where mum started listening ;))

It really wasn't easy to explain how Bitcoin, Ethereum and Lending & Staking and DeFi is working so I had to find examples of their "FIAT-World" to make them understand what the heck is going on. What more can I ask for.

I have about 200k USD worth of assets under management by Cake. I know the founders and team so I鈥檓 not worried that they will run away with my funds. It鈥檚 more of a systemic risk of it being crypto after all. So there鈥檚 a risk of them being hacked. It鈥檚 centralized but it allows them to provide easy-to-use products that even people who are not familiar with crypto can take advantage of. Just put your assets there and let it work.

The team also publishes regular transparency reports. It鈥檚 really exciting to be part of their community and follow the development. They move so so so fast!

They have some haters too. As they are starting to show up on people鈥檚 radar. But if you sieve through the noise, you鈥檇 find the genuine reviews and feedback from real users are generally positive.

Been using Cake Defi for a little while, i'm on month 2 so far.

Tried lapis service for BTC (#35) and ETH (#26), got the payouts after the 4 week time as promissed with 5% and 4% API (+ 4% in DFI). I'm currently in 5 other lapis batches on their platform (BTC: #37, #38, #39 + ETH: #29 & #30).

Been Staking DFI for 61% API, getting daily new tokens. Currently at 47,4% API (usually moves up and down from week to week -don't know why).

They are responing to all my question on twitter, fast and active. Fixed a problem I asked about.

They have quarterly transparency reports, both in video and text format. Take a look yourself at their website or YT.

Tried to withdraw BTC, took about a day, but it came. They said in q3 report that they are working on fast withdraws, time will tell I guess. So far seems like they hold the private keys and do transactions manually, so make sure you trust the team.

I would recommend – but never go inn with more than you are comfortable losing. Personally I have under 10% of my portfolio on the cake playtform and it's growing every day.

If you know how basic DeFi services work, you'll have no problem with Cake. I use it, and I like that it's relatively simple to get things done, it's quick and transparent.

I deducted one star because of how the UI or any documentation I read through, doesn't always tell you what happens when doing certain tasks; First, it doesn't explain that when you buy DFI, you can't sell them until you have 2FA turned on. Whilst that's nice and safe, it's something people should be told ahead of time. Second, there's no explanation of how the selling of DFI tokens work, so you have to sell tokens to find out. Again, a little heads up in the FAQ will help people there.

Other than that, I'm more than happy with the service.
