First time we had such a great experience w Cabin for you and we wanted to use the same company again, however, that was the biggest mistake. The customer service is the worst I have ever experienced. Scenic Solitude is not well kept. Everything is broken or not working or bugs are everywhere . So we complained and they sent two maintenance guy unannounced and they just walked in using their codes. I felt violated that I could have been naked. Also there is another cabin right next to you and it鈥檚 very easy access to your cabin. No privacy at all. We lost our cash while we were staying and it was just me, my husband and my daughter. We definitely know it was not misplaced. We still looked everywhere possible but nothing. It was the worst experience I have ever had. Please read the reviews and do yourself a favor. I will never rent from this company again!

First of all we spent 45 minutes in the parking lot trying to check in. I never received the email with address and key code. Had to call 3 times and ask for them to give me a verbal address and code as we was tired and hot sitting in the parking lot waiting in an emailed check in. I understand with the virus things are different but I was not told ahead of time that check in had changed. I was told I had to go to the office with my card to check in.
I do not know who cleans their cabin but they do not do a good job. Kitchen cabinet had food dried on them , rice on top of refrigerator, floors needed a good mopping, carpets need a deep cleaning or pulled up. Parking area was a mess when we arrived beer can water bottles paper. Trash ben was full. Pourches we鈥檙e uninviting, furniture very old unsafe looking. Pourches their self was unsafe looking. Our neighbors on each side had nice pourches. Hot tub was a hot mess, unsafe looking. We had to call our front door would not lock. TV were hard to operate too many remotes some with batteries some with out. Maintenance had to come figure out remotes. WiFi never worked. We got ready to give baths the first night and we realized there were only 3 towels per bathroom x 3 = 9 cabin sleeps 14 we had 13. No wash clothes at all and 1 hand towel per bath. My daughters went to store to buy towels and wash cloths to give children their baths. No kitchen towels. Bed covers need to be washed or replace in a few of the bedrooms. For sure the ground level bedroom as it look like it had drool marks on it. We washed the sheet in that bedroom first night before we slept on them. It was not the original cabin we booked. I feel we were down graded in the move. So we just made do.

I have been staying with your company for over 5 years and this is by far the worst cabin I have ever stayed in. The kitchen cabinet was broken, the downstairs bathroom cabinet in one of the bedrooms was missing, 1 hot tub didn鈥檛 get hot, the other one was only half full and neither was not clean, every toilet in the cabin Is so old& outdated that they was sooo hard to flush and it would get stuck at times then you would have to take the top off to push it down so the water bowl could fill up, one of the microwaves didn鈥檛 get hot, water leaked through the bathroom floor from up stairs when someone took a shower, it sounded like something was inside the cabin walls and eating through it. The lights downstairs kept flickering, the TVs in 10 of the rooms was 19 inch, some of the remotes was missing batteries & one of the TVs volume didn鈥檛 work.

I absolutely love the cabins here! I visit at least twice a year every year! My husband and I both work in the hospital, which has been so stressful at this time.,so we needed a quick get away! The cabins are always clean, game room, and hot tub is a plus, something for everyone to do.The customer service is great! I had the pleasure of booking with Tony this time he was awesome , he thanked me for my hard work being on the frontline at the time of this pandemic.I booked with Jessica already to return again next weekend with my family I also Thank them all also for their hard work at a time such as this !

I wouldn鈥檛 recommend these cabins to anyone. This is the second time we have been to a cabin and the experiences are completely different. The cabin we were in was supposed to be secluded and our neighbors to the left could literally shine their car lights right into the living room area they were so close. While walking through the door we tried to turn on the outside light but it did not work. Upon entering we walked through tons of spider webs to a greeting that our cabin had been cleaned March 29th which was over a month before our stay. We went upstairs while walking through more cobwebs only to find a dirty whirlpool tub with bugs in it which then prompted me to check the outside tub. After walking through another series of cobwebs I open the top of the tub it was already off. So needless to say the tub was filthy like beyond being able to scoop the items out and still enjoy the tub. While going back inside we noticed the pool table that was clearly listed on the website as an amenity was not there, there are cues on the wall and balls on the table under the tv. When I called to get ahold of a guest services rep the phone rang forever and I was the only one in the queue. When I finally got in contact with someone I addressed my concerns and asked what could be done (as far as being switched or refunded)? I was told that they would send maintenance out who would be there in a little bit (never was I given a time frame) and basically was told if they could fix it they would and if not it was what it was. I ended up cleaning the cabin before anyone ever came because I couldn鈥檛 keep walking around in that mess. When someone finally got there to fix the issues (three hours later) they literally fixed the drain to the tub upstairs and drained the hot tub and refilled it (he never made sure it was working because the tub never got hotter than 65 degrees so we couldn鈥檛 even use it while we were there. Another amenity we paid for but didn鈥檛 get. I am highly disappointed because this was my first time ever in Tennessee and my experience was trash. I will not recommend this 鈥渞esort鈥?and will actually tell everyone I can to avoid these cabins with lazy workers at all costs. Trust the reviews guys!

I am telling you do not stay with this company!!!!! We arrived during the worst time of the covid 19….we tried to cancel our reservation which they would not allow us to do mind you not the US is all under states of emergency. When we arrived we received 700.00 in coupons for attractions which every single attraction was closed as well as all the restaurants…you could only do curbside pickup which we all know the quality is not the same. No one would deliver to our cabin. So we thought oh well pur cabin has a fireplace, pool table, sauna, jacuzzi tub, hot tub, fuseball table etc. I also planned a romantic package where we were suppose to have a huge candle light dinner for two which included roses sparkling grape juice, steaks, salad, pasta salad, potato salad, rolls, baked potatos now get this the roses were dead there was no grill for the steaks the salad was slimy and brown with a whole tomato on the top. Then we had added a mountain breakfast which was to include eggs bacon sausage loaf of homemade banana bread fresh fruit orange juice and milk pancakes and syrup for 95.00. We got rotted fruit eggs a half gallon of milk and a box of pancake mix! Then for 125.00 i had a mountain picnic which included alot but out lettuce tomatoes and meat were rotted and spoiled. Then we come to find out our pool table fireplace couch sauna jacuzzi tub were broken. Our jacuzzi tub had muddy water and jets didnt work. We called endless amounts of times a day and they refused to come fix anything we kept getting told they would compensate us at the end of the stay. We spent 6 nights on a loft bed watching a 19 inch tube tv in pure hell! You couldnt even enjoy the view there was so much trash behind the cabin, trash bags in the trees, so mich moss on the windows u could barely see out and oh wait did i forget to mention tons of cob webs hanging from the ceiling right where we slept! Then on last day we waited 2 hours for them to come review cabin and compensate and they wanted to give us 10% off a future stay i mean wow right!!!!!! Please do not believe the pictures on their website! I have never cried so much on a vacation or been disrespected in this way. We spent almost a year saving for this and the company did not care one bit. Ive taken so many pictures i wish i could show people the pics they provided and what we walked into! This was the indigo moon cabin by the way!!!!
UPDATE: as of Sunday march 29, 2020 i was contacted by a representative Katy with gatlinburg falls resort who is trying to rectify the situation. I can atleast say that katy, darren, and theresa have listened to us and understood where we stand and have been polite and respectful as considerate compared to several other reps that I've dealt with. Katy has told me they are in contact with the owners of the cabin to try and rectify all the broken items and cleanliness of that particular cabin. Also she has stated that this particular situation is in progress and being reported to a higher representative to supposedly start the compensation portion. I will keep this posted and hope they follow through with doing the right thing and compensating our horrific trip. Thank you and wish me good luck.

The resort called me and said they would reimburse me 150 if i changed my review on trust pilot to a 3 star and used the excuse that funda were locked whenever they get below 3 stars. I questioned them bc it made no sense but i chose to edit my rating to receive my money back. Well guess what once it was edited they refused my phone calls thwy kept putting me on hold till the hold time exceeded and the call would be dropped. Do NOT TRUST TWO OF THE REPS KATY AND HEATHER!!!! THEY ARE COMPLETE LIARS AND TREAT YOU AS IF YOUR A PIECE OF CRAP LAYING ON SOMEONE'S LAWN!!!!

– Cabin is outdated and in need of renovations and serious cleaning.
– Missing light bulbs
– Couches look like they were from the 70s and in disrepair
– Wall paper peeling off the walls
– Carpet was stained and torn
– Cobwebs interior and exterior
– Two chairs at the table were damaged to such a degree you could not sit in them
– If you walked around in bare feet the bottom of your feet would get black and dirty
-The pool table had not been cleaned from the last "Frat" party

This visit to the mountains (Aug 2019) was our second time renting with Cabins of the Smoky Mountains and it could not have been more perfect. Our cabin was beautiful, quiet, close to attractions, and very clean. The directions and instructions we received at check-in were clear and thorough. We always recommend this company to our friends and family, and we will definitely be booking with them again for our next trip.

Overall we had a great cabin and a great time. Kids loved playing the games when we were there. Only 4 stars because we had to call for some basic supplies like a can opener and other basics. Also in the past homes we have rented, there was a starting supply of seasonings and condiments. We had ants the whole week and some noisy neighbors over the weekend. ? We did see a black bear walking by our cabin! ? The employees were very kind and helpful.

We stayed at the Easy Livin cabin, and it was very nice. The staff was very friendly and quick to help with any needs that may have arrived. We enjoyed our stay, and would recommend using them.

They claim that check in is at 4, but our cabin wasn鈥檛 ready until 730! We drove for 15 hours and had to sit. They don鈥檛 give you an address until it鈥檚 鈥渞eady鈥? So another half hour drive on top of the wait to our destination. Our cabin had so many maintenance issues. We had to call everyday for something. One of the bedroom sinks wouldn鈥檛 drain at all. Another bedroom shower had no pressure at all and dripped all night long. Hot tub didn鈥檛 work the entire stay. The hand rail to the stairs was TAPED. The banester to the hand rail outside was busted out. Garbage and coals on the ground outside as we pulled up. One of the bedrooms had a bathroom door that couldn鈥檛 latch shut. The jets to the jacuzzi bath tub didn鈥檛 work in that room as well. The dryer didn鈥檛 heat up, so it took 5 cycles to dry a load of clothes and then the washer flooded the entire kitchen floor. Maintenance came and said yep it鈥檚 broken. The floors were cratched to hell in some spots, probably need to be sanded and refinished. The outside of the cabin on the deck was dirty, needed a good sweep and a power washing.
Positive notes were that the cabin was clean when we came and management tried to give us some money back on our stay. Probably not as much as we deserved. Based on the line of people waiting to complain I wouldn鈥檛 rent from this company again. The WiFi was also terrible!

Pools rush inn was our cabin & it was spectacular from the pool on the bottom floor to the king bed on the top floor. Chief Ray was brilliant with the anniversary meal that he prepare for us also. We also hike up to Laura Fall it was a great hike. Then we saw the Pirates Voyage, Comedy Barn,& the Hatsfields & Mc Cory show all was great.

Upon arrival, the air conditioning was broken and the backyard was completely polluted with trash including cans, Solo cups, plates, and other garbage. The house was not clean. There were Doritos on the floor and steps. The surfaces were thick with dust and many windows had thick cobwebs in the INSIDE. The surround-sound in the media room did not work and there was a large leak in the ceiling on the first floor from the second floor bathroom. We had to keep a trashcan on the dining room table to catch the water. The Wifi went in and out and was mostly unusable.
The only positive feedback we can give is that guest services was pleasant and responsive whenever we called about the problems we were experiencing.
I would never stay here again or recommend it.

I stayed in the condo (E207) the past few days. The condo was nice and clean. My rental was for 4 people first night only had two wash clothes called for additional wash clothes I got them (went to local store and purchased some.) The old racist couple staying in E 206 called the security ever night making a false complaint. The complained about noise during the night the noise was the closing go the door. The second night after entering the apartment after the pool closed at 11 pm they called security again. The male security guard stated he leave under our renal condo and could hear noise. The noise was the door closing and the dishwasher. If I not already paid I would have gone to another location due my family (African American) being harassed each night by the security. I will never rent here again.

We visited in June 2019 and stayed at the Hidden Valley Resort, Forever Young cabin. Everything was wonderful. The staff was courteous and accommodating, we had no issues checking in, our kids enjoyed the games, jacuzzi and pool, the cabin was a home away from home. It was by far one of our best vacations.

Family vacation ruined by bed bugs…..we booked months in advance and was kookin forward to our family vacation. When we arrived the cabin wasnt ready at check in time and it took over a hour for it to be ready. We drove 8 hours and had no cabin ready at check in. We stayed in aqua paradise.tje rugs were filthy and after the first night my daughter got bit by bed bugs. We informed the front desk and the first thing the lady said was " there arw no refunds" before we could even come to a resolution. I will never visit the smoky mountains again. We cut our vacation short and came home trying to prevent bringing bed bugs home. They did issue a refund after it was all said and done….NEVER AGAIN

The cabin was located in a location which is central to all of the activities in the area. The cabin was really nice but was certainly ready for an update. The carpet on the main floor living room was worn and dirty and the bathrooms are ready for a paint refresh. The front porch is also ready for a refreshed paint job. The cabin had many very nice amenities such as video and pinball games. The hot tub was also very nice and we enjoyed the very large rear porches (one on each level of the cabin). Overall, a nice experience.

Extremely disappointed with the quality of our cabin. After several attempts to a manager the only resolve was new blankets. Floor boards are coming up from floor. Ceiling fan is falling apart. Months if not years of dust accumulated on decor. Mismatched curtains. Filthy deck. We have stayed with this company is the past. We were please, but this has ruined staying with this company. We will be looking else where. Only good thing about our cabin was the view.

The cabin was gorgeous and beautifully decorated!! The beds were exceptionally comfortable, as well! However, it was not the original cabin we chose…..as we found out after the fact, these rental cabins are often simultaneously "for sale". Our cabin was such a cabin and we were notified via EMAIL at 11PM that our cabin was no longer available bc it had been sold. We were offered a refund. This occured a week prior to our trip which was going to be over the Memorial Day Holiday weekend. You can imagine our dismay. After making several phone calls the following day, we were rebooked in a different cabin. However, after viewing it online, it was not as nice as the one we originally booked. So we called again to get it changed. We were accommodated and told that due to our inconvenience, we would be upgraded to a larger cabin for the same price. However, the new invoice didnt reflect this and we had to call, yet again, to correct it.
Like I said, the cabin was beautiful and we ended up having a great time, despite the initial stress.
Bottom line, though, if I had known the cabin was for sell when we rented it and all the stress we endured as a result, I would have chosen a different cabin rental company. Because of this, I dont think I'll be renting from them, again.
As a side note, we have been renting cabins in Gatlinburg for years. We have never had anything like this happen to us when using other companies…..
