To all who have caa during covid ur not allowed to stay with your vehicle and due to this if any damage is done they will deny it. My vehicle was damaged by a tow truck driver they used n they are refusing to fix the damage. Do not use caa u will regret it.

Poor service! I purchased travel medical insurance in December and have not been able to travel from March until now due to Covid and will probably not be able to travel up until my insurance expires in December. That鈥檚 9 months I鈥檝e paid for and they will not give any type of refund or extension of insurance when it says on their website they are offering refunds! Shame on them! I鈥檝e been a good customer since 1990 – they have no loyalty to their customers!

I haven't needed their service for many years but they used to be very good. This past weekend, I needed their service again to bring my son home since his car was stranded 180 Km's from home. This was within the 200 km limit for the PLUS membership but they found several reasons not to tow him. In short, I had to get him and bring him home. We finally got the car home by renting a Uhaul car dolly and towing it ourselves.
CAA is just an uncaring and useless corporation now. They will happily take your money but when you need them, they will NOT help you anymore. They USED to be REALLY good but sometime during the last few years, they decided to stop helping people that really need them.

I am a CAA member for almost 10 years and not once asked for help, however. On August 11 2020, i was at Canadian tire parking lot and my van wouldn't start. I call CAA for help and to tow my car home which was less that 4
Blocks away and the girl from CAA CS told me that CAA don't tow cars home only to a mechanic shop..after trying to explain more, the girl hang up on me. I was speechless, sweeting in the sun stranded during this Covid time. I had to call a private company and pay. I paid CAA all my life and once asked for their services and got kicked to the curb. Never ever again CAA getting my money or my family because my family witnessed this and was shocked as well. CAA needs to get these CS out who are sitting in an AC office and collecting free pay leaving people stranded, customers who pay their hard working money to them and should know that they collecting free pay because of us the customers..

I have been a member for about 25 years. Since I generally buy used cars and keep them for a while, having CAA support is critical. My current car is only 3 years old, so in great shape.
But yesterday, the battery died – at the worst possible time. (get the kid to daycare, get myself to surgury).
CAA showed up in 30 min, with a new battery (6 year warrantly). Installed it on the spot, ran all the checks and diagnostics, gave me a printed report, all for cheaper than my auto shop.
He even used his compressor to clean the leaves out of the engine compartment.
Super friendly and very efficient.
Which has been my usual experience with CAA.
So I very strongly recommend them!

Recently needed my 1965 Jaguar E-Type towed to a garage for service, the CAA rep. that took my request was courteous, polite, professional & understood the concern I had for picking up the vehicle. The tow truck (flatbed) arrived within the stated time frame & the driver (Shah) was extremely knowledgeable on these cars & handled it with kit gloves. He told us how he was going to load the car & went about his work in a professional, experience & careful manner that reassured us that the Jag was in good hands. The car arrived on time & the unloading was a smooth as the pick-up! Shah helped identify one of the problems that we were experiencing with the car…which helped in our discussions with the mechanic. Well Done! I highly recommend CAA!

Just wanted to say a BIG thank you to the dispatcher named Paige and the CAA tow truck driver ( I didn't get his name). My toddler locked himself in the car this morning. It happened so fast. I didn't realize he had my car key. I phoned CAA and Paige was amazing, calm and reassuring. The tow truck driver was in my drive way within 7 minutes. Unlocked my car and freed my little guy. I am currently not a member but will be purchasing the membership now. Thank you CAA for your awesome service!!!!

Bought this membership to use for towing and other needs. Was told when I called in I could do my car from one mechanic to another one , tow truck got there and was super mad the car didnt start then told me he wouldn't tow the car because it didnt have plates on it. They never once explained this to me. So I have paid for a tow membership then ended upnoaying another towing company to tow it. Super rude driver too. Unbelievable dont waste your money!

Today, I finished my shift at the Hospital (RN in Milton ON) and went to my car…realizing I must have left something on..draining the cars battery. I called CAA and was pleasantly surprised at the offer of assistance CAA was giving for frontline workers. Having had a membership in the past, today's situation, combined with the amazing customer service, and super fast arrival of the driver, I'm definitely signing up again. I was so greatful, and couldn't believe CAA (Mark on the line thank-you Mark) was thanking me! Today, it was 100% me thanking you CAA.
Top notch. Couldn't ask for more!

I have been a member at CAA for 43 plus years, I have used/needed help only 3 or 4 times over this time period, I was happy with the service provided for those few times.
Where my complaint is at, is the products they sell. I recently had a fading problem with a Tilley Hat, Tilley told me that fading is not covered in their warranty and CAA could do nothing to push Tilley to come good for the Hat.
This experience caused me to rethink good CAA service outside of their towing or vehicle starts. My recommendation is to stay away from CAA in store sales.

Worse customer service ever! Doesn鈥檛 listen, interrupts so I get irritated then he hangs up on me. I work in a public office and if anyone is that unprofessional we would be reprimanded. And to think they have your personal information, very discouraging.

Useless and frustrating to deal with them for travel. They drag their heels and by the time they get back to you, prices have gone up or seats on planes taken. They used to be wonderful but now they act as if they're doing you a big favor. Do yourself a favor – go elsewhere for any travel packages. Costco is great and their prices beat CAA hands down.

Just received the recent promo in the mail (Aug 2019) advertising for me as past member to renew my membership and get associate membership free for second driver for $72 plus HST. I am so sick of manipulative advertising. My credit card was charged more than this. Turns out it's actually $82 plus HST unless I signed up for automatic renewal. I read the fine print indicating I had to pay with credit card to qualify but not the part re: automatic renewal. I have an effin English degree and eight years of post secondary education and they can decieve me with their fine print. Super disappointment with sleezy marketing tactics. I've called to complain and requested a refund for my $11.30 that was manipulatively over-charged. Of course, I was bounced around to explain my grievance to different staff but no resolution. Looking elsewhere in the future. What is wrong with our society…these big businesses. They are run by human beings who are corrupt, indecent thugs. Feels good to get that off my chest!

I've been a CAA member for almost 40 years and had received excellent service from CAA offices in Montreal, Quebec, Fredericton, Moncton, Halifax, and Toronto. 2 years ago, after moving to London (Ontario), I switched my membership to CAA South Central Ontario, and I was sorely disappointed, I visited their office in London, at the Cherry Hill Mall, a couple of times and I thought the service was poor. I tried not to visit them if possible, but I had to go to their brand spanking new office at 1365 Beaverbrook Ave Unit 101, London, ON N6H 0J1, today, to inquire about my permanent membership card which was overdue. The office may be new and shiny, but the service I received was way worse than what had experienced at their Cherry Hill Mall office. The lady at the desk, wearing a wrist splint, was very abrupt, unprofessional, and ignorant. I had a feeling that she was holding a job she did not really enjoy, and not fit to handle, and to avoid dealing with such unhappy, incompetent people I've decided, after being a CAA member for almost 40 years, not to renew my membership next year and go with one of their competitors such as Canadian Tire or Costco.

My wife was left stranded with no purse because her keys were locked in her commercial van CAA refused to do it but yet gave me a phone number of one of their competitors to go and open the door that ended up costing me $120!!! What kind of protection am I paying over $200 a year for!!!! Totally pathetic!!!! Makes me wonder if I should renew. After over 15 years I have never encountered this issue with my cars or commercial vehicles.

I just needed a boost
It has been hours and the service tracker
says not dispatched yet.
I live in Toronto and see no reason for this type
of delay. I bought caa twice now first and last
too many other companies that are competing for
business. CAA thinks they have monopoly they do not
Younger people know how to shop around

I called on behalf of a friend and I couldn't believe how rude the woman on the phone was. She said I wasn't my friend and hung up on me when I told her to hang on and I would get my friend who was currently indisposed and needed me to do this as a favour. CAA could work on their customer service skills.
