if you have money, drink beer..you dont pay this company..because there is no order….
,
Then they sent me a Fiesta wishbone with a manufacturing defect. A main mounting lug had been welded on at a skew. No big deal. These things happen. This was part of an order that included another wishbone for a Mondeo. I had to source a replacement locally in a hurry to keep the car on the road and so all I wanted was to send it back and get a refund.
Right from the off, the web site and the staff were very unhelpful. Most companies will arrange returns for you. Buypartsby even made it hard for me to work out where to send the wishbone. I had to send a recorded delivery letter and the threaten legal action when they stopped answering my emails. They then said that I had to arrange and pay for the return myself, and they would only consider refunding anything once they had sent it back to the manufacturer and it had been confirmed as faulty. So I was returning it at my own risk (charming!). They accused me of dishonesty and subsequently made nasty (and ridiculous) sideways comments implying that I had damaged it.
After chasing them for three months, during which I had to put up with the occasional insult, they finally sent me a refund. Since I had ordered two wishbones and one was not fit for use, I thought I was entitled to half the shipping costs back as well as the price of the wishbone. They would not give me that.
They offer a flat-rate delivery charge and they claimed that since the Mondeo wishbone would have cost me that to get delivered on its own, and I had kept it, they did not need to refund any delivery costs on the Fiesta wishbone I had returned.
So after a lot of effort and patience I still ended up paying for the privilege of having them send me faulty goods.
I am a very unhappy ex-customer.
