MOST companies would forecast demand and manufacture for stock. My company starts production more than two months in advance, and it's just as well we did, or BuyDisplay would have seriously disrupted our business. I am now seriously worried about this "manufacturer", if indeed it is one. It sounds like they need to get the money first, then scurry off to the ACTUAL manufacturer to order the product so they can ship it to us. I don't think we can do ongoing business with this company. They're probably ok for the hobbyist market but not for real industry.

Yes, there was an automated invoice sent that says is nothing more than the same information than what was on the check out page, or even the paypal page.

I do not mean to be insensitive towards other cultures and their respective holidays, but I most definitely do not keep track of them. Perhaps it would be a courteous thing to put a notification on your site which informs people of scenarios which would cause your business to stop for a full work week. Not that there is anything wrong with shutting down for the time, but it is very deceptive to have the "Open" sign lit up with nobody behind the cash register. I would have taken my business elsewhere, or drove the hour it would have took to guy buy the same stuff at a store.

Thank you for making an offer to compensate potential losses, but it is not necessary. I had placed similar orders with 3 other companies in order to evaluate processing times.
I am a senior software engineer who primarily focuses in and around the eCommerce world. You guys offered very convienient packages for quick prototyping and do so at very reasonable prices. Speaking from experience, in the e-commerce world and in a world which instant gratification is the driving factor for most, it's not enough to have great prices and a solid product. The eCommerce world is very cut throat. Your either in the game or your not. The modification to your software, depending on the platform is at best a few hours of work plus any learning curb. The notification if able, takes seconds to do. If your software does not support it, it is also a few hours of work. Had either or both of those expected features been present, I assure you I would have been accepting and understanding.
