This is a scam!! Apsrt from the book i ordered, they've later charged 390kr from my card!!! And I've sent them email about it without an answer. Don't use this website!

I was charged 129 sek for nothing. had to investigate and found out I became automatically a member when i bought some books a while ago. Scammers, I will make a complaint to the bank and try to reverse what i was charged with.

Dirty trick with membership fee and delayed delivery.
As many others I was caught on this trick with membership fees. In addition I have been waiting for delivery 10 days. It would be better if I went to ordinar shop and bought the book for the less price.

The delivery takes longer than announced at the shop's website. It said the delivery takes 1-4 days. In reality it is the 10th day, but the order has not been delivered yet.

What a bad,i even did not register to be a medlem ,and i was shocked when i found out that it deducted 129 kronor per month in my account with out notifying me…this is not good.

I ordered the book on 27th October and it had an issue. Then, I sent the book 6 days ago for you, and I need the newer one very soon. It is a big delay.

I feel tricked! It was not clear that an automatic membership would start when buying the books. I will definitely warn other customers using different channels.
Maybe this was within 1000 words of terms and conditions, that we customers have never time to read. So definitely as it is not explicit in a clear way, it is miss-leading communication.

They trick you Into joining their book club that cost 129kr each month. It gives info about it hidden in regular standard legal text. STAY AWAY!!!

They use a hidden membership charge to quietly deduct 129sek from your bank account every month until you discover it, as soon as you make a purchase. If you ask for a refund they'll nicely tell you to f### off.

It's the only way to get these scumbags red-flagged so they can be stopped from stealing more peoples money.

I purchased a book online from buuks.se in 2019 and only realized today (Sept 2020) that they have been withdrawing 129 kr from my account every month, approximately for 1 year.

Now I see that their website is setup to show you a 'membership price' for every book, I do not see any regular (non member) prices. You must click a few things to see that they will charge you for membership AFTER the purchase is made. I cannot see they they ever ask if you want to be a member throughout the whole sales process, your simple act of purchasing seems to be taken as an agreement to be a member, at which point you also agree to pay them 129 kr/month.

I contacted the company to discuss the matter this week, and requested that they return all the money they have taken from me (>1000 kr). I argued that their website is misleading because it is not transparent to anyone looking for a quick purchase. They say I should have read their terms and conditions more closely when I purchased the book (all 1800 words of it in Swedish, which I cannot read without a translator). They don't care that they never asked me to agree to be a member, that I could not login as a member, could not reset my password, never had a membership number, and never received a transparent invoice stating what the monthly charges were for. They have not seemed interested over the year that I have not been buying their books either, I suspect many people are donating money to this company without knowing it. My wife and I buy many books, and the monthly credit card charges did not raise a flag with me until now.

When I purchased the book, I received an email receipt for the cost of the book only. No membership fee was shown even there, but indeed if I had read to the bottom of the terms and conditions on the receipt (all 1800 words in tiny font) I would have noticed that they have promised to start charging my credit card 129 SEK per month for eternity, until I login to my account and cancel. As a reminder, I could not even login when I tried to access my account, despite all the money I paid them. I had to write to them by email to cancel the membership, at which point they did cancel it immediately, and blamed me for not understanding their perfectly legal business model.

They have argued to me what they are doing is not a problem, and that I'm the one who needs to change my behaviour in future.

So, I will never use buuks.se again. If you focus on all the 1 star reviews here, you will see I'm not alone. Avoid this company unless you are going to order A LOT of books, for most people you will be throwing money down the drain.
