I was a little hesitant ordering from this company after reading some of the reviews but decided to take a chance. To my surprise, I got an email confirmation immediately and later that day an email saying my item was being shipped later that day. I ordered the dress on a Wednesday and received it on Friday! The only reason I gave it only 4 stars was b/c the dress quality is a little a cheap but you pay for what you get and at that price, I can't really complain.

I shopped a lot online for a flower girl dress. I found many places with cheap prices shipping from China. Instead of that I looked for places that at least were in the states. I came across Butterflyxc and was hopeful. First, I called and got a voice msg from what sounded like an American man, then a late evening call back (i am on the east coast) from what sounded like an Asian woman, who was difficult to understand. I ignorantly thought to myself, "Are they shipping from China?" I got some questions answered but was not ready to place the order until the bride gave the go ahead. Days later I was ready to place the order. But I called again to confirm the details of the dress. This time I understood them better but i was encouraged to place the order on Monday, not Friday and everything would be taken care of for me on the same day. Monday morning I placed the order online. I did not get a confirmation # or anything. I was unsure if it went through so I was reluctant to enter it again. I called the company and left a msg. I did not get a call back or an email confirmation. The next day I checked my account and saw the purchase went through, but then it was refunded. Called the company again and left a msg. No call back. I considered myself lucky that I got my money back. I don't know what happened, but feeling lucky I still have my $$.

WARNING ABOUT THIS COMPANY: They are NOT equipped to handle gift exchanges or returns!!!!! DO NOT PURCHASE their merchandise AS A GIFT!

Positive: Beautiful dresses, especially for the price. Though, I should note that my daughters dress tore at the waist after 2 hours of wear ;o|, but she is five and wiggly so I wouldn't rule out blaming her.

Negative:
* They don't return phone calls. I left around 4 messages on their machine and no one returned my calls. They will answer e-mails.
* They mailed me the wrong size. The order was correct, they just shipped the wrong one. No big deal if they can handle an exchange.
* They couldn't handle a simple exchange. They mailed me the wrong size two weeks before my daughter was to attend the wedding. The problem was that someone sent all my daughters butterflyxc dresses as a gift. I should not have had to pay anything. I contacted butterflyxc and they stated in the e-mail instructions on how to mail it back and that I was to place a new order online for the same dress w/ the correct size. After they receive the wrong dress, they would refund ME the money for the dress and the amount to ship it back. He never reimbursed me like he said. He claims he reimbursed the gift giver, though that was not our agreement. Furthermore, the original gift giver did not have to pay the additional shipping nor did they make a mistake on their order. Either way, I ended up paying $30 in shipping and $30 for a dress – total of 60$ that he agreed to reimburse me and did not. He refused to correct the matter.

I am sure if you are buying these for yourself on your credit card that it is not a big deal. BUT, if you are buying these on your credit card as a gift for someone else, I would not trust them to mail you the correct item or to handle an exchange in the event the company makes a mistake.
