Great service. I had my house on the market with 3 different agents for over a year before we decided to use Butler and Stag. They sold my house for nearly the asking price within 3 months. I think B&S are running a good operation in Shoreditch. There have been a couple of times in the past when service response times and staff turnover have led to some issues and frustrations, however there certainly has been some tightening up of that in the past 6 months. Melisha has been particularly friendly, professional and responsive, so a positive shout out to her. Keep up the good work.

Thank you so much to Tony Game and the team at Butler and Stag for selling a property for me in Theydon Bois. It was a journey with a couple of couples having to back out for different unexpected reasons but within days, they didn鈥檛 rest on their laurels, it was back to business every time and another buyer was on board. I wouldn鈥檛 hesitate to use them again. They arranged and conducted all the viewings as well, everything was extremely professional and even when he broke his ribs and was in utter agony, Tony was at the end of the phone answering all my questions and sorting out everything for the sale.

Often we were in the flat and people were waiting to view outside and the agents would be late… really late or just not turn up and not tell us they cancelled. Very pushy on the phone and told us to have viewings even when we really couldn鈥檛 and saying things like we need to strike while the irons hot! When we had family down and simply couldn鈥檛 have a viewing. Then we sold through them and it fell through. We moved agents and agreed that if they buyer came back that we would take it. They never got in touch until I did only to tell me they have sold her another off the market house! Shame because I bought my house through them in the first place. Hopefully others will have a better experience like I did as a buyer.

I had a bit of a difficult time with Butler and Stag towards the end of my tenancy. After paying 拢300 for a tenancy renewal they broke the agreement and allowed viewings to commence when the landlord put the property up for sale 5 months before the end of the tenancy. We agreed 2 days a week but constant telephone calls begging us to let potential buyers see the flat led us to feel uneasy about living their.
We were kind of forced to use their own 鈥渃leaning company鈥?for the end of tenancy check-out because they would 鈥渄efinitely鈥?say the property was professionally cleaned, this cost over 拢250 for an unfurnished 2 bed flat. As well as a 拢170 checkout fee, which i know is standard but felt unnecessary as the flat had sold. We were promised after the flat had sold someone from Butler and Stag would be in touch to potentially reduce the move out fees because of the innconvience the viewings caused but no one bothered and when we followed up with Nick from the Shoreditch office he was not willing to offer any incentive as it would be 鈥渦nfair to other tennants.鈥?br />
Overall not the best experience which is a shame as they have many positive reviews but towards the end of the tenancy it seemed they wanted to prioritise the landlord selling the property than protecting any right we had as a tennant. After living in the property for two years, paying rent on time and leaving the property in a better condition than what we had found it in felt a real let down. After finally selling the property they didn鈥檛 even drop us a curtesy email to say thanks or let us know the viewings would not continue. Very disappointing but hopefully learnings that can avoid future scenarios.

I have recently sold a property in Theydon Bois and I have to say that Tony and his team were excellent. They are extremely knowledgable and they know what is happening with the local property market. All members of the Theydon branch have been punctual and extremely polite and professional. Great work , keep it up.

Fantastic, responsive personalised service. Nothing was too much trouble. We hadn鈥檛 moved home for years but Butler and Stag made what is a stressful process as smooth as possible. They were always there at the end of the phone to talk through anything. Their completion manager Levant was outstanding but the whole team were faultless. We would definitely use them again.

I have used various agencies around the UK for accommodation, some greater than others however none have come close to quality and professionalism of Butler and Stag. From the start to present (current tenant), my application and any queries have been dealt with in a quick and efficient manner. We tried many different agents to look for a property in or around Loughton and Chigwell and they seemed to not be hard working and we would always have to chase them.
