Initially they were lovely and hard working but they started smoking cannabis during breaks (we could smell it) and things went down hill from there with longer and more frequent breaks (which were paid)
Eventually we had enough and told them to leave. We got other companies in to quote to finish as we were never going to have builders in on a day rate again! The first two companies didn鈥檛 want the job because of the issues with the quality of work that they would have to repair or finish.
We have had to pay thousands to rectify various issues such as:
-storm drains put in without proper forethought so it was in the wrong place and too high
-tiered sleepers concreted in without cutting them to size first which has made the cutting twice as difficult and time consuming
– building steps two blocks too high and not bothering to point them
-granite faced wall was 鈥榤essy鈥?and poorly finished (according to the builders we asked to finish the job)
– cut and cemented coping stones on top of the wall before the timber wall slats and they weren鈥檛 big enough to cover the top edge of the slats so the new company had to replace 30 metres of coping stones.
we have held off writing this review but as more and more issues come to light, we feel we have an obligation to forewarn others.
