Downloaded one theme which had serious and basic issues with functionality – issues with how fonts are displayed in the navbar etc.
I wrote a comment to reflect this, and the author deleted it so no one could see it. I tried again, but the same happened. He claimed I was asking for support (which I was not) and that I was being abusive (that I was not).
He is clearly more interested in hiding from negative reviews than fixing his shoddy theme. If he had just accepted a negative comment and fixed the issue, then we wouldn't have a need to take the matter further. He even lied to Envato describing the comments as 'abusive' and 'revenge' for not getting support. That's an outright lie and he knows it.
If you're wondering why such mediocre WordPress themes are getting 5 star reviews, that's why – he deletes any criticism or negative review.
Incompetent and unprofessional – as per the blog and forums. Buyer beware – we are going to publicise this shady practice.
