BUNQ IS THE BUNQ OF THE SCAMMERS. THIS IS NOT A BANK. BUNQ IS A CRIMINAL ORGANIZATION CREATED SPECIFICALLY FOR THE SCAMMERS. They have creates an instagram app so criminals can quickly open accounts and scam honest, hard working people. The creator of this criminal organization needs to be behind bars. There is no excuse for creating an app that attracts criminals and gives them account numbers to commit crimes. There are countless of negative reviews about this scam bunq.

Bunq – bank of scam.
Blocked my account with no reason at all and I didn't get response from them for 3 months now. On my bunq account still 2415.00 EUR and I can't get them, bunq ignore all my messages.

A big change in the last update. Had to find a couple of my favourite features. But there is still no alternative that feels so natural. With Bunq you can organize your finances as you personally want.

Absolute disgrace! Blocked my account for making suspicious transaction yet I did not make any! They are withholding my money for 2 months. They do not reply to emails or in-app messages. You have to call them out on Social media to get an answer. They also pap people on twitter to give them good posts.

Stay away. They have released a version of the app that hasn't been tested. Core functionality like making bank transfers and adding people to bank accounts isn't working (strange error messages appear) and their customer service – if they are responding at all – are not helping.

I was a huge fan of the app and all services until the new release of v3.0, maybe it's still in such an early stage but the UX flows gotten much worse and the added 'us' functionality does not add much value to to this moment. Hopefully rapid improvements are made again since I was and hope to be again a big supporter of bunq.

Fake advertising. They offered their bank account for free, forever, then changed their minds and gave us a few weeks to close our accounts and have to deal with governments and institutions to change our account numbers right in the middle of the pandemic. On top of that they say it was OUR choice, which is NOT true, since we had the app nagging us to switch to a premium account every time we used it for years and they knew very well that we didn't do that because we wanted our accounts to stay free, which was the major selling point of their service. An account with a REAL BANK like ING costs less and comes with more services.

No customer service and very expensive. Just use ING. Better app, much better customer service and cheaper.

Why is Bunq since 3 years already the place to go for Marktplaats scammers?

Too much changes. I want a stable bank I can trust.. not some toy project of a nerd wanting to redo everything every now and then..

They don鈥檛 take the banking serious anymore: they prefer to release an app full of bugs and have many major issues, instead of testing and listening to customers. Their only purpose right now is to plant trees. They (I think the CEO especially) totally loose their minds. It looks like planting trees is his new goal and he wants to do this with bunq. I don鈥檛 know whether it鈥檚 because of the environment or the expensive subscriptions for bunq supergreen (17,- per month).
The result is that the first thing you see when opening the app, is how many trees you have planted. You have to scroll downwards to see your accounts. On the next page in the app, there is a tab called 鈥楿s鈥? There you see all kind of bunq-green-advertizing. I don鈥檛 expect that with a premium-membership of 8 euro per month, which is quite a lot for a banking app.

My conclusion is that bunq lost his focus on banking (maybe they were finished with that, can be beacuse the previous version was sublime).

It seems like they prefer an early launch of this green-app instead of testing well and listen to the customers.

There were many major incidents (like card which weren鈥檛 visible and working). I know that because of the user-group. Bunq don鈥檛 communicate anymore.

Unfortunately, I would recommend bunq anymore. It's been way to much wrong with it, lately. The new app, the support and the Together forum.

The support has been bad since the beginning. No service by phone, only through the chat when signed in. That's not how a bank should be reachable. When the computer says no, the support says no.

The app update has made everything even worse. It's not an update you would expect from a bank. I got used to the couple of features that make bunq unique, otherwise I would've moved my stuff without a doubt. These features include: multiple accounts, API, 2 pincodes for each card, virtual cards and a travel card.

Bunq V2 was awesome. Bunq V3 is bad. Step back in terms of UX design. And the announcement and communication of the new version was surrounded with arrogance and ignorance.

V3 is tough use. V2 was intuitive and things were super easy to find. Now I find myself looking for the same things for ages. Apart from that it鈥檚 buggy. I had a credit card payment declined, because the card wasn鈥檛 activated, but it was an online card.
It鈥檚 just not a good experience anymore. We just considered switching to a more traditional bank because we are looking to get a mortgage. But we went bank to bunq because the experience at Abna was awful. And now V3 comes along and it鈥檚 just disappointing. It鈥檚 not much different from the awful experience we had at abna.

The new app is a step backwards. They should listen to their users and stop ignoring feedback and acknowledge that they screwed up!

Furthermore I鈥檓 still a happy customer, bunq offers a lot of features I really love. The multiple bankaccounts, automatically sort your salary into multiple accounts etc!

My daughter had a Black Friday Deal were she had a lifetime free bunq account with the only restriction that she couldn't pay more than 250 euro per month. After a year and a half they said that plan was over and now she has to become a Premium member and pay 8 euro's per month.

If a bank doesn't keep its promises they don't deserve your trust.

I've enjoyed the four and a half years I've been with bunq. I've actually been with bunq since the very beginning when bunq became available to the public. All updates so far have been great improvements. But the V3 update is just terrible.

Unfortunately, the update is not the only thing that's terrible today. Lots of other bunq users have provided helpful, insightful, constructive feedback over the last few months. Users who love bunq, who are involved with the community, users who want bunq to succeed. The feedback comes from deep within their hearts, out of a place of love.

Bunq is continually saying they value all feedback, but how can this be true? They have completely ignored almost all of the feedback that has been given, and even removed it from public view! Even problems that were in plain sight during the Update 14 livestream are still present and not corrected! Meanwhile, the only comments that bunq responds to are those that pretend that everything is fine and nothing is wrong.

I loved the bunq of the past that actually made banking easy, and took every user seriously. I loved the bunq of the past that made a great banking service along with a terrific banking app. I don't love the bunq of today that makes an extremely messy UI and presents it as a major improvement. I don't love the bunq of today that shuns all feedback of their loyal users.

The recent behavior of bunq breaks my heart. Unfortunately, this means goodbye for me. I鈥檓 moving my business to a bank I can in fact trust and rely on.

V3 is a disaster:
– Merging business and personal accounts is super confusing and annoying, especially if you manage 2+ entities.
– Hiding core baking actions behind marketing BS such as Instagram feed or blog articles on CO2 is not essential to why I got this app.

I could easily give 5 stars to the V2 and I was a super happy customer, but now I am forced to move the banking somewhere else. V3 is a time sucker and a complete UX failure.

Their latest release is not bank-worthy.

Banks need to be stable, trustwothy and reliable. Bunq lastest app update sucks. They ignored customer feedback, delete support threads, I can no longer make payments and temporily lost access to my business account. I have already spend hours on getting support. Total diasater.

Besides the above, Bunq has become a marketing machine. Get ready to bombarded with all sorts of crap that does not enrich the experience, nor your life.

I am out.

My partner and I have used bunq for about 2.5 years. It鈥檚 is our only bank. And for the majority of those 2.5 years we have been happy.

That all changed with V3.

What used to be a simple to use, elegant and functional modern banking interface has transformed into an absolute mess.

To make matters worse the company and their egomaniacal CEO are ignoring customer feedback (the majority of which is negative) and actually censoring people on their 鈥渢ogether鈥?community forums.

I can鈥檛 trust them anymore. My partner and I are arranging to move our money to a traditional bank.

I will never use Bunq again. This bank is arrogant. I have been a premium customer of bunq since 2017 and have been paying 7.99 euro a month. This is a lot of money in today's world where free banking and low cost and free banking services actually exist. I did this however because I believed in Bunq and its interface was easy an simple to use and I wanted to show support and loyalty for startup bank.

Things changed however yesterday after I installed the V3 update. The entire interface has changed for the worst from an easy to use interface into a multiple clicks buggy interface with features hidden. It went from a interface with a pay button to a removal of the pay button to be replaced by icons showing you how many trees you have planted, how much Co2 you saved and how how much time you saved . Basically absolutely useless bits of irrelevant information for a banking application. Not to mention the share amount of bugs in this release. Accounts are missing, debitcards cannot be distinguished from physical and virtual, function to block a debitcard that appear and then randomly disappears. The list is endless. This release has not been tested properly and I would not even call it s beta release let alone a full production release and Bunq is a BANK. The banking regulators in the Netherlands need to take a closer look at what bunq is doing here as I have Instagram posts in my banking app that nobody wants to see. This raises security and privacy concerns in my opinion.

To make matters worse I took to "Together Bunq" forum to voice my concerns politely. What I receive was my threads closed, posts deleted and now I have been banned from posting in the forum with no reason given. So have many others been banned from voicing their opinion. I have since removed all my money from the bank to be on safe side. I contacted support as a premium customer as I can no longer use forum to resolve my issues. Support has not come back to me. I know I am not the only one banned from the forum and silenced from giving criticism of this failed released. They refuse to even roll back this failed release. The entire forum is 99.9% negative on this V3 release. Yet bunq is censoring, deleting and banning users who voice legitimate concerns. I will close my bank account at end of month if this release is not rolled back.

This is so tragic a bank has gone from hero to zero and destroyed itself and reputation in a single release. The problem is compounded also by how they have handled the fallout from it by ignoring the customer.

I would advise everyone to move money to another bank until issues are resolved. Bunq do not response to constructive criticism or the overwhelming majority of people on forum complaining about the V3 release. Move your money and wait for interface to be fixed. Vote with your money that is only thing bunq will respect.

IMPORTANT UPDATE:

I examined Bunq's last published financial report for 2018. The bank is in financial trouble with 10m having to be injected to keep the bank alive. This explains a lot of the banks actions in terms of promoting high value subscriptions, forcing free accounts to become paid 7.99 a month accounts and the overall push to change the mobile app into a marketing tool. I am so glad I pulled my money. Deposit insurance or no deposit insurance I would rather stay with a more stable traditional bank. I would advise anyone to google "bunq 2018 financial report" and read it carefully. 2019 financial report I believe has not been published yet.

I would have giving them a higher review. But the last update they've really let me down as a user and are focussing more on their own image and organisational sales, instead of making it easier for me to bank.
