Bunnings

The staff at Rockdale Bunnings are RUDE. Plus, they have replaced most of their older staff with people who have no knowledge or experience in DIY (which Bunnnings prides itself on). Today, it took me 15 mins to find a staffer so that I can ask a question. The Staffer told me he 鈥渄idn't know鈥?the answer as he was trying to "complete training on the [PC] screen" at the SERVICE DESK. He did not call anyone else to assist me. I was just left standing there (and so I ended up going back into the aisle and I used Google on the phone to get the answer and find the product. I also deciding to buy the product elsewhere whilst in the actual Bunnings store even though the product was on the shelf in front of me, as this was not the first of such terribble experiences. NOTE: The Staffer had no problem after I left him to have a 10 minute conversation with a female staffer. And the irony: every 5 mins the overhead messaging repeated on loop to customers to "not be rude to staff". The message should be "staff, stop being rude to customers and provide them with customer service鈥?.

Stock instore movements – It irritates me to the max when I go to the aisle where I know the item was on the shelf- only to find it has been moved somewhere else. The result is walking up and down aisles to find something as simple as a bolt. There are less staff these days and I find they avoid customer contact ( I was told not to sell when I worked at Bunnings in WA – just stack the shelves) so forget asking a team member because the KID may be on day 1 Ha ha. I was informed by a team member that they follow what happens "over east". Really – so in WA we don't have anyone with a marketing brain. It confounds me as to why you would upset the customer experience – even challenge the customer by making it harder to make a purchase – yeah – get customer to pass by as many items as possible. Well that is one theory but fails to win me over – in fact when I eventually find the item, I'm out of there in a flash, so the theory employed has a reverse effect on me – what about you. So the ES marketing gurus have failed in my book and Stratco WA will get more of my $$$$.

Staff in the timber section at Southport seem to go out of there way to be rude and unhelpful. We are standing in front of the decking timber and I ask if there are any 1.8m lengths and the reply is look for yourself.

Several years ago my impression of Bunning's customer service was poor. Any half recent experience has been very good on a personal level.
Their website is clunky, being kind. It's easier to search Google than step back in time long ago to realise how far the web has come. I can't help but think it must hurt them more than me but is what it is although I understand they are working on it. I hope they are getting close as their website is also closed for customer use way too much at present.
Click and collect generally works very well but drive and collect seems to go off into the ether at my local Bunnings.
Prices are at least v competitive and frankly so is the ease of use of the stores.

Bunnings at the bethinia qld branch is the worst store, there is. Ever time you go to the information centre if someone is there they tell you they will be back in a second. So you wait, five minutes later still waiting. So you leave to see what has happened only to find she is talking to work mates that work there. And for got.

I would just like to give A personal thank you to Tom in plumping supplies at Cannon hill Bunning. I am from Russell Island community garden and I was putting in a wash basin. With Tom help I was able to complete the job with all the material and advise from Tom. Thanks for making it a easy exercise.

I typically shop at Bunnings Carseldine. Firstly, you can NEVER find a staff member to assist you. When you do finally find a staff member, he/she is aged early 20s with nil knowledge. Extremely frustrating! Why dont Bunnings employ senior staff with manners, respect and knowledge.
Today i shopped for plants with my son's girlfriend. We both bought plants and wished to buy separately. I asked the arrogant smart-ass male 23 odd yr old if we could. He walked around with his scanner, and before i had the opportunity to point out which plants were mine, he sarcastically and rudely mouthed, "what am I scanning?" It was the way he said it which really annoyed me. Im sick of interacting with young rude employees.

Disappointed with customer services at Bunnings…Staff don鈥檛 seem to have knowledge or experience in areas they work in…I remember when Bunnings employed old experienced workers who understood products & needs of the customers, unfortunately they seem to employ younger inexperienced employees who don鈥檛 understand or have the knowledge to assist customers. Eg: Rocklea Bunnings, Springfield Bunnings, Acacia Ridge. Bunnings

I google a lot about products, i find a lot of bunnings links to products they don't have. Thinking, great bunnings have it, hit the link and there's no mention of the product. Very annoying, like crying wolf, i don't bother hitting the link so much anymore. Such a trusted company to do this cheap advertisingis very annoying, as why im taking the time to write this.

Kafka-esque experience at Bunnings Eltham, hiring a Britex carpet cleaner. It travelled in the back seat of my car until being taken out to be used, where existing damage to the equipment was apparent. When it was returned to the store, I was blamed for the damage, informed by the relevant staff member that they would have noticed this prior to renting it out. While my first instinct would be to doubt myself, I cannot see any way this damage could have been caused during transit, particularly given physical indications on the equipment that the damage was older. I presume I will lose my deposit, and possibly more concerning have a mark against my name should I wish to hire things in the future. I would advise anyone if they are considering hiring from this store to thoroughly check equipment prior to taking it home.

I looked on their website for a product I was interested in. After setting my correct local store (Warragul Vic) on the website, the website let me know the item was in stock. Visited the store and found the product I was after on the shelf (or at least display boxes were). There were a few of these display boxes on the shelf so I picked one and took it to the information desk to buy the item. You鈥檇 think that each of the display boxes would represent an available item in stock right? No that鈥檚 too simple. So at the checkout I鈥檓 told sorry it鈥檚 out of stock. I鈥檇 only driven about 30 minutes to get there. I said the website showed that stock was available, only to be told it shouldn鈥檛. Not exactly my problem Bunnings. They didn鈥檛 seem to give a rats about the inconvenience to me and just made all kinds of excuses. The whole experience was crap and together with previous negative experiences of shopping at Bunnings, leaves me feeling like boycotting the whole crap outlet all together.

Outstanding service
Outstanding service. I would like to thank Steven Jamieson and Peter in Timber Yard, North Penrith store for their great customer service. Steven knew his products & assisted me with a Very positive & happy attitude. I had arrived to the store close to the closing time Yesterday 25/6/20 with very minimal idea of what I was required to purchase for the timber Decking. I was on the phone to my husband trying to figure out what was required, Steven and peter waited very patiently and guided me through all the products required, assisted me to read the plans and obtain the measurements too. Steven was open to suggestions and specifics to fulfill the material required. His directions, product options and assistance was customer service as first priority. I must say He is a prime example in his customer service and product experience capability. Steven is an assets to the North Penrith team. Hats off to all the three boys working on Timber Yard around 7:20 pm on Thursday night 25/6/20. Thank you for your patience and service. Much appreciated.

Munno Para West store have a couple of great staff but are outnumbered by arrogant, unhelpful and provocative staff. If they can't handle retail they should be made to do a mandatory 2 years in the army. I've never heard so many whinging about having to do their job. There should be a comment box so deserving people can be given their jobs.

On the 18th June 2020 I had a engaging customer experience with JD in relation to a product on plinth base. JD was open to suggestions and specifics to fulfill the material required. His directions, product options and assistance was customer service as first priority. It has been 5 years since I have received this type of service at the Smithfield store and I must say JD is a prime example in his customer service and product experience capability. In this one time experience today with JD is a reflection as how important customer service and experience is to all bunnings customers across all bunnings warehouse stores.

Yet again Bunnings customer service palms customer off everywhere around their network but actually advise in suggestions or assisting in a DIY. When looking for a replacement part on a ventilation unit Bunnings is not a 1 stop shop, they didn't give me advise on a like part to assist me nor offer a place where I could possibly obtain a suitable part, nor did they reply to my previous question of can they install a new system, therefore Bunnings is a waste of time as in their response below.

We are only able to source replacement parts for brands and products sold by Bunnings so we will not be able to assist in this instance.

The store in Wollongong used to be good, but they seem to have new staff, and the new staff is quite incompetent, unhelpful and unfriendly. The only nice person this morning was the young lady outside next to the hand sanitizers. The worst was the old lady at the refunds counter. She knew nothing and was totally arrogant and unhelpful.

Thankyou to Cath at Bunnings Moorabbin who went out of her way to solve our problem. Selling a blower vac without a charger or battery then giving us the complete run around at Mentone Bunnings became a chore, not a pleasurable shop.Although Mentone staff were courteous some staff gave us conflicting information which made us return to the store six times. Not much fun in this climate of Covid 19 waiting in a que.
We decided to ask for help at Moorabbin and Cath solved the problem and was extremely informative and helpful.
Thanks Cath …. Kaz Kelly
