easy to use. phone support is a great help. i can't stand those companies that don't offer phone support. buildium helps streamline so much. just wish they would allow tenant files to compartmentalize in one place. For example, tenant app, screening docs, inspection reports, tasks, requests, etc. These things should automatically be accessible in the tenant summary page. Instead, I need to go to inspections-find that tenant report, etc. It is a bit annoying to have to go to 3 or 4 different places, then download, then upload just to have a complete working history of a tenant file.

Great software, very user friendly. My review is shy of five stars due to the customer service availability. It's hard to get someone on the phone or to have them call you back, but if and when they do, they're very helpful.

There are two major deficiencies: 1. the program does not permit you to put in a date range when reviewing and printing a resident's account statement, you are limited to all, 30 days, 3 moths and 12 months; 2. the recurring charges report aggregates all recurring charges; you should be able to view recurring charges by category, for example: a) common charges, b) special assessments, c) storage, etc.

Buildium is an excellent site. Being from Canada though, there are things that they do which are not useful to us, and things we wish they did, but probably the number os Canadian clients might not justify the expense. Canadian tax system for example.
Another problem is that tenant payments by credit card are not extended to Canada. Don't know why, we were no offered a reason.

It works great, it's a little pricey, but worth it due to the great support. Anytime I have any issues, they resolve them quickly. I highly recommend Buildium.

I would have given Buildium a 5 star until this last couple weeks with the Tenant Portal payment system failing to work for about 20% of my Tenants or more.

Our property manangement company has used Buildium for over a year and we can't wait to switch (which unfortunately will take some time, in part because how hard it has been for all our tenants to just get setup in their terrible system). Their customer service is terrible- often taking weeks to respond to inquiries if they ever respond. Their software is poorly designed, burying things inside tons of menus with no breadcrumbs to return to menus. It generally takes 10 steps to do what other software can do in 2-3. Their registration for LLC bank accounts is beyond insane and requires dozens of steps that other services don't demand including hard credit inquiries for every owner every time. And once you jump through all those hoops- they can't even sync with your bank account to record transactions so everything must be done manually. Their app is next to useless and can't even record receipt photos. Often their staff are unfamiliar with their software and unable to help with basic question by phone. It's a hot mess and they treat their paying customers like a hassle. They send polls asking for feedback, which I always respond with a 1 star and they never inquire what's wrong or take any of our suggestions. They've done everything they can to earn this bad review- please don't make the mistake we did and don't use Buildium!

I have been using Buildium for over 5 years. I'm a treasurer of an association and it was the software used by management prior to me taking it over. I've been doing accounting for over 25 years. This software has a LOT of glitches. Just recently, I went to reconcile March of 2020 bank account and all of my reconciliation from 2019 through 2020 are no longer done and there is data missing. I now have to go back and reconcile over a year's worth of data. The person that I spoke with in customer service asked me if I did anything which is clearly not the case. Can't wait to find a better software…. Been having issues since the beginning.
