I ordered six Hart & Cooley brand HVAC vents and dampers. Hart & Cooley is a legitimate and well regarded manufacturer of such products. I suspect the products I received are counterfeit. The products I received were bent, racked, the dampers don't fit the vents, didn't work as they should.
I immediately emailed builders supply to return these products and included photos showing the product deficiencies. After two weeks, multiple emails, and numerous phone calls I still haven't been given a return materials authorization. I've been told I have to be patient and wait another week to return the materials. Given the photos I provided a decent vendor would have provided a return materials authorization within hours or days, not three weeks!
Bad products, zero follow-up, poor customer service. It's a pity I can't give them a negative or zero rating.

I ordered an item, and it never showed up. I talked to support about it and they tried to blame this on me. Eventually I got through to them that they were in the wrong and needed to do something about it. They said they would get back to me, but never did.
As a result, I had to complain to MasterCard and file a chargeback for the money I spent, as I had received nothing, and they were not going to refund me. MasterCard agreed and returned my money. MasterCard gave them 90 days to provide a reason why I owed them money, but they did not respond.
6 months later these morons send me a letter from a collection agency claiming I owe $72, plus some fake $20 fee. They have NO LEGAL RIGHT to send such a letter, I do not owe them anything, and they certainly cannot charge me extra fees without my permission! I told the collection agency to shove it where the sun don't shine and haven't heard back. They know they have no legal way to collect or do anything about it. The idea of involving a collection agency over $72 is just plain stupid and shows complete business ignorance.
To call these morons SLEEZY would be a compliment. They have multiple website that hide behind each other, "Buliders Area", "Security Locking", and others. Clearly some kind of scam going on here. Surely actual builders and contractors do not order anything from these morons with this kind of service!
